Y/N has been working her nerves up to leave her car for about ten minutes now. All she has to do is go into the cafe, order her coffee, and get a muffin. Which sounds like an easy task. But it's not. A few weeks ago, they hired a new baker at the cafe she's been going to for the past year. And of course, he can't be some regular guy; he has to be drop-dead gorgeous and have the voice of a prince. And yes, she must over dramatize this because look at him. But after waiting in the car for a few more minutes, she eventually gets over herself and goes inside.
The familiar smell of coffee, and baked goods filled her nose. She could honestly live here and never get tired of the smell. She thinks that if they sold candles, she would be their #1 customer.
When the bell dings, signifying her entrance, she sees a familiar mop of curls, turning his head looking at her. She wants to run her hands through his hair. It is obvious he takes care of it, and to her, that's very attractive. She means nowadays some men slap on 5 in 1 soap and call it a night. Which she doesn't understand because don't they want to feel clean? But Harry just looks clean, and she got a whiff of him last week, and he smells really nice too.
"Sunny! Good morning, how are you", his voice is cheery, it always is, and maybe she is slightly delusional, but he seems a little extra happy when she comes in. Or she hasn't heard him call any other customers on a first name basis, and she's seen other regulars come in. She hopes it's just her because she can be a smidge of a jealous person, and if she saw him call another customer by name and welcomed them the way he welcomes her, she would be, very irrationally, upset.
"I'm good, about to head to work, so the usual. How are you?" She tries to sound casual but is most definitely failing. In her defense, he is very cute, and it's hard to stay focused when he's looking at her like he cares about every word she's saying, even though it's the same thing she says to him every time she comes. He's very attentive, maintaining eye contact, noticing things she says or things she might wear, and bringing them up at later times. If she could she would swallow him whole, just to always keep him with her.
"I'm glad to hear that; I've been good myself." " he responds already working on my drink. He has memorized her order from how often she comes. Which again, maybe it's delusion, but he's a baker; she doesn't see him making anyone else's drinks. And, yes, it's quite possible that she just hasn't seen him do it to others, since she's not in the cafe 24/7, but she has seen plenty of people come in, and he has never served them. And on top of that to memorize her drink, it can't be a coincidence. "What treat will you be having today? I did make a new orange cranberry muffin if you'd like to try that."
"Oh yeah, that sounds good," she says, acting like she isn't eager to eat whatever he makes.
A few minutes later, her order is ready, "Alright, here you go", he says handing her her muffin and coffee. "I hope you enjoy it sunny!"
"Oh, you didn't charge me for the muffin" " she tries to tell him, but he just shakes his head.
"It's on me, it's a new item, so you can be the tester and tell me how you like it tomorrow", She doesn't work tomorrow, and she doesn't typically come to the cafe when she doesn't work, but she'll come in anyway. Just to give him a review, not because she wants to see him. Totally not because she wants to see him.
"Thank you, Harry, you're very sweet, but you didn't have to do that. I'll give you a full and detailed review tomorrow. She can't help but let the warm feeling spread as she speaks to him. It sounds dumb because they haven't interacted outside of the cafe nor communicated for more than 10 minutes, but she can't help it. She seriously wants to shrink him down and put him in her pocket. She should probably do some research on cuteness aggression, just to make sure she isn't actually going crazy.
They say their goodbyes, and she makes her way to work. A part of her feels stupid for letting herself grow feelings for him. He's just being nice; it's a part of his job. She's sure he has other regulars he's like this with. But just letting her feel, makes her heart hurt a little less.
~~~
As promised, she finds herself walking through the cafe doors the next day, ready with her review. The muffin was delicious, of course it was, Harry made it. She would eat a burnt chocolate chip if he were the one who burned it.
"Morning Sunny", he says extra perky, "I'm expecting a full and detailed review." He has a huge smile plastered on his face as he speaks; that makes her heart flutter. It's crazy that something as small as a smile has her whole emotional system rebooting.
"Good morning, Harry." Her voice came out soft. "The muffin was amazing" " she starts,
"The flavors went nicely together, and the cranberries weren't bitter or sour. It might be one of my new favorites." And she's not lying; this is probably her new favorite. He genuinely is an amazing baker, but she did want to gas him up a bit too.
"Seriously?", he asks and she nods as he continues, "That actually makes me really happy. It was my first time making this flavor altogether; his eyes sparkled a little more as he thanked her. It makes her heart warm knowing something as little as a compliment makes him that happy. (And he's already preparing her drink)
"I'll take it for here today" " she normally doesn't sit down and have her coffee, but since she has a free day, she decides to plus maybe she'll be able to talk to him a little longer and get to know him better.
He nods, as he puts her drink in one of the mugs. "You don't work today?", he asks casually.
"No, I have the day off, they're doing maintenance in the building." She responds.
"That's nice" he pauses, like he's in thought, "Mind if I join you?" He asks slightly nervously. And she has to act like she isn't slightly freaking out.
"No, of course not!", he smiles as he pours himself a coffee as well, bringing two muffins and both drinks to a table. They sit across from each other. She decides to be bold and slide in the fact that she's never seen him make drinks for anything else. "So how much do they have you doing here, you're a barista and a baker?" She tries to sound casual but is probably severely failing.
"Oh, um, not actually. I'm only a baker", his cheeks turn bright red, knowing he's been caught. But she doesn't comment on it, just smiles at him. She knows he's probably a little embarrassed and as much as she wants to, she doesn't push.
They continue to chat about other things. Like their hobbies, interests, and pets, and find out they both have a cat. Harry has a black, fluffy cat named Midnight (which she thought was a little basic as a name, and she has a calico named Vincent. (Harry thought it was weird to name him a human name, but for one most calicoes are girls, so people need to know he's a boy, and two he's a distinguished gentleman, therefore a proper name)
Once their mugs were empty, and the muffins were eaten, Y/N speaks, pushing her nerves aside.
"Harry?" She speaks up, looking at him. She's painfully reminded of how good he looks.
He is so handsome it hurts, but if she thinks about that too much, she won't get what she has to say out.
He looks at her intently, "Yeah?"
"Will you go on a date with me?" She asks. She decided there's a reason he is doing the things he is, so she's going to take a chance. The worst thing that happens is she finds a new cafe to go to and forgets about his existence and this moment. And maybe that's a little dramatic, but she can't handle the embarrassment. She can't even handle second-hand embarrassment, let alone firsthand. But at the same time, she really wants this
"Dammit, I wanted to ask you first", he said but had a goofy smile on his face as he softly shook his head in disbelief, "But yes, I. Will go out with you.
Y/N was a set designer in New York, fortunate enough to land a job as an associate designer on Saturday Night Live.
The job was fast, chaotic, and constantly changing—but she loved it.
Unfortunately, on this particular day, everything seemed to be going wrong.
The production team had been scrambling all morning because they still hadn’t found the exact type of chair the director wanted for one of the sketches. Every prop runner had already been sent out across the city hunting for furniture, fabrics, or last-minute set pieces.
Then somehow—miraculously—you found one.
A chair tucked away in a small prop warehouse downtown. When you sent the photo to your boss, they immediately forwarded it up the chain.
Your boss’s boss responded within seconds.
That’s the one.
Since every runner was already out, you offered to pick it up yourself.
Now you were hauling the chair into the building, slightly out of breath, and pressing the elevator button for your floor.
The doors began to close when you suddenly heard someone from down the hallway.
“Hold the door!” You quickly pressed the open button.
A tall stranger slipped inside just before the doors shut.
“Thank you,” he said politely, slightly winded as he stepped in.
“No problem,” you replied.
He pressed the button for the fifth floor—the rehearsal floor.
You didn’t think much of it.
Your hands were busy inspecting the chair’s upholstery, brushing your fingers over the fabric as you wondered if it needed a quick cleaning before presenting it to your boss.
Maybe a lint roller would do. Maybe some steam. You were already mentally running through solutions.
The elevator hummed upward.
Then— It stopped.
Abruptly.
Both you and the stranger looked up at the same time.
The overhead lights flickered before dimming into the faint red glow of the emergency light.
You stared at the ceiling. “...Fuck. Seriously? Out of all the days.”
You stepped forward quickly and pressed the emergency call button.
Nothing.
You pressed it again.
Still nothing.
Your eyes drifted to the maintenance chart posted on the wall.
Last inspection: last month. Next scheduled inspection: tomorrow.
You let out a slow, disbelieving breath.
“I’ll try calling someone,” the stranger offered, already pulling out his phone.
A second later, he frowned.
“Damn. No signal.”
“Seriously?”
You pulled your own phone out and checked.
Nothing. Of course.
You groaned quietly before leaning back against the wall.
“Well… good thing I update my boss constantly,” you said, exhaling.
“I messaged them right before I got into the elevator.”
You took a steadying breath and lowered yourself onto the very chair that had gotten you into this mess in the first place. The irony was not lost on you. Then you looked up at the stranger.
“Oh—sorry,” you said quickly, shifting a little. “Do you want to sit?”
You gestured toward the other side of the chair.
As you looked up, you nearly jumped out of your seat.
Standing right in front of you was Harry Styles.
Not a poster. Not a screen.
The actual man.
Your brain short-circuited. “God—sorry!” you blurted out immediately, cheeks flushing from embarrassment as you realized you had just offered Harry Styles half of a random chair in a broken elevator.
He waved it off casually.
