I absolutely adore the Project Hail Mary logo but it's so goofy to think that Stratt had the time in her day to sit down with designers to discuss merch ideas. Like yeah, the world might be dying and we're sending people on a space suicide mission but let's make cute hats and shirts for the crew to wear!

Maybe I'm reaching, but Grace's yellow raincoat looks very, very similar to the Hail Mary's yellow uniform. And maybe I'm reaching again, but maybe Grace was always going to end up on the Hail Mary no matter what — he was fated to go on this mission from the beginning.

Not to mention, we only really see him wear this yellow uniform like three times at the start of the movie, and one of those times was when he saw his future self on a beach. This points again to the whole idea of "fate," and that Grace was always meant to go on that ship and meet Rocky.

Grace is definitely the type to jump around his apartment and dance to music by himself. Perhaps also half naked and in his boxers. Like, I can see him doing air guitar to Oasis and Bowie, and Madonna is his guilty pleasure.

I'm watching PHM tonight with the parentals. Hope they like their new son-in-law (Ryland Grace)!

My fav Stratt and Grace moment in PHM the novel so far:

Moments like this makes me wish SOOO BADD that we got to see more of Stratt in the movie!! She's honestly so funny!! The clash between Stratt's dry humor and Grace's dorkiness makes for such a silly dynamic!

Currently jumping back and forth between reading an angsty Ryland Grace fic and the actual Project Hail Mary novel. The tone shift is...jarring.

But I love that phm is first person pov!!!!
