Hi, I am Elise. I'm 18 years old and I live in the U.S. And I decided to make this blog a music blog to post stuff that I wouldn't post on my normal blog. I love many types of music but right now all I listen to is Shinedown. I think they are the most amazing band in the world. Their music is the soundtrack of my life along with Black Veil Brides, Get Scared, Green Day, Sleeping With Sirens, Her Bright Skies and many other amazing bands. I promise to only post the good stuff.

im going to see Skillet live for the first time on Saturday, anything about their concerts that I should know about?

If you’ve never been to a rock concert before, it can be a bit overwhelming but it’s worth it if you love the band you’re there to see. It’s gonna get really crowded and hot but just go with it. You are one small part of a huge family there. You have more in common with the person next to you than you think. You’ve seen each others souls because you share the same passion for the music you are listening to. Everyone there is your family in a way.

I remember seeing Skillet for the first time and I cried during “Yours to Hold” because it’s a really important song to me. The person next to me gave me a pat on the back and a thumbs up. We even hugged! I still don’t know that person’s name but in that moment, he was there for me. There is no judgement in that audience, you are all one family.

Oh, and get ready to rock your face off!! :P

i think sexism in rock music is definitely something that should be addressed but the only genre that ever gets slammed for misogyny is rap I wonder why
