Remember where you are, who you’re with. You’ll look back on this moment and see the little things ended up being the big things. 22. Respect is a minimum. 23. We lose ourselves in the things we love. We find ourselves there, too. 24. Seek respect, not attention. It lasts longer. 25. You cannot change what you refuse to confront. 26. Nobody really knows what they want, not until it’s right in front of them. 27. Someone can be gone yet more present than anyone else. 28. You’ll never truly cherish the people in your life if you keep hoping for those that hurt you to come back to you. 29. Life doesn’t get better, you do. 30. Value yourself. Of course I’m happy for you. There’s a light in your eyes again. A small, faint sparkle that comes to life when you talk about her. I haven’t see it in a while. There’s a whimsical, carefree air about you. It’s been so heavy lately, dark. You’re happier, lighter. I haven’t felt your energy and joy in months. Your laugh is fuller, more honest. It’s been hollow for so long, fake. It takes my breath away every time I hear it.   Why wouldn’t I be happy for you? I’m happy for you, but that doesn’t mean I’m happy. There’s always pressure behind my eyes. I’ve been holding back tears for far too long. Can you see the way they glisten when you say her name? The pounding in my ears never lessens. I don’t think you’re supposed to hear your heartbeat this long. Can you hear it too, or are you standing too far away, too close to her? None of my breaths are deep, I couldn’t truly laugh if I wanted to. Everything’s gotten worse, and it kills me to see you happy. Can’t you see I’m dying as each breath becomes weaker? Of course I’m happy for you, why wouldn’t I be? I feel a spark of happiness each time I see you smile, hear your laugh, or watch that little light come to life. Each spark of happiness feels like my body’s being set on fire. My stomach clenches every time I see you happy because each time it makes me realize that I’m losing a little bit more happiness every second you become a little less sad. And I’m happy you’re getting better, but I’m dying as I watch it and you don’t even notice.

I am a sun. But I'd rather be your sunset. I wanna be the one you're looking forward to see past the afternoon skies. I wanna sink beneath your endless horizon. I wanna be the reason why you sparkle and glimmer like the seas and oceans and every bodies of water in the world as night splatters dusk in the sky. I wanna send out the stars in your night. Funny though, I am a star. And I'd rather be your sunset.

Stop allowing those who do not care about you as much as you do, control your life. They will do nothing but make you a prisoner, when you are so much more. Stop thinking so much about the boy who does nothing but stare at you. A person’s gaze can mean many things, and if he can do nothing but roam your body, then he is not the One. Stop taking everything your mother spits out when she is upset literally. She gets stressed too. Make her a cup of tea, and keep her company when she is alone. Stop pushing away the ones who you have wasted their time listening to your problems. Not everyone is going to listen to you, and keep their mouth shut in front of other people at the same time. So keep those people close, because they are rare. Stop caring what the people think about your music taste or style of clothing. Wear whatever the hell you want, and listen to whatever the hell you want. The people who are worthy enough to be in your life, will not care. Stop overthinking the silly mistake you made during a test or the silly mistake you made while introducing yourself to someone because you were nervous. You cannot reverse time, so there is no point of dwelling on it. Stop limiting yourself to your dislikes and likes. Try the unthinkable, and see every day as a new chance to become reborn.
