“You did not?” She almost chocked on her drink when he told her that he’d allowed his students to call him daddy. “Where were you when I tried to stay in college?”

“I tried to demonstrate to my students just how hip and cool I am by using an app in class that allows them to ask me questions from their smart devices that then pop up on the screen during the tutorial so if they’re confused about something or want me to repeat something or have any additional questions, I can see it straight away and respond without them having to put their hand up. I thought, you know, might help the shy students and what a great way to use the tech we have available to us.”
“Are you single? Do you like Ariana Grande’s new album? Have you seen Rogue One yet? and Can I call you Daddy? are just some of the intellectually stimulating questions I received. I really shouldn’t have allowed it to be anonymous.”
“Oh, no, no.” Harley began when he told her about the device he’d brought into his classroom. It would have been decent had he not been this attractive. Now she could only imagine the questions she would have asked, much less the one’s these hyperactive and sexual teenagers might be interested in.
“I especially like the daddy one. What was your answer, just out of curiosity.”

With his arm linked with Harley’s the woman pulled him into the party. Tony brightly smiled showing off his pearly whites giving a wink to a few strangers in the crowd as he looked around at the place. “Calm down,” he insisted. “First, take a look at us we are not going to have to buy drinks. Especially you, there are a lot of dudes with money to spend thinking they might get lucky tonight. And that couple was kind of hot; we should have just gone for it. It might have been fun.” He pulled her in closer to his body and smile, “you need to learn to chill. Everything will fall into place. Please tell me you pregame before coming out.”
“Your optimist nature is leaving a bad taste in my mouth.” She told him with a small hint of a smile, not that he could really tell since her hues were travelling the room, looking for someone who appeared to have a lot of money and whom she wouldn’t mind flirting with a little bit in order to get what she wanted. “It may have been until he started talking about foot fetishes and hitting it from the back, then it went all down hill pretty damn quick.” She told him with a wrinkle of her nose, her arms coming to Tony’s neck when he pulled her close. “Just a little bit, but it’s a good thing I’ll start off with you. How about you get us a round of shots?” Her brows wiggled.

“So, here’s the deal,” she told him while she dragged him further into the party. “We have to find someone who will pay for our drinks. Which is going to be a task in itself because I’m not doing the same thing we did last week with that weird couple who thought we were gonna have some kind of orgy.” Her her shook for a moment, groaning out at the thought. “But the moment we spot someone looking at us or the other, we have to go in for the kill. There’s no way I’m going to survive this party without alcohol in my system. It’s life or death at this point.”

He snorted at the woman’s comment before he answered, “Yeah, I’m surprisingly fast for my age.” Clearly amused by his own retort, he shook his head with a chuckle before he moved to the icebox behind him and lifted the lid to pull out a beer. He returned to the bar and picked up a bottle opener to lift off the cap, and he placed the cold beer in front of her. “You don’t have to buy me anything, sweetheart,” he answered, “I own the bar, so you’d be just throwing even more money at me. And then at that point, I’d feel like a stripper, so I’m fine for now. That cigarette probably helped a bit.”
“I was just about to say that,” she said with a teasing smile and a finger extended towards him while she brought the glass up to her lips. “You look good though. That has to be worth something.” Her eyes moved over him before they ventured over the bar that he owned, her perked brow reflecting her curiosity and interest. “I wouldn’t mind throwing more money at you, but you’re going to have to give me a little more than just a simple talk. How about we play it safe and just start by exchanging our names, hm?” The brunette’s hand extended, “I’m Harley.”

Joseph took a long drag of his cigarette as he looked out over the area behind the bar, which was lit only by the light that extended from the wall behind him. He could make out only the silhouette of everything around him, but he could see enough to find the dumpster still full from the day before. “Jesus Christ. When the fuck are those idiots gonna come for that damn dumpster?” he muttered as he exhaled a breath of smoke. Already agitated from the busy night, he shook his head and threw down the butt of the cigarette before he stomped on it and put out the flame. He took in a deep breath, and he brought his hands up to rub his eyes, already feeling the stress began to alleviate as the cigarette settled in. He made his way back inside and came up to the bar, whistling at one of his employees and jabbing his thumb at a table for them to clear. “Go on. Go clean that shit up. I’m back,” he grumbled before he sighed and came up to the patron sitting at the bar. Joseph placed his hands on the counter, nodding to the person as his eyes scanned over his new customer, “What can I get for you?”
Harley had been outside smoking her own cigarette, leaning against the wall while she glanced at the man while he ventured towards the dumpster. Snorting slightly, the brunette flicked her cigarette and crushed it beneath the toe of her boot before turning around and venturing towards the bar. With a seat on the bar, she leaned forward to glance at him. “Oh, you came inside fast.” Her gaze ventured to the male who went towards the table. “Maybe I should be the one to buy you a drink -- seems like you could use more than anyone else. But I’ll have a beer for now.”

