to be left crying and staring at the wall, wishing you could go back and live once again in the pages of a book, takes a certain type of story.
to be a reader, is something beautiful, and extraordinary, and wondrous; to experience the journey of another's life in such a way we can't accomplish in reality. but even more beautiful, and extraordinary, and wondrous, is to experience how a story can make us feel the deepest emotions, so much so, that we can't explain it, no matter how hard we try.
The Invisible Life of Addie Larue by V. E. Schwab, you have consumed my whole being and made me feel understood on a level i didn't think was possible, and i would sell my soul, to experience the feeling of reading you for the first time again.
i love the feeling of starting a new book; the unknown and the innocence that comes with it. because before you know it, you've read enough to know the story and get into the plot, and that experience of reading without knowing is gone, until the next book you pick up.
i've always dreamed of a life, bigger and bolder, than the one i inhabit
impromptu poetry to release my thoughts - 24.02.2023
i carry around so much sadness, that it's sometimes overwhelming; that it can feel like the world is ending; that i feel like i need to be one with the darkness in order to escape it.
i carry around so much sadness, that at times i forget how to breath; that late at night, i wonder if i'm ever going to feel happiness again.
i carry around so much sadness, that it's a wonder how majority of the time it doesn't cross my mind, yet when it does, i feel it so intensely with my whole being, that i am consumed.
