Both of them had been working so late and so much lately that Ginny had to ponder when it was they had actually spent some time together. When was the last time that Ginny wasn’t wrapped up in the Daily Prophet or her underground secret project? When was the last time that Harry wasn’t off on some mission or hunting down some information that was needed for a case? She had no idea when they both had a spare minute to themselves and she was getting fed up with it. She was determined to track her husband down and see him for a few minutes of the day. Merlin she missed the lazy days they had curled up on the couch or the random mornings where she refused to let him leave their bed because she was being purely selfish in wanting to have him all to herself. She missed the cute moments that they had, with everything taking a turn in the wix community Ginny wondered if they’d ever get back to those moments or if this was simply the new way of life.
Sitting in her office at the Potter home she looked down at the three letters she had perfectly written out, one for each of their children still in school. Smiling softly she placed a kiss on each one of them before she headed towards her favorite and personal owl Octavia. Giving the feathered creature a scratch to the neck she held out a treat for her. “Come on my sweet, can you take these to Hogwarts for the morning please? I’m sure the kids would love to have them to read at breakfast.” Ginny commented softly as she tied the letters to the owl. With one final scratch she opened the window and watched as the majestic creature became a speck in the distance.
Leaving her office she wondered if Harry was home yet or if he was out somewhere doing whatever it was he did late at night. Pursing her lips she changed herself into more comfortable clothing, something to lounge in. Making her way to the common area she curled herself up onto the couch, her latest muggle romance novel in her lap, in front of the fire. If Harry wondered where she was then he could come find her, she wasn’t going to be one to intrude on him if he was busy with something for work.

Harry could admit that, at this point, he was starting to feel guilty about all of his sneaking around. When he first started, he'd been going out on nights when work hadn't been kicking his ass, so it all balanced out quite nicely. Now that he was getting buried under his workload in the office -- especially with this dragon pox mess that Teddy was determined to research --, walking around as Dudley/Algernon hadn't been so easy anymore.
Still, as he muttered the spell under his breath to wear off the polyjuice potion, he tried to push these thoughts away from the forefront of his mind. He was doing what was best for all of them, he was working for the greater good. Sure, he felt guilty hiding things from his wife, but he'd tell her once he'd reached his goal and he was out of trouble, otherwise it'd worry her too much. This wasn't a big deal, he told himself. It didn't have to be an issue.
He shrugged off his coat to hang by their door as he entered, making sure to retrieve the chocolate frog from its pocket before he made his way inside. "Evening! Sorry, sorry, I'm late again," he called, toeing his shoes off on his way to the couch she was lounging on. Their house was so eerily quiet nowadays, without any kids around, he didn't think he'd ever get used to it. He gave Ginny a kiss on the temple before settling by her side, pulling her feet onto his lap so they could be unnecessarily close. He knew she would send them all letters today, and he promised not to butt in, only because every time he did, he could practically hear the kids groaning and rolling their eyes at his usual questionnaire. Ginny was the Cool Parent out of the two, no doubt. "Tough day. Did you send the letters?" He handed her the delicate box with the chocolate frog he'd gotten on his way out of work and smiled apologetically. "Got it so we could split. Unless you're very upset I'm home late again, in which case, it's all yours."