“One thing is to casually look into my direction and another is staring,” he stated, looking at the woman sitting across him. “Nothing really interesting, just work. I’ll save you from the boredom of knowing.”
“Come on, it’s not like there’s anything better to listen to.” She told him with a shrug of her shoulders. “But if you don’t want company, then you might as well speak up now.”

He kept looking around to find a Starbucks near the park, but it’s like there were a dozen of coffee shops but from different brands, so he decided to just try other coffee what was the worst it could happen, his new problem came with sizes and names, he was used to asking for the same things all the time and it didn’t seem like there was any pumpkin spice frappuccino there “Man, I really need to get used to asking for normal coffee, Starbucks fucked me up”
“There’s a decent little coffee shop at the end of the road. It’s really simple. They sell three types of coffee. Decaffeinated, Strong and Light. Then you put as much sugar as you want in it.” She told him on a laugh. For herself, she hated Starbucks and if she could stay as far away from it as possible, she would. Mostly because she didn’t understand anything about it and felt like she needed a guide for the drinks.

He had sensed someone’s gaze on him, despite trying to ignore it, he couldn’t focus on his reading. Pausing for a second he finally said something. “You know it’s not polite to stare,” William said, not lifting his gaze from the documents he was reading before letting out a sigh. “So, can I help you with anything?” He asked, this time looking at the person.
“Was I staring?” She paused for a moment to look around. “I don’t think so. Plus, you’re sitting opposite me so It’s kind of awkward if I’m not looking in your general direction, isn’t it?” The brunette laughed and brought the glass to her lips. “So, what are you reading?”

A light chuckle left his lips as he shrugged his shoulders, “your words not mine. There must be some truth in it now or you would not have even mentioned me shirtless.” He deduced by her comment, though he only said it to annoy her. When she stole his drink, he said nothing about it figuring she needed the alcohol more than him.
Suddenly his eyes widen at her admittance to having sex with him. The two always danced around the topic teasing each other, but the bluntness of her statement had him baffled. But with her next remark, he scoffed realizing she was toying with him once more. “Faulty logic,” he responded. “Sex is just sex to me, I don’t get attached.” Somewhat of a lie given his relations with some of the people he frequently was with, but no point of bringing up others in their little back and forth game.
As she was forceful with him, he stayed down and allowed her to take another shot off his abs. Once she was finished he decided it was enough showing off his body for now. “It only seems right,” he smirked as he motioned for the bartender to give them another round. “We keep taking all these shots right away, you are gonna get me drunk.”
“Don’t get too cocky now, Tony. You know I can tear that shit down pretty damn quick.” She said with a little smirk as she watched him with interest, mostly curious to see what he would do or say. With a bit of her lower lip, the brunette glanced around and awaited the next round of shots that they’d ordered so they could continue doing more body shots after she got done with him.
She laughed when he didn’t do anything about the admission she made. She’d expected him to go out of his way and admit to wanting to have sex with her, but no. Well, partly. Given that he was trying to make her understand that he wasn’t so different than she. “So, you’re saying that you would have sex with me or you wouldn’t have sex with me?” It was the question she wanted to know, though she actually did given all the playful banter they always were going on about. But Harley always liked to hear it slip past his lips, if only so she could tease him about it afterwards.
When the shot taken taken with the new round of drinks, she allowed one to stay on the bar for him to take, whether he chose to do it off her body or simply take it from where he laid down. “Maybe that’s exactly where I want you -- haven’t you ever thought of that? You are also a lot more fun when you’re drunk. Then again, so am I.”

“You also said you’re usually not so kind which implied to me that this isn’t something you’re used to doing. If you’re asking just for the sake of asking to be polite or nice when you would really rather not, I’d rather not impose,” she explained.
“If you were bothering me, I would have definitely told you. I said that -----” She paused and shook her head, deciding to actually not waste her time explaining all of this. “Never mind, let’s just go get a drink and ignore all of this.”