“It’s fine,” he said, glancing down at the chair before tilting his head.
“So…where did you get this piece of shit?”
Your eyes widened. “Excuse me? Piece of shit?”
You sat up straighter, immediately offended. “This very chair is solely the reason I have a job right now.”
Harry blinked, then raised both hands in surrender. “Sorry,” he said, a small snicker escaping him. “Touchy subject.”
You crossed your arms dramatically. “The director was set on a very specific chair for one of the skits tonight,” you explained.
“And somehow I’m the idiot who managed to find it.”
You gestured vaguely around the elevator. “So here I am. Sitting in a death-metal box that might kill us both.”
Harry let out a quiet laugh, leaning back against the elevator wall.
“Well,” he said, glancing at the chair again, “if this is the chair that saves the show, I suppose it deserves a little respect.”
You huffed. “Thank you.”
A beat passed.
The elevator remained completely still.
Harry checked his phone again, even though both of you already knew the result.
Still no signal.
He sighed. “So,” he said, looking back at you with a crooked smile, “how long do elevators usually take to un-trap people?”
You shrugged. “I don’t know. This is my first time being potentially buried alive in a prop department disaster.”
He laughed again. “Comforting.”
You glanced back down at the chair, running your fingers along the armrest.
“Honestly,” you muttered, “if we die here, at least I can say I died employed.”
Harry tilted his head. “That’s a very New York way to look at things.”
You looked up at him. “Wait… are you here for rehearsal?”
He nodded toward the fifth-floor button. “Yeah. Musical guest and host this week.”
You blinked.
“Oh.”
A pause.
“…Right.” You rubbed your face.
“Great. So not only am I stuck in an elevator, but I’m also the reason the guest star is missing rehearsal.”
Harry laughed, shaking his head.
“I don’t think you broke the elevator.”
“Still feels like my fault.”
“Well,” he said, nodding toward the chair again, “if this thing’s the star of a sketch this weekend, we should probably protect it.”
You looked down at it. Then back at him.
“Are you suggesting we guard the chair?”
“I’m saying,” he replied with a grin, “if the show gets cancelled because the chair didn’t make it… You might actually lose that job.”
You gasped dramatically. “Oh, my god.”
Then you leaned forward, gripping the armrests like a bodyguard.
“You’re right.” Harry burst out laughing.
“You work in the…?” he asked, gesturing vaguely toward the chair and the tools sticking out of your bag.
“Set design department,” you answered.
Harry nodded slowly.
“And you’re doing double duty this week,” you added with a small smile.
“Congratulations.”
“For what?” he asked, amused. “You know—hosting and performing.” You gestured toward him.
“That’s… a lot.” He rubbed the back of his neck.
“Thank you,” he said. “A little nerve-wracking, but fun.”
You tilted your head. “That’s exactly why I like design more than acting,” you admitted. “I have massive stage fright.”
Harry chuckled. “You get used to it.”
“Well,” you replied, raising an eyebrow, “you’ve been doing it for almost two decades.” He laughed quietly at that, leaning his shoulder against the elevator wall.
The silence returned for a moment as the elevator remained stubbornly still. Then Harry glanced back down at the chair.
“So,” he said, nudging one of its legs lightly with his shoe, “what scene does this chair go in?”
You shrugged. “I actually don’t know.”
He looked surprised. “You don’t?”
“Nope.”
You leaned back slightly, tapping the armrest.
“I worked on the other three skits you’re doing this week.”
Harry’s eyebrows lifted.
“Oh yeah?”
“Yeah.
One of them has a rotating kitchen set that took forever to get approved,” you said. “Another one has fake marble columns that look expensive but are actually foam.”
Harry laughed.
“Don’t ruin the magic for me.” “Sorry,” you said with a small grin.
“Occupational hazard.”
He studied you for a moment, curious. “So you basically build the worlds we embarrass ourselves in.”
“That’s a very poetic way of putting it,” you replied.
“Is it wrong though?”
You thought about it. “…No, actually.”
Another pause.
The elevator hummed faintly but didn’t move.
Harry sighed dramatically. “Well,” he said, glancing around the metal box, “this is probably the smallest set you’ve worked on.”
You looked around, too. “Minimalist design,” you said. “Very experimental.”
Harry laughed again.
“You’re handling this a lot better than I am.”
“Oh, trust me,” you said, gesturing to the chair beneath you, “I’m emotionally attached to this thing now.”
“Trauma bonding?”
“Exactly.” Harry looked at the chair thoughtfully.
“…Do you think it’ll make it to rehearsal?”
You patted the armrest like a loyal pet.
“It better.” Then you looked up at him.
“Otherwise, we were trapped in here for nothing.”
...
Thirty minutes had passed.
And apparently, no one had noticed that either of you was missing.
You sighed and leaned your head back against the elevator wall.
“I actually expect them not to care about me,” you said, glancing at him. “But you? There’s no way they forget about you.”
Harry chuckled. “C’mon,” he said. “You don’t think your boss is looking for you?”
You tilted your head, thinking about it for a second.
“I mean… they’ll definitely be looking for the chair.” That made both of you laugh.
After the laughter faded, you realized something.
“Oh—wait,” you said, sitting up straighter. “I actually haven’t introduced myself to you.”
You held your hand out. “I’m Y/N, by the way.”
Harry took your hand and shook it warmly. “Harry,” he said with a small smile. “But you probably know that by now.”
“Yeah,” you admitted. “I read the call sheet.” He laughed softly at that.
You leaned back into the chair again, studying him for a moment before speaking.
“I enjoyed your new album, by the way.” Harry looked pleasantly surprised.
“Oh yeah?”
“Yeah,” you said with a small nod.
“Especially Coming Up Roses.”
He blinked.
“Thank you YN.”
You shrugged. “What can I say? I have taste.”
Harry smiled at that, clearly amused. “Well,” he said, leaning against the elevator wall again, “I’m glad someone does.”
You looked around the still-motionless elevator.
“So… do you think this is the universe forcing us to network?”
Harry laughed.
“If this is networking,” he said, “it’s the most stressful version I’ve experienced.”
You patted the chair again.
“Hey. At least you met the real star this weekend’s show.”
Harry looked down at the chair.
“…I’m starting to think you’re serious about that.”
“Oh, I am.”
...
Fifty minutes in.
Just when the quiet had started to feel a little too long, a loud knock echoed against the metal doors.
Both you and Harry straightened immediately.
“Hello! It’s the fire brigade!” a voice called from outside. “Are you alright in there?”
Relief flooded through you.
“Yes! Yes, we’re alright!” you shouted back, standing up from the chair.
The voice came again.“How many of you are in there?”
You glanced at Harry. “Two!” you replied.
A pause.
“Two what?” the firefighter asked.
You blinked.
“Uh—two people?” Harry snorted quietly beside you, trying not to laugh.
“Can you tell us if anyone is injured?” the voice asked.
“No injuries!” you said. “Just a bruised ego!”
Harry leaned closer to the door and called out, “And a slightly offended chair!”
You elbowed him.
“Don’t listen to him!” you yelled through the door. “We're fine!”
There was a small murmur of confused voices outside.
Then the firefighter spoke again.
“Alright, stay calm. We’re going to manually open the elevator.”
You let out a breath you hadn’t realized you were holding.
Harry rubbed his hands together. “Well,” he said quietly, “looks like the chair survives.”
You looked down at it proudly.
“Of course it does.”
Another metallic clank sounded from outside as tools began working at the doors.
Harry glanced at you.
“You know,” he said with a grin, “this might be the most dramatic prop delivery in the history of Saturday Night Live.”
You crossed your arms.
“Worth it,” you said.
Then you added thoughtfully—
“…though I do expect a raise after this.”
Harry laughed.
“Fair.”
More clanking echoed from outside the elevator.
You and Harry waited, listening carefully as voices murmured beyond the metal doors.
Then the firefighter spoke again. “Alright, listen up. The elevator is stuck between floors. We’re going to get you out, but it might take some time.”
Your stomach dropped.
“How long?” you asked, trying to keep your voice steady.
There was a brief pause.
“Possibly around one or two hours. We have to secure the elevator first before opening anything. It could be risky otherwise.”
Two hours.
Your face went a little pale. “O-okay… thank you,” you called back.
The footsteps and voices outside moved away slightly as they began preparing.
You slowly turned around and sat back down on the chair.
The chair.
The stupid, career-saving chair.
You rubbed your hands together nervously.
“Okay,” you said quietly.
Harry looked over.
“I’m slightly panicking.”
He straightened a little. “Oh.”
You pursed your lips, trying to keep yourself calm.
“Did I mention,” you continued, forcing a casual tone, “that I’m a little claustrophobic?”
Harry’s eyebrows lifted.
“And also,” you added quickly, “terrifyingly afraid of heights.” You gestured vaguely toward the elevator walls.
“Which is unfortunate… considering we are currently trapped in a metal box… suspended in the air.”
Harry blinked. “…Right.”
You inhaled slowly, trying to steady yourself.
“I’m trying to stay calm,” you muttered. Then you looked at him seriously.
“If I pass out, please don’t let me fall off the chair.”
Harry crouched down slightly so he was more at your eye level.
“Hey,” he said gently. “Look at me.”
You did.
“We’re okay,” he said calmly. “The elevator isn’t going anywhere. They wouldn’t leave us hanging here if it wasn’t safe.”
You nodded, though your fingers were still twisting together nervously.
