CMC week 11 performance

In Week 11, Christian McCaffrey was a dominant force as the San Francisco 49ers rolled to a 41–22 win over the Arizona Cardinals. He carried the ball 13 times for 81 rushing yards (6.2 yards per carry) and added 5 receptions for 40 receiving yards. McCaffrey also scored three touchdowns — two on the ground and one through the air anchoring the offense and helping the 49ers build a comfortable lead.

Beyond just numbers, he was the engine of San Francisco’s offense: PFF gave him an 87.1 overall offensive grade, the second highest on the team that day. His performance showcased why he remains one of the most versatile and dangerous running backs in the league equally effective running, catching, and finishing drives with touchdowns. That all-around impact helped the 49ers stay in control throughout the game and reinforced his status as a true WR-RB hybrid in today’s NFL.

Week 10 performance vs the Los Angeles Rams

In Week 10, for the San Francisco 49ers’ matchup against the Los Angeles Rams, Christian McCaffrey’s game was more about consistency than explosiveness. He carried the ball 12 times but only managed to gain 30 rushing yards, averaging just 2.5 yards per carry. The ground game proved difficult for him, as he didn’t break free for any big runs and failed to find the end zone. However, McCaffrey still made a meaningful impact in the passing game. He was targeted 10 times, caught 8 of those passes, and racked up 66 receiving yards. According to PFF, nearly all of his receiving yards came after the catch showing he made the most of his opportunities despite being heavily met at the line of scrimmage. His receiving prowess remains a key part of his value, even when his rushing lanes are limited.

That said, his inability to break big runs or punch in a touchdown limited his impact in a game the 49ers lost 42–26. The running game as a whole underperformed, and McCaffrey’s modest rushing total underscored San Francisco’s struggles to establish dominance on the ground. Overall, McCaffrey’s Week 10 effort was solid but unspectacular — efficient in the passing game but somewhat stifled in the run game. His versatility still shone through, but he couldn’t tilt the game in the 49ers’ favor.

CMC's week 9 performance vs the New York Giants

The 49ers come up with a win against the New York Giants on Sunday. Traveling to New York from the Bay Area is a long flight but that didn't stop the 49ers from anything. They won against the Giants 34-24, and the 49ers needed this win to get them ready for the Los Angelas Rams. With all of that being said Christian McCaffrey had a great game and he is finally getting hot again after being stopped for just 68 all-purpose yards (APY). McCaffrey had the most carries he has had this year so far with 28 carries with 106 rushing yards. McCaffrey is breaking a record every game it feels like. McCaffrey has 16 career games putting up at least 1 rushing touchdown and one receiving touchdown which is the most in NFL history. Coming up the 49ers have a tough game against the Los Angeles Rams it should be a good game and let's see what CMC can do against their Defense.

CMC's week 8 performance against the Houston Texans

In Week 8 against the Houston Texans, San Francisco 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey had one of his toughest games of the season. The Texans’ defense, led by coach DeMeco Ryans, focused on shutting down McCaffrey by stacking the box and forcing the 49ers to rely more on their passing game. McCaffrey finished with only 68 total yards from scrimmage 25 rushing yards on 8 carries and 43 receiving yards on 3 catches. This marked the first time all season that he was held under 100 total yards, a rare feat for a player known for his consistency and versatility.

Houston’s defensive line dominated the trenches, preventing McCaffrey from finding open running lanes, while linebackers quickly closed in on him during screen passes. Despite his limited production, McCaffrey still contributed valuable touches that kept the 49ers’ offense balanced and helped set up play-action opportunities. However, the Texans’ disciplined tackling and physical style neutralized his usual explosiveness. McCaffrey’s Week 8 performance highlighted just how critical he is to the 49ers’ offense—and how a strong, well-coordinated defense can contain even one of the NFL’s most dynamic playmakers. It was a rare quiet outing for McCaffrey in an otherwise stellar season.

CMC's week 7 performance vs the Atlanta Falcons

In week 7 vs the Atlanta Falcons the 49ers came out with a bang and won 20-10 against the Falcons. Christian McCaffrey had an outstanding performance and his best yet this season. On the ground McCaffrey had 24 carriers for 129 yards with his longest rush being 15 yards and ran for 2 rushing touchdowns the most he has scored in 1 game since last season. Through the air McCaffrey had 7 receptions for 72 yards with his longest reception with 17 yards. With all of the yards McCaffrey put up in week 7 overall his all-purpose yards for this game were 201 yards which is the most he has put up as a 49er. But the last time he did that he had 211 all-purpose yards when he was on the Carolina Panthers and that was against the Jacksonville Jaguars. With that being said McCaffrey was also week 7's NFC player of the week. McCaffrey is continuing to be the work horse for the offense with most of the offense being down due to injury, so the 49ers are depending on him to keep putting solid numbers and to continue to keep the 49ers playoff hopes alive.