There was something off by her demeanor when he responded to their little back and forth, but being who he was he decided to ignore it. He figured it was nothing of great importance just a small concession on her end and pointing it out would not doing any good. “I am annoying? Not sure how you got that. Are you sure you are thinking clearly?” When she took another drink, he looked at her confused when she avoiding his body.
Despite her not taking the second shot off his body, he decided to dismiss the behavior and continue their fun. “Do not objectify me,” he smirked as he got up from the bar. Hearing her next words, Tony chuckled. “You only say that because you want to use my body.”
The placed was filled with mostly middle aged women, one of his favorite demographics when it came to free drinks and an easy lay. When Harley responded he looked over at her, “you know saying I am not going to do something only makes me want to do it more.” Anyone associated with Tony knew he enjoyed doing the opposite of what people told him to do. “But since I see no one that tickles my fancy, I guess you are stuck with me all evening. Lucky you.”
Harley was all over the place tonight, perhaps it being the alcohol -- that she was off her game or just the mere lack of attention because they were in a bar that catered more to him than it did her. Nonetheless, she scrunched up her nose at him. “I don’t know, are you going to assume that I’m not thinking clearly because you’re standing shirtless in front of me?” Harley snorted before she took the shot that was supposed to be his and slowly placed it upon his navel. Salt was moved to the base of his neck and the lemon upon his lips once more.
“That’s actually not that wrong. You’re attractive and I would have sex with you.” The brunette said in a surprising burst of truth. Though her finger was quick to point down to him as if to tell him not to get too excited given that she wasn’t done. “But you’d get way too attached to me.”
“Joy,” she teasingly told him before she pushed him back down so he could be quiet now that she went down and took a shot off of his body. The shot first, the salt second and the lime third. “Since you’re going to be so kind as to keep me company tonight, I’m guessing it’s only fair that I let you have a body shot off of me, right?”

“Oh?” Keiko frowned, not sure if that was a hint that the other woman would rather be left alone and the invitation to drinks was just a curtesy. “I apologize if I have been intruding. I don’t mean to take up your time.”
“I’m confused,” she paused. “Didn’t I just invite you out for drinks?” She didn’t know why the other believed that she was intruding when Harley had gone out of her way to be nice to her.

“What do you mean what happened to me?” Tony asked titling his head back as she placed her hands on his face. “What?” With her reaction, he now was somewhat nervous as to what she was referring to as he gave her a baffled look. That was until her next set of words and he rolled his eyes. “Maybe, we are too alike. Neither of us are the jealous type.” He tapped the tip of her nose, “also don’t lie. You could never forget me. And I probably would already be off with some chick.”
Lying on the bar, he could feel the stickiness where some drinks have been spilled and hardly cleaned. But he ignored it figuring his own apartment was worse. As everything was situation, his eyes glanced down towards her as she took the shot. Despite the lime wedge in his mouth, his lips managed to curl into a smirk as she made her way up his chest and then finally the lime where their lips met. “The lime or my lips?” He asked.
Tony slid off the bar carefully and placed his shirt back on as he cocked an eyebrow. “You want me to help you find someone to bone?” Glancing around the area, he shook his head displeased with the crowd. “Not sure if you realize, but we came to a cougar bar for a reason to get me free drinks. Unless you plan on taking an older lady home?” He asked with a devilish smirk as he looked over to her to see her reaction.
Harley rolled her eyes when he tapped her nose and told her that they were probably more alike than she wanted to believe. In truth, Harley just wanted to know that she was the only exception and that he would get jealous if she decide to go off with another guy. Just so her pride could swell and she could use that knowledge to her advantage whenever she would need it. “You’re annoying,” The brunette scoffed as she demanded another round and took the shot right into her mouth instead of placing it on his body.
She grinned down at him and looked him over. “Salt, lime, your abs.” The brunette winked before she stepped back to leave him some place to get up. Though she didn’t mind him keeping his shirt off given how good he looked --- again not something she would be too quick to admit too. “Maybe you should stay like that. I think you look better on your back.” Her brows wiggled at him as she waved the bartender over, asking for more lime this time.
She’d been a little too focused on Tony to realize where they were. The brunette slowly turned and glanced at the women that surrounded them. Normally, she wouldn’t mind going after a woman, but given that they were all looking past her towards Tony made her not even want to attempt it. They probably all wanted younger males to pleasure them tonight. “I forgot, god damnit. --- You’re not leaving me to hook up with one of these ladies.”

“That’s true, but we can pick and choose what aspects of life we’d prefer to have forced upon is in some cases,” she shrugged. “Thank you for your concern though. I know you didn’t have to offer to help me find or give me a job.”
“I’m also not usually this kind.” She shook her head as she began to search for her pack of cigarette. Maybe she was losing her damn edge. “Maybe let’s go get a drink. I think it would do us both wonders.”

“If people consider any part of their work as being forced to do something, then perhaps they have no place in that line of work to begin with,” she replied. “As for me, I do not think I’m qualified to fix cars though being dirty is not an issue for me.”
“I agree but sometimes you have to do what you have to do. That’s what life is all about, isn’t it?” Her eyes moved over the other before she nodded. “Well, that’s as far as I can help.”