Harry glanced around the tiny space.
“Well,” he said, trying to lighten the mood,
“good news.”
You eyed him suspiciously.
“What?”
“At least you brought a chair.”
Despite yourself, you let out a shaky laugh.
“…You’re unbelievable.”
Harry grinned.
“Working on keeping morale up.”
Harry lowered himself carefully onto the elevator floor, legs crossed.
“I’ll help you keep grounded,” he said, looking up at you with a small grin.
“Pun intended, Harry?” you asked, raising an eyebrow.
“A little bit,” he admitted. “Yeah… appropriate for this very moment.”
You both giggled, the tension in your chest loosening slightly.
“Tell me more about you,” he said, leaning back on his hands, his eyes curious.
You narrowed your eyes at him, mock suspicion in your expression.
“Wow. Great technique on distracting me,” you muttered, trying to keep your heartbeat from speeding up.
“Distracting you?” he echoed innocently. “I’m just… helping you pass the time.”
“Uh-huh,” you said, crossing your arms, “by sitting on the floor like some charming elevator philosopher?”
Harry laughed, the sound echoing softly off the metal walls.
“Exactly,” he said, shrugging. “Keeps things… interesting.”
You shook your head, trying not to smile too widely. “Alright, fine. I’ll bite. What do you want to know?”
“Everything,” he said, his grin widening. “Well… not everything. But… what keeps you sane when elevators are out to get you?” You let out a short laugh, shaking your head.
“Good question. I… focus on the small wins. Like, right now, surviving thirty minutes without screaming counts, right?”
“Definitely counts,” Harry agreed.
“And honestly… I think you’re handling this better than I am.”
You blushed faintly, glancing down at the chair beneath you.
“Well,” you said, trying to sound casual, “this chair is literally keeping my career alive. It’s kind of my life coach at this point.”
Harry’s laugh came again, and this time it was softer, warmer.
“I like that,” he said. “Life coach chair. Makes sense.”
You couldn’t help but grin. “And here I thought being stuck in an elevator was going to be terrifying,” you murmured.
“Who knew,” Harry said, leaning back slightly, “that it could also be… kind of fun?”
You laughed quietly, shaking your head.
“Yeah… kind of fun. Don’t make me regret saying that, though.”
Harry winked.
“Too late. It’s already happening.”
A beat of silence settled over the two of you.
You stared at the elevator doors, willing them to budge, willing someone—anyone—to get you both out of this metallic cage.
Harry, noticing your blank stare, snapped his fingers lightly in front of your face.
“You good, Y/N?” he asked, his tone soft but teasing.
You blinked, shaking yourself out of the trance. “Eh… good,” you said, trying to sound nonchalant, though your fingers still twitched nervously.
He raised an eyebrow, leaning back slightly on his elbows.
“Good is good,” he said with a small smile, as if your answer alone was enough to ease some of the tension.
You nodded, forcing yourself to breathe a little easier.
“Yeah… good,” you murmured again, though a tiny laugh escaped your lips.
Harry’s grin widened just slightly, catching the small sound. “You know,” he said quietly, “if being stuck in an elevator makes you giggle, I’d say we’re surviving better than expected.”
You glanced at him, the corner of your mouth twitching.
“Better than expected… sure. I’ll take that,” you said, letting yourself lean back a little against the chair, finally feeling a fraction more grounded.
For a moment, the panic faded into something lighter—shared, quiet, and oddly comforting.
“Wanna take a seat on the chair?” you asked, gesturing toward the prop that had caused both your triumph and your current predicament.
“Yeah… might as well,” Harry said, easing himself carefully onto the chair. “Solemnly keeping your job for you, huh?”
“HA! Right,” you laughed. “This little thing has been more useful than half the runners today.”
Harry leaned back, resting one arm on the top of the chair.
“Don’t worry, Y/N,” he said, looking at you with a small grin. “You won’t lose your job. This is the universe’s work—they won’t fire you… I think.”
You exhaled a relieved laugh.
“Thank you for the reassurance, Harry,” you said, letting yourself relax a little.
“And if they do fire you,” he added with mock seriousness, “I’ll find a way to get you on my payroll.”
Your eyebrows shot up, surprised. “Wow. That’s generous. Are there… benefits?” you teased, leaning against the chair.
“Benefits?” he asked, raising a brow, playing along.
“Yes. You know. Health care. Insurance. Paid vacation. Perks. Free snacks?”
Harry chuckled, tilting his head thoughtfully.
“Hm… well,” he said, smirking, “health care? Check. Insurance? Absolutely. Paid vacation? Probably. Perks… depends on how well you survive elevator adventures. Free snacks? Only if you help me pick my new furniture.”
You laughed, shaking your head.
“Sounds… like a pretty good gig,” you said, letting yourself sink a little further into the chair.
Harry leaned back slightly, eyes glinting with amusement.
“Just… promise me one thing,” he said quietly.
“What’s that?”
“That if we survive this elevator, you’ll let me see your set designs sometime. I want to see the worlds you make.”
You smiled, feeling the panic from earlier soften even more.
“Deal,” you said. As you both shake hands to seal the deal.
"Can I ask you something?” you said, leaning slightly forward, curiosity getting the better of you.
“Of course,” Harry replied, tilting his head, giving you his full attention.
“What did you want to be before auditioning for X Factor?” you asked.
“Like… did you know what you were going to do after college? Did you have a backup plan if you didn’t get in?”
Harry chuckled softly, leaning back a little on the chair.
“Wow… jumping straight to the deep questions, huh?” he said with a grin.
“Hey,” you shot back, “we’re trapped in an elevator. Deep questions are basically mandatory.”
He laughed, shaking his head.
“Fair enough,” he said, eyes thoughtful. “Before auditioning… I honestly just wanted to perform. Sing, write, maybe play a few shows. I didn’t really think about a backup. I was too stubborn, I guess.”
You raised an eyebrow.
“Stubborn or brave?” you asked.
“Maybe a little of both,” he admitted, smiling faintly. “I figured if I wanted it badly enough, I’d find a way to make it happen.”
You nodded slowly, impressed despite yourself.
“And you weren’t scared?” you pressed, leaning closer. “Of… failing?”
Harry shrugged, his grin softening.
“Of course, I was scared,” he said honestly. “But you know… fear’s part of it. You just… push through. Otherwise, you’d never know what could’ve been.”
You smiled, thinking about your own choices, your own little victories and risks in New York set design.
“So… no backup plan?” you asked again, a teasing tone creeping into your voice.
“Not really,” he said, laughing. “But if the music thing hadn’t worked, I probably would’ve ended up doing something else creative or helping people. You know… art, psychology, design, theatre, or therapist… something where I could still function in society some way.”
You grinned, leaning back on the chair, feeling the strange intimacy of the conversation wrap around the two of you.
“You sound like someone who always makes it work,” you said quietly.
Harry shrugged modestly, still grinning. “Or someone lucky… maybe a little of both,” he said.
You let out a quiet laugh, shaking your head.
“Lucky… sure. That’s one way to put it.”
“How about you?” Harry asked, leaning forward slightly. “How did you get into this… industry?”
You thought for a moment, fingers brushing along the chair armrest.
“Well,” you began, “I always wanted to be an interior designer.
But… honestly, it was kind of boring for me to sit in an office all day.”
Harry nodded, listening intently.
“I mean,” you continued, a small smile tugging at your lips, “this is still an office job in a way—but there’s so much more creativity in it. I get to make the most random sets every weekend, design worlds that people only see for a few minutes, and then… poof, gone. But it’s fun. It keeps me on my toes.”
Harry’s eyes lit up with curiosity. “That sounds amazing,” he said.
“Random sets every weekend? Must be a rush, seeing everything come together like that.”
“It is,” you admitted, leaning back slightly, enjoying the way the elevator’s cramped space had somehow turned into a safe little bubble for this conversation. “And the best part… the little details no one notices but make a scene feel real. That’s my favorite part.”
He smiled softly.
“I get that,” he said. “It’s like… the things people don’t see are sometimes the most important.”
You nodded, feeling an odd connection forming through the shared understanding.
“Exactly,” you said, eyes lighting up. “And sometimes, it’s the little things that end up saving the show… or the job.”
Harry glanced down at the chair you were both sitting on, then grinned knowingly.
“Ah… so this chair really is a hero, huh?”
You laughed, shaking your head.
“Yeah… my unsung hero of the week.”
“Okay… can I hold that against you, Harry?” you asked, tilting your head with a mischievous smile.
“Adding in me your payroll,” your smile not going away.
“Sure,” he said, grinning, “Only catch is you have to let me take you to dinner.”
You laughed, gesturing vaguely around the cramped elevator.
“Well,” you said, still smiling, “if we do live to tell the tale.”
He pulled his phone out and handed it to you.
“Here,” he said. “Put your number in. That way we can have a proper meet-up… rather than this little… elevator mishap.”
You took the phone carefully, fingers hovering for a second before typing in your number.
“Done,” you said, handing it back.
Then, without thinking too much, you immediately grabbed the phone again, held it up, and sat up straight in the chair, smiling softly.
“Smile,” you muttered to yourself, as if instructing a photographer.
Harry raised an eyebrow. “I’m surprised… You only took one.”
“Yes,” you said, handing the phone back to him.
“Being in here has made me look pretty… flushed. No need for a touch-up.”