CMC's week 6 performance vs the Tampa Bay Buckners

In Week 6, McCaffrey was one of the few bright spots for the 49ers in a 30–19 loss. He carried the ball 17 times for 54 rushing yards and scored his first rushing touchdown of the season. He also caught 7 passes for 57 yards, giving him 111 total yards from scrimmage. That effort extended his streak of games with at least 100 scrimmage yards to six. The Buccaneers’ defense tried to limit his effectiveness, especially in yards after the catch, by “bracketing” him, forcing him to beat defenders on the edges rather than letting him break free. While he did have 42 yards after catch, many of those came late in the game on a third-and-29 situation when Tampa Bay’s defense was playing more conservatively. McCaffrey averaged about 4.6 yards per touch, which was lower than his season average.

Despite the loss and overall team struggles, McCaffrey stood out as productive and versatile, contributing both on the ground and through the air. He also made NFL history: by recording 50+ receiving yards, he became the first running back to do so in each of the first six games of a season. Also to finish up with this post Christian McCaffrey is the first running back to have 50 plus receiving yards in the first 6 games of the season. McCaffrey is truly one of the best running backs to play in the NFL.

CMC news and 49ers news before this week's game vs the Bucs

Christian McCaffrey performance has been slow but he's been producing no matter what. McCaffrey has had 91 rushes for 282 rushing yards hasn't scored a rushing touchdown yet but I'm sure he will get one this week! He has one fumble tallied up but that hasn't stopped him from pounding the ball on the ground. With all of that he has averaged 3.2 yards a carry with his longest run of 15 yards. Receiving McCaffrey has been best for the 49ers this year. He has 39 receptions for 387 yards. With an average of 10.2 yards a reception and has 3 receiving touchdowns through the air. Now for the players injured for this game to take note of. Brock Purdy is out due to turf toe and should be good to go after the Bucs game. Ricky Pearsall is out due to a knee injury. George Kittle is out due to a hamstring injury. Nick Bosa had surgery to his ACL, and it was successful, and Brandon Aiyuk is under PUP.

CMC's week 4 and 5 performance this year

In Week 4 vs the Jacksonville Jaguars the 49ers unfortunately got their first loss of the season. It was an unfortunate loss due to a tough performance without are starting three receiving core and without some of the key players on Defense. The performance by McCaffrey was alright on the ground with 17 rushes but only for 49 yards. It was a rough day for McCaffrey on the ground vs the Jaguars. Through the air is where he did his best and as well through the whole season, he has been a major threat in the passing game. Through the air McCaffrey had 6 receptions for 92 yards. But McCaffrey did have 1 fumble during the game. Also, he had a receiving touchdown in the game.

In week 5 it was the closest game for the 49ers this season and most exciting to watch. Christian McCaffrey continued to be dangerous through the air. He is also still looking to get his first rushing touchdown. It has been rough for McCaffrey to get hot on the run game like the pervious years with the 49ers. On the ground he rushed for 22 times for 57 yards McCaffrey has had a hard time to get going on the ground, but it is still early in the season and a long season to go to get him going. Through the air he had 8 receptions for 82 yards. McCaffrey had another receiving touchdown as well. McCaffrey has been the work horse for this this 49er offense this year running and catching the ball. McCaffrey is going to continue to carry the offense and look for his first rushing touchdown of the season.

CMC's Week 3 performance this year

In Week 3 of the NFL season the San Francisco 49ers are undefeated at 3-0 with a hard-fought win against the Arizona Cardinals. Christian McCaffrey is still looking to score a rushing touchdown since last season. On the ground he had 17 carries with 52 yards which is the lowest number of rushing yards he has had so far this year. Through the air he had 10 receptions for 88 yards which is the most he has had all season. He has been a threat on the ground but even a bigger threat through the air this year. Also, with 3 games in he hasn't fumbled the ball this year which is good. McCaffrey is expected to have a good game this week against the Jacksonville Jaguars and is ready to get his first rushing touchdown of the year.

CMC's last two games from this season so far

49ers star running back Christian McCaffrey went into Week 1 like he was never hurt. In his first game in this year's season vs the Seattle Seahawks. McCaffrey continues to show why he is the workhorse for the 49ers on offense. McCaffrey put up 142 all-purpose yards with 69 rushing yards on 22 carries on the ground. Through the air he had 9 receptions for 73 yards. Overall, in Week 1 McCaffrey had a great start in his first game back from his Achillis tendinitis injury. He continues to get the treatment he needs to stay healthy for a long 18 Week season.

In Week 2 McCaffrey showed again why he's one of the rushing and receiving backs in the NFL. With his performance in last Saturday's game against the New Orleans Saints, Mcaffrey had 107 all-purpose yards. On the ground he rushed for 55 yards on 13 rushing attempts. Through the air he caught 6 passes for 52 yards. He got his first touchdown in the slot running a corner route. With his performance he is the 3rd running back of all time in a career with 50 touchdowns rushing and 30 receiving touchdowns. As he prepares for Week 3 against the Arizona Cardinals, he is looking to have another great game.
