following my meme post the other day, and talking to friends further on the subject of fat characters in art, especially in fandom, i figured some people might like a tutorial on how to draw them.

Hey remember when US and Russia was all like “We’re the best!!! We’ve won the space race!!!!” But India sent a kick-ass space probe to Mars and the whole mission was fuel efficient, costed less and a roaring success in the first try and then they were like “…..wait no that can’t be true” and still have the audacity to call us “underdeveloped” or only view us as a ‘third world country’? :)

For anyone who needs more info, the probe was called Mangalyaan (which literally means space probe vehicle) or Mars Orbiter Mission (MOM) and you can also get more information here and here

Only 40 percent of missions sent to Mars by major space organizations—NASA, Russia’s, Japan’s, or China’s—had ever been a success. No space organization had succeeded on its first attempt. there’s a movie adaptation of this! it’s obviously more dramatized/they use different names but i really really loved the movie! it’s called mission mangal and it was the first time i had heard of this and i was so surprised that literally? no one talked about it??? what they accomplished is incredible.

ALSO, Mangalyaan launched in 2013 and was meant to be a 6 month mission. It’s been in orbit around Mars now for more than 5 years and has enough propellant to keep going for even longer.

I have made 30 designs to be told none of them work.

I have spent over $8000 on school supplies

I have learned colour theory

I have measured a 1/4 inch grid by each square

I have double checked every line I draw

I can convert from metric to imperial

I have lost countless hours of sleep

I have worked all week on a project to fail it

Happy PRIDE!

This year I’d like to share with you some of the people that inspired me to accept who I am and love who I want to. From a homophobic household, I learned everything about LGBT through characters in shows, books, and movies as well as celebrities.

This is why we need representation. Somewhere out there is another child, wrestling with self esteem and confusion. Let’s show them that they are not alone; and that their feelings are real, and their identity is valid.

Reasons I love Santana and Brittany:

Santana and brittany are romantically involved throughout the episodes before they date. Their romantic storyline evolves, which is hard to come by in LGBT relationships written for shows.

Santana is forced out of the closet which should never happen to anyone but it opens a big conversation about stereotypes on the show.

Santana calls out the double standards against same sex relationships when it comes to PDA