He chuckled, tucking the phone away. “You’re ridiculous,” he said, grinning.
“Ridiculously right,” you replied, smirking, letting yourself relax back into the chair.
The two of you shared a quiet laugh, the elevator suddenly feeling less like a trap and more like its own little world—two people, a heroic chair, and a pause from the chaos outside.
...
An hour had passed.
The initial panic had faded into a quiet, exhausted stillness. The adrenaline that had kept you alert and jittery was slowly draining away.
A voice crackled from outside the elevator. “Alright, guys,” one of the firefighters called.
“In about ten minutes, you might feel a big shift. We’re trying to move the elevator to the next floor up.”
“Okay,” Harry responded, leaning slightly back against the chair.
You let out a soft sigh, closing your eyes for a moment. The exhaustion from the morning, combined with the stress and anxiety, was starting to hit you.
“Do you guys need any immediate medical attention?” the firefighter asked.
“Nope, we’re good!” you called back.
The elevator fell quiet again.
Harry glanced at you, eyes concerned. “Are you sure you’re good, Y/N?” he asked gently.
You let out a long yawn, rubbing at your eyes.
“Yeah,” you said quietly. “Just sleepy… from this morning and… from the anxiety.”
Harry nodded slowly, as if understanding more than you were saying.
“Sleepy,” he repeated, a small smile tugging at his lips. “I get that. It’s been a lot.”
You gave a small laugh, but it was tired, soft.
“Yeah,” you whispered, leaning slightly back into the chair. “Just… wish I had a proper bed right now.”
Harry tilted his head, watching you. “Or… maybe a friend to keep you company while you wait,” he said lightly, almost teasing—but there was warmth in his voice.
You opened your eyes slightly and met his gaze, your tired grin soft.
“Yeah… I suppose this works too,” you murmured. He smiled back, and for a moment, the elevator—though still cramped and unmoving—felt like its own little safe space.
You yawned again, burying your face into the chair’s backrest, letting yourself finally relax just a little.
Harry stayed nearby, leaning against the you, silently keeping watch.
...
Harry lowered himself carefully onto the elevator floor beside you, leaning his head against the chair’s cushion.
“I thought I was going to get tired from rehearsing,” he said quietly, letting out a little laugh, “but this… this is exhausting too.” You let out a soft chuckle.
“Me too,” you admitted, glancing at him. For a moment, the two of you just sat there, letting the silence stretch. The only sounds were the faint hum of the elevator machinery and your slow, steady breathing.
Then Harry shifted slightly, looking over at you. “I’m… happy that you’re the person I got stuck in an elevator with today,” he said softly, a small, sincere smile tugging at his lips.
You shrugged, trying to play it cool, even though the warmth of his words settled pleasantly in your chest.
“Ditto to that,” you said quietly, meeting his gaze. Another pause fell between you. It was comfortable this time, not awkward—just two people quietly existing together in a tiny, suspended world.
You let your hand brush lightly against the chair cushion, your fingers almost grazing his. He glanced at it, then back at you, a teasing sparkle in his eye.
“Pretty cozy,” he murmured. You laughed softly, shaking your head.
“Who knew being trapped in a metal box could be… sort of nice?”
Harry smirked. “Only with the right company,” he said.
You felt a small, genuine smile spread across your face, and for the first time in over an hour, the elevator didn’t feel so confining.
A voice suddenly echoed from outside the elevator.
“Alright, you two,” one of the firefighters called, “there’s going to be a jolt, and the lights might go out. We need to restart the system to move it again.”
You shot upright, your heart jumping.
“…Wait. What did you just say? The lights will go out?” you blurted, your voice a mix of disbelief and panic.
Harry glanced at you, eyebrows raised, then leaned back slightly against the chair.
“…Yup,” he said calmly, almost teasing. “Looks like we’re about to get a little… adventure bonus.”
You let out a sharp laugh that was more nervous than amused.
“Adventure bonus? Are you kidding me? We’re already trapped, and now this?” Harry tilted his head at you, giving you a small, reassuring smile.
“Hey, if it makes you feel better,” he said, “I’ll be right here. Lights or no lights. Chair or no chair.”
You blinked at him, the ridiculousness of the situation colliding with the comfort in his calm presence.
“…Right,” you muttered, forcing yourself to breathe. “Okay… just… don’t laugh if I scream.”
“Noted,” he said, leaning slightly closer, a smirk tugging at his lips. “But no promises if you grab the chair and try to throw it at me.”
You groaned, letting your head drop into your hands for a second, then peeked up at him.
“Honestly… what else could go wrong?”
Harry shrugged, smirking. “Well… I’d say if we survive this, the universe owes us a drink—or two.”
You let out a shaky laugh. “…Fine. Deal,” you said. “But only if you promise not to let me fall off the chair when the lights go out.”
“Scout’s honor,” he said, flashing a quick grin.
You swallowed, bracing yourself as the elevator hummed again, and the faint click of the system restarting made your stomach twist.
And then—just like the firefighter warned—the elevator jolted.
You let out a loud, sharp gasp, your chest tightening as the sudden movement made your stomach lurch.
Instinctively, your fingers scrabbled at the cushion of the chair, scratching it for comfort.
Then, darkness.
The lights went out.
You froze for a moment, heart pounding, before your hand found Harry’s shoulder without thinking, pressing against it for grounding.
Your nails dug in slightly, and a quiet, embarrassed, “Sorry,” escaped your lips.
“No,” Harry said softly, his voice calm even in the dark. “You’re fine, Y/N.”
You felt his hand wrap gently around your wrist, anchoring you. The warmth of his touch was grounding, almost soothing.
“This is… a first time for me,” you admitted quietly, your voice barely above a whisper.
“Ditto,” Harry replied, his tone soft but steady.
You swallowed, leaning slightly closer toward the warmth of his presence, letting yourself settle just a fraction more.
For a moment, the darkness didn’t feel so terrifying—not with him right there.
Your heartbeat was still racing, your nerves still frayed, but somehow…
You weren’t alone.
The elevator jolted again, this time moving slowly upward.
You gripped the chair tightly as it shifted beneath you, your stomach twisting with every tiny lurch.
Then, finally, it stopped.
The lights flickered weakly as you heard a familiar voice from outside.
“Freedom is almost there, guys,” the firefighter called. “We just need to pry the doors open. Give us a moment to get it prepared.”
You let out a long, shaky breath without even realizing you’d been holding it.
Harry exhaled beside you as well, his shoulder brushing yours.
“Finally,” he muttered quietly, a small, tired smile tugging at his lips.
You leaned back against the chair, letting your hand slowly fall from his shoulder, though the warmth lingered in your memory.
“Almost there,” you echoed softly, the tension in your shoulders finally starting to ease.
For the first time in what felt like forever, the cramped metal box didn’t feel suffocating—it just felt… temporary.
Harry glanced at you, his smirk returning.
“Think we survived the world’s tiniest adventure?” he teased lightly.
You gave a tired laugh, your voice soft. “…I think we did,” you admitted.
And for the first time in an hour, it felt like you could finally relax.
“I’m gonna file for PTO,” you muttered, rubbing your eyes, your voice rough from the stress and exhaustion. “I cannot be in this office tomorrow.”
Harry leaned back slightly against the chair, watching you with that familiar, soft smile.
“Well… once you recover,” he said gently, “I hope you’ll come see my SNL show this weekend.”
You looked at him, tired but touched.
“I want you there, Y/N,” he said softly, his eyes warm.
“Okay… I will be,” you whispered, managing a small, tired smile.
Then, a voice came over the elevator door again, cutting through the quiet.
“Get away from the door! We don’t want you getting hurt!”
You and Harry both jumped slightly, instinctively stepping back. Moments later, the unmistakable sound of banging echoed around you, and with a loud metallic clunk, the doors began to slide open.
Light poured into the elevator, and your eyes widened as you saw the scene before you.
A small crowd had gathered—firefighters still in their gear, Harry’s assistant and manager hovering anxiously nearby, your boss looking flustered but relieved… and a handful of curious bystanders who had apparently caught wind that Harry Styles had been trapped in an elevator.
Gasps, whispers, and a few excited murmurs filled the space.
“Y/N!” your boss called, rushing forward. “Are you okay?”
“Yes!” you said, stepping out carefully, still clutching the chair.
“We’re… fine!”
Harry rose from the chair beside you, brushing himself off, looking calm despite the chaos.
“Thanks for getting us out,” he said to the firefighters, giving a small, grateful nod.
His manager shot him a sharp look, muttering something about “embarrassing headlines,” but Harry’s attention was already back on you.
“Trapped in here with you…” He murmured with a half-smile, glancing at you. “…not the worst thing that could’ve happened.”
You laughed softly, exhaustion and relief mixing into a warm, dizzying feeling.
The crowd murmured again, a mixture of awe and disbelief—Harry Styles, trapped in an elevator, and he wasn’t alone.
You shot him a tired but fond look.
“Ditto,” you said quietly.
And for a moment, amidst the chaos, it felt like it had all been worth it.
…
After all the commotion outside the elevator, you and Harry were escorted into a nearby conference room.
Inside sat Harry’s manager and assistant, along with your boss. The door closed behind you, the hallway noise fading as everyone settled into their seats.
The building manager and a company representative stood across the table, looking apologetic and slightly nervous.
