New Apartment Vibes

As I sit here in my apartment, taking in my space, I am filled with such a strong feeling of gratitude, its almost overwhelming . I see my own soul being reflected back to me in every item, every nook, and each cranny of my place. I can see my creativity being expressed everywhere. It’s in all of the colors I choose, every pattern selected. Each with the intention of creating a mood. My compassion shows through my plants, their big green leaves, encompassing my window is all that I see each morning. Their growth is due to my nurturing and to see them reach for the ceiling is all the thanks I need. The way I show love and compassion to my cats is quite obvious, with most of my abode being covered in various cat toys, beds and things to climb. Even in my candles will you find some scents of compassion, as they are all some form of my loving intentions of comfort and peace. My fierceness comes out when it needs to, in the simple aspects of keeping the place locked up when I leave. I work long hours, tirelessly, to afford and maintain the place I love so much. I will do whatever I can to remain here in this place of opportunity. I look forward seeing all of the aspects of my soul i’ve yet to uncover, and I am thankful for all that I have.

I show up to this day with humility. I recognize my minds' limitations to create soul alignment and I welcome guidance from a deeper source of wisdom within me and outside of me. I make myself available for my Dharma to express itself. I trust the timeline it may take for my ego to surrender to my soul. I will be patient and compassionate in that process. But I will be fierce in my commitment to not abandon myself and to only act when I feel the resonance of Truth.

I See Life Through a Bob Ross Filter

In my many times of sadness, and with my general dislike of being sad a life-changing realization was thrust upon me. One must be actively searching for their happiness despite the apparent lack of. Too often i have felt an unbearable bleekness. Eyes that see only in shades of gray. My mind in those days resembled a lump of clay- cold, gray, and useless. Finally, a frustration set in, a sort of time-to-get-my-life-back hustle if you will. I realized that in times of gray, i need to be aware of the world. When i cannot see the good within myself or others i must direct my gaze elsewhere. Nature, as pure a newborn and as promising as one. It can provide one with a sense of happiness that not even oneself can produce.  I found that Bob Ross was an absolute master at this, oftentimes turning times of dismal outlook into simplified “happy little trees”.   He referred to the things he painted in such a carefree tone, putting one at ease instantly. He created a space that was safe, forgiving, and beauteous. Mr. Ross had a way with inspiring others, much like an eccentric uncle would. He created many artists, and i think also, happy people In a world such as ours, it is so easy to be beaten down and trampled by life. and in that  instance one can do only one thing! Put on your Ross-Spectacles and get ready for a new world.  One where you can find contentment in just existing, and joy in the way the grass sways in the breeze. It’s your world, see it as you please! Find inspiration in the multicolored leaves that adorn the trees. Where mistakes are just birds that fly fro, and even accidents are happy. With these specs, life is just a beautiful painting, where happiness is gained with the help of a jolly little afro’d man called Bob Ross.

A Fret:

i worry about the times i cannot seem to focus. i fear that i will always be restless. i spend my days, sitting in a room filled with screens. i force my eyes to stay glued to the fast-talking, bright, rapid-moving pictures on the screens. they speak a language foriegn to my own. it is only a slight buzzing when i strain so hard to hear. when the pictures go dark, and language flows in a way i can recognize i still cannot comprehend. to describe, it is like yelling to someone from a distance. only bits and pieces travel through the airwaves, in through my forehead, and into my brain igniting sparks of a partial connection....comprehension... i sit. composed above only my shoulders. my feet tapping the floor creating a sporatic rhythm. my hands roam the table, frequently patting about. my ears are filled with cotton and i am straining to listen. my heart is so loud i wonder if it is freaking anyone else out. i sit and stare and wiggle and tap, and tap and tap and tap. always moving, my eyes scan the room almost as quickly as the man on the screen is ranting. i am restless. really. rest less. i feel like electricity courses through me at all hours of the day. powering the feet that tap and eyes that scan and increases my heart rate a good few notches. i drink coffee to try to focus but it only speeds my feet. i hope that some day the bees will stop buzzing in my ears and around my belly, and that my legs will be contented being crossed. and that my toes will do their last dance inside my shoes and that stilllness can be achieved. thts all 4 now folks. who am i kidding no one is seeing this. maybe thats a good thing.

Alright but how weird are sneezes?? why do we never discuss this?? its literally someone forcefully pushing air out of their nose in the middle of a conversation and we all just carry on about our day as if it’s nothing. its so weird yall
