The #Anonymous hacking operation #OpIsrael has had a negative impact on the country's stock market, says hacker @Crypt0nymous. Frankly, such a conclusion (about the economic impact) needs much more time to properly evidence, but there's no doubt that the hackers are winning the media war, despite Israelis' best attempts to fight back. It's a very interesting development in the Israel-Palestine conflict (so-called). Why? Because normally Israel's narrative lives on hyping-up every threat posed to it. In this case it won't want to hype-up for it'd be a PR disaster because people would freshly question why Israel's being attacked and see that it's not Palestinian hackers who are behind most of the attacks (apparently). The reality (and image) that Israel is being targeted by an angry collective from the region (or from the world, indeed) — rather than by angry Palestinians 'as usual' — is not an image (or narrative) that Israel will want to be widely consumed.

Breaking: Gaza under attack, Israel has bombed 'at least one target in the Gaza strip in the last few moments'
Preach it, Harry Fear
Harry Fear joins first fully-fledged convoy to Gaza which 'invites media workers and activists to join them on this July 2013 working visit to Palestine'
Convoy members will comprise of journalists, photographers, filmmakers, media students, activists and mental health professionals — from diverse backgrounds, all of them are people of conscience, deeply passionate about the Palestinian cause. One of the main goals of the convoy will be to produce English language media content to help amplify the Palestinan narrative to audiences in the most complicit Israel-supporting Western states from where most of the convoy members originate.

Harry Fear and Jewish/American academic Dr Norman Finkelstein.
Both united in their cause to support Palestinian human rights

"Inform, move and inspire people to care; that's was the objective"
The Palestinian people are not broken. The Palestinian people are resilient, they are steadfast, they want and need their freedom back. Universally speaking, when you go to, for example, Gaza, everyone is extremely friendly, extremely hospitable, open minded, open hearted, very loving to exchanges. This is the essence of what humanity is about.

Harry Fear on the Gaza/Israel Conflict & Journalism
Friends in the UK, I'm aiming to watch this tonight; perhaps you will be too? “A special BBC Panorama programme tonight will reveal how British and US intelligence agencies were informed by top sources months before the invasion that Iraq had no active WMD programme, and that the information was not passed to subsequent inquiries.” [BBC 1 — 10:30pm GMT]: http://worldobserveronline.com/2013/03/18/mi6-cia-told-invasion-iraq-active-wmd/ It's quite unbelievable that such an important programme— they put on at 10:30pm. I mean this should be at 9pm before the news (with prominence, is my point). Instead the juvenile, bland and banal will feature. EastEnders, University Challenge, and to hit it off: Motorway Cops! These are the titles which will feature. This is the 100,000th reason I'd never consider working for the BBC. How can such a virally-consumed organisation be cured from within?!

Harry Fear visits SPHR Western U
Last night I got to sit in on a talk given by Harry Fear. For people who don’t know him he is a British journalist who was in Gaza during the recent 8 day war.
Listening to him speak - he was an absolute inspiration. He didn’t just report on the recent attacks that took place on the Palestinian people, he also gave perspective to it as well. Harry Fear has actually lived in Gaza. Some of his best friends are the people of Palestine that live in refugee camps in Gza. He doesn’t just report, he gives insight to the events. He does something most reporters refuse to do. He humanizes Palestinians.
So for anyone who does not know of him look him up! He may be young but he’s bringing on a change that Palestinians need.
I might not have stressed this enough in my Reports and talks, though it’s hard to properly convey: Gaza and its people generally represent the most humane experience of human behaviour I have ever known or can imagine of. It is my honour and unique jewel to have experienced the Gazan humanity and to be continuously welcomed back into its fold. Thank you to all my amazing Gazan friends with whom I have shared precious moments of brotherhood/sisterhood and purity of heart. Peace and blessings to all. - Harry Fear
The “Jews Say No” movement held a protest in Upper Manhattan expressing their opposition to the recent air attacks by Israel on the Gaza strip. They stood silently, holding posters and placards which voiced their concerns. New York, USA, 22nd August, 2011. (Demotix Images)