“We deeply apologise, Mr Styles,” the representative began. “We had an inspection scheduled for that elevator tomorrow. Somehow it malfunctioned today. We will compensate for any possible damages that occurred during this incident.” Harry nodded politely.
“Thank you,” he said calmly. “But you’re forgetting that I wasn’t alone. I was with Y/N, and she deserves an apology too.”
Your eyes widened slightly.
You honestly hadn’t expected that. Usually, if anything inconvenient happened in the building, the company would quietly brush it aside—unless, of course, an A-list celebrity was involved.
The representative blinked before quickly turning to you.
“Yes, absolutely—uhm… Y/N, right? We sincerely apologise for the situation you experienced as well. You are welcome to file for any leave you may need after this incident, and it will be immediately approved.”
Your boss nodded quickly beside you. “Yes, of course. Take whatever time you need.”
You blinked, still processing the sudden shift in treatment.
“Thank you,” you said quietly.
The building manager nodded several more times. “Again, our deepest apologies. We’re very glad both of you are safe.”
After another round of apologies and handshakes, the representatives finally left the room with a series of hurried goodbyes.
The door clicked shut. And suddenly the room felt much quieter.
Harry leaned back slightly in his chair, glancing over at you with a small, reassuring smile—like the whole situation hadn’t been such a big deal to him.
But to you, it kind of was.
Because someone had actually stood up for you.
And that didn’t happen very often.
And then, suddenly—
You and Harry both burst out laughing.
It wasn’t even coordinated. It just… happened. The absurdity of everything—the elevator, the chair, the darkness, the crowd waiting outside—finally caught up to you.
Across the table, your boss, Harry’s manager, and his assistant all looked completely confused.
“Harry,” his manager said sharply, “this is no laughing matter. You’re way behind schedule because of this fiasco.”
Harry wiped at the corner of his eye, still smiling.
“Jesus Christ, Jeff, calm down,” he said. “We’re not hurt in any way.”
Jeff still looked unconvinced.
Harry leaned back in the chair, exhaling.
“But I do agree,” he added, rubbing the back of his neck. “I need to decompress after that.” His assistant nodded sympathetically.
“Sure. Take the rest of the day off, Harry.”
Before anything else could be said, your boss suddenly rushed toward you and wrapped you in a tight hug. You blinked in surprise as they clung to you, eyes a little teary.
“I was so scared,” they said. “I thought something happened to you. I thought you got mugged or something.” You laughed softly.
“But then I saw your text after thirty minutes,” they continued, pulling back slightly. “You were stuck in the elevator! Y/N, I’m so sorry.”
“It’s okay,” you said gently. “Not exactly the worst coworker to be stuck with.”
Harry grinned from his chair.
Your boss sniffled and wiped their eyes before suddenly remembering something.
“Oh! And the firefighter brought the chair up to the fifth floor for rehearsal,” they said.
You let out a relieved breath.
“Thank god.”
Your boss pointed at you with a proud smile.
“Y/N, I owe you a big solid for this.”
Harry chuckled, glancing between the two of you.
“See?” he said. “Hero chair did its job.” You shook your head, laughing again.
The entire situation finally felt real now—chaotic, ridiculous, but somehow… worth it.
And for the first time since the elevator doors opened, the tension in the room had completely melted away.
Harry stood from his chair and stretched his arms a little.
“Jeff,” he said casually, “I won’t be checking emails or calls today. Take care of them for me, alright?”
Jeff looked mildly exasperated but nodded. “Sure, mate. Where will you go?”
Harry didn’t answer immediately.
Instead, he glanced over at you. “Y/N,” he said, a small smile tugging at the corner of his mouth.
“Wanna grab a bite?” You blinked, slightly surprised—but not unhappy about it.
“Sure,” you said, standing up and grabbing your bag.
Then you paused and added quickly—“But let’s take the stairs.”
Harry raised an eyebrow.
“I’ve had enough of elevators today.”
That made him laugh. “Fair point,” he said, pushing his chair back.
Jeff sighed dramatically behind him.
“Brilliant. My client almost died in an elevator, and now he’s going on a lunch date.”
Harry shot him a look over his shoulder.
“Relax, Jeff. I survived.”
You shook your head, trying not to laugh as the two of you headed toward the door.
Harry held it open for you, gesturing toward the hallway.
“After you.”
You stepped out and glanced toward the elevator down the corridor.
Then immediately turned the other direction.
“Stairs,” you repeated firmly.
Harry followed beside you, grinning.
“Stairs it is.”
And for the first time that day, the whole ordeal felt less like a disaster…
…and more like the beginning of a really good story.
...
AHHHHH I'm just overwhelmed, so I'm coping by making silly stories in my head ☆⌒(>。<)
I just realised that @fkingstyles made a better version of this, so sorry. I didn't mean to do this. Please forgive me for my mistakes.
Please read and heart their work here (。╯︵╰。)
This is her fifth time asking him. They had a date planned today and Harry promised he wouldn't cancel this time, but of course an hour before they had it leave he had to “send a few emails”. But now, here they are all dressed up and he's held up in his office. He claims she comes first in his life, but when it does this it just make was her feel like shit because she clearly isn't.
She waits another 10 minutes, which by now they've missed their reservations, and tries to talk to him.
“Harry could you at least come downstairs? We already missed the reservations.”
“Can you just wait, I'm trying to do something” his voice slightly rough with frustration.
“Why are you getting annoyed with me when I've been waiting for you got over an hour”
“Some of us have responsibility, Y/N.” his voice tense.
That pissed her off beyond belief. Yes, she gets he works, so she’s able to stay home. But she does have responsibilities and he knows that. She had an art career and she makes custom paintings for people and that takes up a lot of her time. She also does a lot of the cooking and such. It’s not that she’s forced to she enjoys it but it’s still something she has become responsible for. Not even that the fact he’s constantly canceling on her.
“Excuse me ? I have plenty of responsibilities, and don’t forget, you’re the one who encouraged me to quit my job and be home like this.” Her voice rises as her anger grows. How dare he act like she doesn’t do anything.
“I’m working my ass off to provide for us, and this is how you thank me? I’m sorry I have things to do so you can live comfortably.”
“Is it such a sin to want to spend time with my husband?”
“Jesus, Y/N. What do you want me I do quit my job?” he snaps
“I never said that but it would be nice for you to make time do me, your wife.”
He runs his hand through his hair and a part of Y/N truly does feel bad for him. He has been extremely stressed recently; work has been hectic, but it still hurts that he is always canceling on her. At this point, she doesn't want to fight with him.
“Whateve Harry” is the last thing she says before storming out. Iron she needs space from him now.
She's still dressed ho in her date clothes so she decides to take herself out. She drives to this little dinner not too far from their house and gets a booth.
Eating alone at some casual dinner isn't how she envisioned the night, and she'd be lying if she said she was enjoying herself.
She scrolls through her phone as she eats her burger and fries. The milkshake she got to cheer her up brought little enjoyment. Arguing with Harry just makes her feel like shit because she loves him more than anything, he just acts so clueless sometimes, and it's frustrating.
Halfway through her meal, the bell rings. There aren't many people in th diner so another presence is obvious.
Suddenly the spot in front of her is filled.
“Y/N?” his voice is much softer this time. She looks up at him and his eyes are bloodshot. People wouldn't think he's much of an emotional person being a tough CEO and all, but he is. He cries every time they argue. Not to say she doesn't, just people wouldn't expect him too as well.
“Im so sorry, baby. I was being a prick.” he sounds genuinely remorseful but she still needs to get her feelings across.
“I know you're sorry, but you have to understand how shitty it feels to constantly he put on the back burner. Not even that for you to act like I don't do anything”
“I have no excuse because I do know how it makes you feel, and I don't want to excuse anything, but it's just that I constantly have this constant anxiety that I'm not doing enough for my company and I'll go bankrupt, then we won't have anything and it'll be my fault. I just need to be perfect 24/7 because one mistake can tank everything.I just always feel the need to check everything I sent, all my numbers, my emails, just anything.” his anxiety is very real and something he's been working hard on. She knows firsthand how hard anxiety is to deal with and she hates that he lives his life constantly in distress over messing up. “ And I'm am truly sorry for acting like you don't do anything because you do, so much. You are what holds this relationship together. You hold me together. We wouldn't be us if you didn't do what you do.”
“I know, honey. And I do understand you're trying, I really do, it's just hard sometimes. It really hurts when you cancel. Not even that, you don't deserve to live like this. I don't want to be constantly riddled with anxiety.”
“I know and I’ll work on it, I promise. I'll talk to someone about my anxiety because this is not fair to you or me”
Y/N knows he means it and for now, that's enough.
She reaches over to laying her hand on top of his. “I love you, Harry, never forget that”
“I love you, more than anything” his voice softer than ever.
“How did you even know I was here?”
“I was driving around and it's hard to ignore all th cat stickers ok your car, so” he shrugs with a lopsided smile as he trailed off.
“Stalker” she jokes but he just brings her hand it his lips and presses a kiss on it.
Harry orders his own meal.
“We can just go home if you want, H. You didn’t need to get anything.”
“I promised you a date, and I need to stick to my promises, all of them.
They continue to eat together in comfortable silence, nothing needed to be said in the moment.
Once home, they decide to go straight to be. Sure, they probably need to have a deeper conversation but right now they just need each other, and that’s all they could ask for
The morning light filters in the room. Y/N whines as she shoves her face in Harry’s chest, under the blanket.
