Jaye Moon uses plastic toy LEGO blocks to construct the forms of her sculptural art. By using this the LEGOs as her primary medium, the public is able to interact with Jaye Moon’s work by deconstructing or reconfiguring the mosaic like bricks — making them communal objects within the city’s landscape that can easily be picked up, broken down or rebuilt.

In today’s connected environments, teamwork, collaboration and camaraderie are critical to thesuccessful completion of dynamic and complex projects. This exhibition invitesthe viewer to explore the persuasive power of collaborative art and designprinciples. Many of the works in this exhibition capture the processes andstages of collaboration, demonstrating the story of social and technological changes that have transformed our daily workflow, project conceptualization, and execution processes.

​Nachtmann Petals by Alvaro Uribe

Following Nachtmann`s tradition to blend crystal and nature elements, this design is inspired in rose petals which tempt you to submerge into an ambience of romance and relaxation. Developed by abstracting the shape of the petals and converging them into one language, which is both dynamic and sculptural. The poetry of its pattern accentuates the purity of the Crystal along and with its brilliant light refraction will bring a delicate touch to each table and environment. 

Designed for Nachtmann a Division of Riedel Glassworks. Made in Germany.

Ohm Wrestling is a human powered, collaborative mechanical arm wrestling competition.

Two mechanical arms are setup in arm wrestling position for teams Blue and Orange. Each team has an array of energy harvesting devices behind them feeding into the corresponding arm (Shake, Push, Pedal, Pull, Crank). The various devices show different methods of harvesting kinetic energy from human motion, energy that the participants use to power their team’s arm. The harder the teams work, the more power they produce - giving more force to their arm to win the competition. In addition, each device is equipped with a light to show each user their own contribution to their team's winning the competition.

Variables that contribute to a team winning the competition include the amount of watts produced as well as the endurance of the team (how long they can last at peak energy production levels). A large meter reflects the teams' status/energy produced for the competitors and the audience. By Hannah Mishin. Mobile Print Power is a mobile print collective based in Corona, Queens that uses printmaking as a vehicle for collaboration and empowerment. The 20 core members of Mobile Print Power have developed a working methodology for engaging their community in the creation of printed work in public space.
