emma looked at it. “i’ve heard of the tattoo thing. my uncle has one. he says it keeps our demons,” she commented. a smile tugged at her lips. “nope,” she said playfully. she tilted her head seeing the light dust of red across his cheeks. she reached up to touch the skin with a small smile. “you’re welcome.”

“oh, thats cool. so does my brother.” at least he was pretty sure, it had been a while since he’s seen been. too long. he hesiated, but still, he had to ask. “have you ever gone to the movies? Even if you have... would you want to again? With me?”

emma gave him a small smile. “i’ve been told this,” she replied. she gave him a sweet expression as he took her hand again. “that’s all i had known,” she admitted, offering her wrist to him. “they did that.” she sighed softly. she tilted her head with a knowing look. “i don’t believe you. i believe you’re a very sweet person and i like that you are.”

the look of the sigil pained him, it looked like it hurt. “maybe... maybe you could get it surgically removed---or a tattoo to cover it up.. or maybe a nice bracelet.” he suggested. he chuckled. “you don’t believe me? im wounded.” his cheeks lit up with a blush. “i--um, thank you.”

she gave him a small smile. “i didn’t want to. but the amazons are very unforgiving. i was conflicted. i didn’t think he wanted me so the amazons were the only family i had. all i’ve ever wanted was a family,” she replied softly. “you’re very kind.”

“well no offense but these amazons kinda sound like dicks.” he said matter of factually. “hey...” he dind’t know what to say, so he took her hand. “if they hurt you or make you do something you don’t want to they’re no family to you.” he chuckled. “i’m usually not. seriously im like a horrible person.” he joked.

emma smiled brightly at him and nodded. “that’s sounds great! i’d really like that,” she told him sweetly. her smile fell slightly and she shrugged. “i had a knife. it was my fault,” she said softly, watching as he took her hand and squeezed it. she gave him a small smile, squeezing his hand back. “thank you,” she breathed.

“no, it wasn’t. i mean... did you slash at him--were you intending to slash at him?” saying it weans’t her fault was automatic, cause for all her knew it could of been. “you’re welcome.” he said softly.