“You’re always so cranky in the morning.” his words are teasing, but that doesn’t stop the fond expression on his face. Even through the slight grouch, she always looks cute in the mornings. Her puffy eyes, the slight pout, and her little huffs as she gained consciousness.
"I wouldn't be grouchy if it weren't so bright and cold. I hate winter. Why do I have to wake up to frozen toes?" Her grumbles come through muffled from under the blanket. He giggles at her. In the years they've been together, she has never been a morning person.
He pulls it off her face, causing it to scrunch up, but he just sighs out a laugh. He will never get tired of seeing her like this. Being able to wake up next to her every day is a blessing in itself.
He leans down, kissing her nose, "Did you sleep well?"
"Yeah, did you?" he just nods in response as he places another kiss on her forehead.
For a few minutes, they just lay together, snuggled up, breathing in each other.
"I'm doing it today." He says Determined. "I'm ready".
"Yeah, you're gonna release it?" she asks. She knows he had a little video from the last Love On Tour show he's been working on, but he's been waiting for the right time to release it.
He nods, tracing the curves of her face. "I just miss my fan so much, I miss performing, the break was amazing, you know. I really needed it, but I'm ready to start coming back, even if it's something small."
"Well, they're gonna love it, H". She pecks his cheek. She has never been prouder of someone. In the time they've been together, he has accomplished so much, and her heart is so full of pure pride when she looks at him. Every award, every song, movie, anything he does, she will support him in. And she knows he feels the same about her. It is so refreshing to be in a relationship where you never have to worry about the other not supporting you over something.
"They're gonna flip the fuck out, you know that, right ?" She knows his fans have a history of going crazy when Harry moves, so she knows this is going to be entertaining to watch.
"Oh, most definitely," he chuckles out. "I'm excited to see how this plays out."
He wraps his arms around her tighter, now placing a quick peck on her lips. "I love you, sweet girl. I one hundred percent couldn't do this without you. My biggest supporter."
"I think your mom might have that place, but I'll take it." He just huffs out a laugh as he pulls her closer, if that's possible.
"Maybe after I brake the internet, we can go out for dinner?"
Y/N is going to Harry's house today, and he couldn't be more nervous.
Sure, he's had people at his house before, but this is Y/N, his girlfriend; he wants everything to be perfect. He wants her to feel comfortable here, like he does at her house. So, he wanted to change a few things for her. His house is modern and doesn't have much color, not like hers, at least. He added some cute throw pillows and blankets to make it feel more at home for her. The last thing he wants is for her to feel like a stranger in his house because she is far from one. He even bought some cat paintings to put in his living room and bedroom.
He's pacing around his living room, waiting for her arrival. “What if she thinks I'm a rich dick?” He thinks to himself, insecurities flood his mind, but he shakes them away. They've spent a lot of time together. He knows she doesn't care about his money.
And on top of that, he's running behind. The meeting at work went on much longer than expected, so he didn't have time to fully prepare.
A knock on the door brings him out of his thoughts. He rushes over to let her in, taking a deep breath before opening the door.
“Hey, love, don't you look pretty?” And she really does. Her hair is in French braids with two pieces framing her face. She had done a light, natural makeup look today.
“Thank you, Harry. You look very handsome,” She reaches up, kissing him, and he doesn’t think he'll ever fully get used to her lips on his, so soft and plush. “But I didn't know we were dressing up tonight”.
“Oh, you look beautiful, lovie, I didn't take my work clothes off, the meeting ran long,” he says bashfully.
“Oh, we could have rescheduled if you needed to,” he firmly shakes his head at the. No way would he have done that and miss the opportunity to see her.
“Well, for what it's worth, you look very good right now,” she says, fidgeting with his tie.
“Yeah?” she nods at that as she goes further inside, passing him a sly smile.
She looks around his house with big eyes. “Oh wow, your place is huge, it must be so hard to cl- Oh, I love this blanket, it's a little artist cat painting, that's so cute.”
“Got it for you, want you to feel at home”. She assures him he didn’t have to change anything for her, but made sure he knew how much she appreciated it and would definitely be using it.
He sits on the couch next to her, and she can’t stop staring at him.
“What's wrong?”
“You just look really good in a suit”.
He positions himself closer to her, “Hmm, you already said that, my love,” he teases.
“Come ‘ere, wanna kiss you some more”. The tension in the room has shifted, even more so when she moves closer to him and connects their lips. The kiss starts soft and tentative; their lips move slowly against each other. Her fingers move to his hair, slightly tugging on the roots, causing him to groan, on her lips turn it lustful. He takes his time licking her bottom lip, nibbling on it before pulling back for air. “Love your hot little mouth, pretty girl.” He pecks her lips, wanting more, “Want more?”
“Please.” At her words, he presses his lips back to hers. His hands move to her waist, tugging her over, so she's now on his lap, for better access. The kiss did not break once. Once atop his lap, he rests his hand on her side as she pulls him closer. Her soft moans cause his cock to start plumping in his slacks. He licks into her mouth, rubbing his tongue against hers, moaning as she lets him take what he wants. She adjusts on his lap, grinding over his hardening prick. Y/N moans out as she makes contact.
“Take what you need, baby, grind that pretty pussy on me.”
She wastes no time, grinding directly on his hard-on. The kiss is now a sloppy mess as their lips tangle together. He pulls away to watch how she moves on him. She wines at the disconnect.
“Don't be greedy.” His hands grip her waist, helping her grind against him, letting out soft groans himself as she moves over him. "Tell me how it feels”.
“S-so good”
“Stop, baby, wanna do something for you?” Her grinding comes to a stop as she pulls back and looks at him expectantly. She looks at him with a blissful expression. “What's the look for? I've barely touched you, baby.”
“Just felt good.”
“Yeah? Can I make you feel ever better, wanna taste you, do you want that?” She nods in response.
“Nope, need to hear you, know you can speak.”
“Yes, I want that.”
He presses his lips back to hers, fidgeting with the end of her sweater. She pulls it off, leaving her in her bra and leggings. “Fuck baby, can I touch you?” His desire is strong as he looks at her breasts sitting perfectly in her bra. It's nothing special, simple, black, but she could be wearing a bag, and he would want her just as bad. She moans out a soft ‘yes,’ and he kisses her neck. His lips are firm as he finds her sweet spot, sucking it enough to feel good, but not enough to leave a mark. He continues a line of kisses down to the tops of her breasts.
“Take it off, want to feel you more,” she whines, and he obliges with no hesitation, reaching back and unhooking her bra. He watches as her breasts fall out of their hold; her nipples harden as the cooler air hits them. She looks so hot like this, he thinks to himself. He can't take his eyes off her.
“Fuck, you're beautiful,” he says as he runs his hands over her. He starts kissing at the top of her breast, sucking a hickey there, where no one else can see it. That fills him with possession. Only he can see her like this or have her like this. “You’re mine”. He sucks her nipple into his mouth, slightly nibbling on it. Her soft moans fill his ears as he uses his other hand to softly pinch her other breast. He doesn’t want to do too much since this is their first time being intimate with each other. They’ll have a proper conversation, and kinks and whatnot later.
“Lay back, baby,” she does as he says, lying back on the couch as he starts kissing down her chest, to her stomach. This caused her to squirm with a slight giggle. “Ticklish?”
“A bit, yeah”, he just smirks at her and continues until he reaches the waistband of her leggings.
“I’m going to be honest with you, love. I want to taste you so bad.” He can’t remember the last time he wanted someone this bad. He had forgone hookups when he got out of college, and he doesn’t get into as many relationships as people think. Sure, he would form arrangements with someone, but it was always casual. Never to this point, where he was salivating at the thought of eating her out.
“Please, I want you so bad too, please don’t tease me.”
“And why shouldn't I tease you?” Normally, Harry is really into edging, or he would tease her, but he wants this just as bad, so he'll give in this time.
“Because I’ve been so good for you.” His cock lurches at her words.
“You’ve been a very good girl, Y/N, so as a reward, let me make you feel good.”
He wastes no time pulling down her leggings and dropping them on the floor. He lines himself up, so he's at eye level to her heat. He licks over the damp spot on her underwear, moaning at the taste. “Fuck you taste so good, baby,” he mumbles, licking up and down her underwear. She starts squirming, so he takes that as his cue to pull her under where off, and when he does so, he almost comes at the sight.
Her pussy is glossed over with a mix of her wetness and his spit. It's so pretty he can’t help but look and admire it. “You have the prettiest pussy I’ve ever seen, sweetheart. Could look at it all day.” He licks on a big strip from her hole up to her clit. She moans out at the contact. He continues his licking, tasting her, dipping his tongue inside of her. She lets out a sharp gasp at his actions, digging her hands in his hair for something to grab on to. "That's right, baby, tug on my hair,” he groans. She tastes so good; he could have his head between her thighs for hours if he could.
He licks back up to her now engorged clit, sucking on it, her moans getting louder as he applies more pressure. She moves her hips against his tongue. “That's a good baby, grind on my face”. He lays his togue out flat, and she moves her pussy against it. He started rubbing her hard cock against the couch, he feels like a horny teenage humping his couch like this, but she just tastes so good, and her moans of our bliss are turning him on.
“I m-I’m gonna come,” her voice more exasperated as she's reaching her end. He holds her hips down, stopping her grinds, as he takes back over. He puts his attention back on her hole, his nose rubbing on her clit. The slickness leaking down her chin. Her legs start shaking, and her moans are getting breathless, and she's about to finish.
“Come for me, baby, all over my tongue.” At his words, she lets go, moaning out, and her legs shaking, as she releases her come dripping onto Harry's tongue. His grinds get stronger as she comes. He groans against her as he starts to reach his end. Her tugging his hair sends him over the edge, moaning out, as he buries his face in her thigh. He would be embarrassed if it didn’t feel so good.
“Fuck, you okay, baby”. She nods as she's now softly running her fingers through his hair. He scoots up, squeezing himself next to her on the couch. She turns around, so they're facing each other.
“You’re amazing, H.” he smirks at her words. “Don’t be so cocky”
“I'm glad you enjoyed it, baby” he says more genuinely as he kisses her forehead.
“Can I return the favor?” She asks, causing a blush to fill his cheeks.
“I kind of already finished, I really enjoyed that”
“Next time then, yeah”
“Yeah, but let's order some food now, we worked up an appetite”.
I said the title once in the story, then decided it sounded like a good title
Sorry for any mistakes, this one might have a lot 😭
Y/N never thought she would become this desperate, but alas, here she is, waiting for her possible Sugar daddy to arrive. She never had anything against people who had one; she even made jokes about it, but when it came down to actually getting one, it was embarrassing. She’s at a place where she really needs help, and has no family to rely on, so a sugar daddy it is.
The interest rate on her loans is crazy; at this pace, she will never be able to pay them off. And her shitty apartment isn’t doing it for her anymore. Her locks don’t work, and the landlord said he’ll charge her a crazy high fee if she changes them without his permission, as it violates the contract she signed. The electricity goes in and out, and she hasn’t had a hot shower in three months.
And yeah, she could get a second job, but being a pediatric nurse is extremely draining at times. So generically, she found a trusted website that matches sugar, daddies, and babies. There were a lot of duds, a lot of creeps, and some very weird fetishes, but then she came across someone named Harry.
He seems respectful enough, and he’s handsome, so that’s a plus. He’s not one of those really old men; he’s only in his early thirties, which is nice. From their conversation, it seems like he’s lonely, and he loves buying stuff for people, so he wants someone to spoil, she guesses. He asked what she mainly needed help with, and she explained her situation. He said if it all goes well on their date, they will form an arrangement where he will pay off her loans and move her into a better apartment, as long as she spends 3 nights with him a week and goes to events with him as his dates. This is all under a contract, of course, that he’ll bring with him, and she can read over. And that honestly sounds suspiciously good and helpful for such little effort on her part.
She had gotten to the restaurant a little early, just to mentally prepare herself.
To add, this is probably the most expensive restaurant in a 30 mile radius.
Her knee bounces under the time as the time of their date approaches; she almost wants to bail, but she really does need the help.
Suddenly, the doors opened, he had requested a private room so nobody would bother them, and Harry stepped in.
"Hey, love, how are you?" He asked gently, and Y/N was kind of surprised. She wouldn't expect him to sound so soft-spoken. She expected him to sound firm and authoritative.
"I'm good, how are you?
He shakes her hand; she thinks that's kind of professional, but this is kind of a business deal, since they could sign a contract, so she guesses it makes sense.
He sits down, tells her he's doing well, and asks if she has had a chance to look over the menu. Which of course she did, she looked over the menu before she came, so she wouldn't sit here staring at it for an hour, but she just nodded.
"You don't have to be nervous, Y/N. This is a mutually beneficial arrangement; no need to worry." Again, he is so gentle and kind, it's throwing her for a loop, that voice is doing things to her, and it shouldn't be. " Would it help if we just go straight to it and save the small talk for later?"
She nods at that because, yes, that would help ease her anxieties.
"Alright, so I know we talked over text, but can you just explain more about what you need help with financially?"
"Well, I have a lot of student loans, and I guess I used some shady companies because their interest rate is ridiculously high, and I can't pay for that and my rent at the same time. As for my apartment, the locks don't really work, and the door gets jammed. The hot water broke a few months ago, and the electricity goes in and out a few times a week. I'm a nurse, so I need electricity when I have to answer patients' questions.
"Okay, those all sound very fixable things. I can help you with that. What's it like being a nurse?
"It can be hard and draining, especially since I'm in pediatrics. Seeing kids hurt and sick isn't fun but being able to help them conquer the fear they have about the doctors is rewarding. I just love helping people, especially children. I try to babysit on the side as well, but I normally have to work back to back 12-hour shifts for a day, sometimes a week at a time, to just afford the basics, you know."
He nods in understanding. "I'm truly sorry that sucks. Working as much as you can and not being able to live comfortably is ridiculous.
Y/N just nods in response. As the waiter comes to take our orders. Once the waiter is gone, Harry turns back to me.
"So, it's no secret I'm lonely, I've come to terms with it, it's kind of embarrassing, but it is what it is. I want to find someone I can take care of and spoil because it's something I enjoy doing, but I also want that person to semi-care about me or at least pretend to. And that's honestly hard to find if that even makes sense. " Y/N almost feels bad for even being here; he sounds so vulnerable and has to pay someone to be with him to have someone, but she has hoped they will form a genuine bond.
"I can do that, I mean, you don't seem like a bad person, so I think being with you won't be an issue." Y/N gives him a soft smile.
Throughout the rest of the date, they spend time learning the basics of each other. And honestly, they have a good conversation, even as the food arrives and they start eating, they click well, so maybe this arrangement won't be too bad.
"Okay," Harry mutters once they've both finished eating, "did you want an arrangement because if so, we can finalize this now".
Usually, this kind of sudden decision-making would stress her out, but this time she takes a leap of faith and says, "Yeah, now is good."
He nods and calls his lawyer, and before she knows it, she's reading the contract; she's not stupid, so she's taking her time, making sure nothing shady is going on. It says either one of us can end it at any time for any reason, which makes her feel comfortable. Once she's accepted what she read, she signs the contract, as did Harry.
His lawyer leaves, and Harry turns to me." I own an apartment complex, so I can get you moved into there tomorrow if you're free." She nods, confirming she is. " But, until then, I can get you a nice hotel with locking doors, hot water, and stable electricity."
She confirms with that plan before Harry slides a black card to her, his credit card. Yes, that was in the contract, but actually having all this money in her hands is gratifying.
The next thing she knows, she is in a car going to the hotel room Harry booked, after she had gone to her apartment to pack an overnight bag. She takes her first hot shower in months, then lies in bed.
She got a text from Harry.
I'm very happy you accepted. Tomorrow I can have some movers bring all your stuff to the apartment of your choice, then I can take you shopping?
Yeah, that sounds good, just let me know when!
Y/N goes to be with a lot of thoughts in her mind. This isn't somewhere she would've ever pictured herself being, and she isn’t sure how to feel, but a part of her feels hopeful, like maybe this will go well, and they'll become friends and have a real bond. At the very least she’ll get temporary support.
I wrote this today kinda quickly, so I hope you like it! I have a Blind date blurb i'll post soon as well.
Please like and reblog if possible and let me know if you want more of them!
The wind brushes against her, goosebumps rising on her arm in the night air. It’s not ideal that she’s outside, but unfortunately, someone has to throw out the trash, and she lives alone.
A rush of unease fills her, but she knows that feeling. She turns around to see Harry on his nightly walk. She honestly isn’t sure if he lives in her neighborhood or not, but she doesn’t question it.
“Hello Y/N. Have a good day?” He’s always nice and respectful; he never does anything weird. Just whenever he’s near her, she gets this overwhelming sense of unease, but also attraction, almost like she has to be near him. She thinks maybe that causes the unease. Why does she want to be around this man so much? It’s not like she has a crush on him. This is a completely different feeling.
“Hi Harry. I had a good day, lots of customers, but that’s expected during this time.”
He nods and says,” Maybe I’ll stop by tomorrow,” then leaves, continuing his walk. He’s visited her work a few times, but most people have; she works at a café, so a lot of familiar people come in. But he always leaves her a nice tip.
Maybe some people would find it weird that a random man shows up at her work, then suddenly her house is on his walking route, when he’s kind of came out of nowhere, but she’s never felt unsafe or in danger with him. Maybe he’s just an awkward individual, which is okay. Y/N feels awkward half the time, so she doesn’t judge. The only thing she will judge him for is the fact she saw him in shirts and a tank top when it was literally 10 degrees, but she guesses that’s a separate issue.
She goes back inside, shutting the door before the cold got in. She had a few assignments to take care of, and it wasn’t too late, so she got them out the way, ate half a tub of ice cream, which she will regret in the morning. Which she doesn’t understand because she’s not lactose intolerant, but maybe it’s all the sugar or something.
She goes to bed, leaving her assignments unfinished, but they’re not due for another two days, so she’ll be fine.
~~~
Her days are mainly chaotic first thing in the morning as everyone is going to work or school, but it has since simmered down as lunch time approaches. Sometimes she likes it when it gets busy because the time goes by faster, but other times it makes her want to rip her hair out. She’s brought out of her thoughts suddenly: not by the bell, not by the door opening and the cold air brushing her. It’s that feeling. She doesn’t even have to look up to know who it is. And honestly, a part of her thinks he knows that.
His strides are small, quiet, and he’s scoping out the room, like he hasn’t been here multiple times. But this also isn’t anything new; he does the same thing every time. Another thing she noticed is that he only talks to her. Her coworker came told her that he came in, didn’t see her, she’s normally in the front making the drinks, he said, ‘where’s Y/N,’ and when he was told she wasn’t there, he just walked out.
She would think he’s disrespectful if it were said to her. She means, yeah, that wasn’t nice, but he wanted to see her, and that’s nice. (And a little creepy, but ignoring that part.)
He stops in front of the desk, “Having a nice shift?”
“Yeah, it was busy a bit ago, but it’s slowed down.”
He mutters out a good as he looks at the menu, as if he doesn’t get the same thing every day.
“I’ll get the usual, please.”
She nods as she prepares his black coffee. Personally, she thinks it’s disgusting. She needs creamer and sugar, maybe some flavored syrup, but who is she to judge?
She starts working on it, knowing he’s not one for small talk. Since it’s just black coffee, it took her not even five minutes, then she is handing it to him. He swipes his card and just looks at her.
“Is everything okay with it?”
“Yes, it’s fine, but I’d like to talk to you about something”. The way he speaks is very onomous, but at the same time, she doesn’t feel unsafe.
“Oh, um, now?”
“No at 2 when your shift ends.” He says as he sits in the back corner with his journal. Logically, she knows if some random guy that popped out of thin air walks by her house, and shows up at her work, asks to talk to her; she should say no, but that feeling, while it’s uneasy, it is alluring.
Once two o'clock hits, she can feel Harry’s gaze on her. The door rings as the afternoon worker comes in, asking how the day has been and clocking in as Y/N clocked out. She decided to brave it and go talk to him. She is in a very public place, and the café has cameras, so she’ll be fine.
“You wanted to talk,” she says, sitting next to him.
“Why aren’t you scared of me?” The bluntness doesn’t throw her off anymore. The question does a little, but it makes sense that most people would be scared, and she should probably be too.
“You’re not very scary.”
That causes his lips to twitch up. Which is a score in her book because she has never seen him smile. But she wants to see it more.
“Most people hate being in my presence, but you don’t seem phased whatsoever, you don’t feel anything when you’re near me?” He gives her a deadpan look.
“Okay, yes, I do get a feeling, but I’m not scared of it.” She wants to ask why it’s so bad, but she doesn’t want him to run off.
“You’re not?” He asks shocked
She shakes her head
“You’re not scared of me at all?”
“No, I mean I feel uneasy but not scared, more just the feeling of the unknown, which doesn’t make sense because I mean you’re just another guy, like I don’t have a reason to feel so weird.”
“You get a feeling of unease and just assume I’m just another guy, nothing weird going on?” He has a slight smirk on his face. And when Y/N really looks at him, she sees his normally green eyes have a slight red tint, and maybe if she really focuses, he has pointy teeth. But she’s looking at him, so maybe subconsciously she’s looking for something off, so her mind is playing tricks on her.
“Trust your eyes, Y/N. I will see you during my walk,” he gets up and leaves with the smirk still on his face.
What the fuck was that she thinks to herself.
~~~
The first thing she does when she gets home is go to call her best friend Niall. They met at orientation for college and have been best friends since, but something stopped her. Harry, from her understanding, doesn’t really seem to care for most people, and he at least semi cares for her enough to talk to her, and she doesn’t want to ruin that trust, so she decides against it. So, she decides to do her missing assignments as she’s waiting for Harry to pass by during his walk. It’s only like 4, so he won’t be walking for another few hours, but she has a lot of missing work.
Once night hits, she knows Harry will be by soon. And that’s another thing; he only ever walks at night. She has never seen him go on one of his walks during the day. Maybe he’s a night owl, but it adds to the weirdness of it.
She casually walks out of her house to “throw some trash away", once she sees him coming from down the sidewalk.
Once he walks up to her, he says, “Don't be nervous, I can hear your heart beating.”
“Okay, what the hell, Harry, you can hear my heartbeat? And what was that at the cafe?”
“What do you think it was?” He asks genuinely.
“I don't know, but it’s weird.”
“Well, look it up, from what you saw at the cafe, and from what I've told you or what you have acquired from when you've seen me.
And she does, from the slightly red eyes to the pointy teeth, to hearing her heartbeat, and everything else; the first link is to Reddit, asking what vampire myths are true.
I look at him with a blank expression, “Be so for real right now.”
“Well?”
“So, you expect me to think you're a vampire because you’re a little weird, no offense though.”
“If that's what it says, it must be true,” he smirking at her with a teasing look in his eyes. She has never seen him have more emotion than when he's poking fun at her.
“Then how come you've never sucked my blood? We’ve been alone so many times”.
“I’m not evil, I would never just take from someone, that's assault.”
The genuine offense in his voice throws her off and makes her pause because there's no way, right?
“You’re actually...” She’s frozen in place; she should run, but she can’t. Not only that, but for the first time ever, Harry looks nervous. She always thought vampires were a myth because why would they be real?
“You’re the only human that knows. The only one I wanted to find out.”
“Why me?”
“You’re not the only one getting a feeling, Y/N. You think I randomly found you. Something about you makes me want to be around you.”
A vampire wants to be around her, and they both get this feeling.
“What does that mean?” She thinks she should be more nervous than she is, but she can't find herself to be.
“I guess we’ll have to find out. I’ll see you around Y/N,” and he leaves at that. She doesn’t even try to stop him, knowing there's no use. She doesn’t know how to feel about this. She's not exactly scared; she feels this pull towards him, and somehow, knowing what he is makes the unease drop, but the feeling to be near him is just as strong. It's all too much to think about; She doesn’t understand what her life is right now.
~~~
Harry has never been attracted to a Human before. Of course, he's seen attractive ones, but he’s never been attached like this. Never a feeling to where he needs to be near her, wants to be even.
But this girl, Y/N, needs to be near her, and now that she knows his secret, it's going to amplify. It doesn’t help that she's not fazed by any of this. And if she is, she hides it well. It would help if she weren’t all cute and soft. She's very sweet, too. Most people brush him off or stare because he can admit he is a little creepy, his vibe, he means, he's a vampire, what would they expect? But her, she is sweet to him, and if his heart was still beating, it would definitely be fluttering. And she didn’t seem creeped out by him, which slightly concerns him because he hopes she wouldn't let this slide with anyone else. But he shakes the thoughts from his head. He can’t fall for her; she’s a human for one, and she’s probably in shock. Once reality hits, she’ll be gone. The hopeful part of him thinks maybe she won’t run, and she won't be terrified of him.
He wants to have a proper talk with her, just to explain more because he loves her confused face, but she really does deserve to know, since she is kind of involved. He decides he’ll pop over during her shift tomorrow and see if she wants to chat.
It’s been about 2 weeks since Harry and Y/N made it official, and things have been going great so far. They’ve been consistent with their dates and hangouts, so he's continued to come over a few more times, but Y/N has still never been to Harry's house, but she doesn’t mind having him at hers.
Today, they had plans for Harry to come over, have a nice homemade dinner courtesy of Y/N, play some games, and maybe watch a movie. Her stomach flutters in excitement at the thought of seeing him, even though it’s only been a few days. She doesn’t want to seem obsessive, but she just wants to be around him all the time. He is such a good man, and that is hard to come by, so she thinks her emotions are valid because he’s hers, and she feels so lucky. The little tiff they had helped them grow closer in the relationship since they had to be vulnerable with each other. It’s like this wall has been broken down, and it being so soon in their relationship just made it feel easier. Especially that time Harry got that little furrow in his brow on their last date. The waiter had called her pretty. But she guesses that time was valid; if there is a clear man in front of her, why even try to flirt?
But here she is, preparing dinner for Harry and herself. She went shopping after work to ensure she had the freshest ingredients. She is making lemon, garlic salmon, mashed potatoes, and grilled veggies. She enjoys cooking, but doesn't get to do it often, partly because she is lazy, so she hopes Harry enjoys it.
The second she got home, she started: washing the vegetables, peeling the potatoes, and allowing the salmon to marinate.
She took the time while the salmon was marinating to get ready. She had told Harry to dress chill, so sweats or something. She went with a t-shirt that had cats doing yoga on it, (She had gotten it from one of her older co-workers, who's been a teacher for some 30-odd years, and she said ‘ I saw this and thought you would love it’, so Y/N tries to wear it every so often or she’ll feel guilty) and sleep shorts; she doesn’t like sleeping in pant because they ride up.
After she’s freshened up, she goes back to the food, boiling and icing the potatoes, cutting and sautéing the vegetables, and putting the salmon in the oven. Once it was almost ready, waiting on the potatoes to get creamy enough, she got a knock on her door. She rushes over to get it, her heart pulsing with excitement. She feels like a schoolgirl whose crush just sat with her at lunch.
She opens the door, revealing Harry looking extra comfy in pajama pants and a worn shirt. “I decided to forgo the flowers and got you some fuzzy socks instead; I thought it matched the vibe better.” That made her heart flutter. He is so thoughtful, she just wants to swallow him whole.
She leans up, pecking his lips, “It’s perfect, H, thank you”.
They walk back towards the kitchen, Harry speaking up, “Do you need any help with dinner?” He looks over at the counter, seeing all the food she is preparing.
“No, thank you, it’s almost done,” he nodded at her words settling on top of the counter. He watches as she pulls out the salmon a few moments later, his mouth watering at the sight.
“Okay, it’s all done, just got hot, but I’ll plate it.”
“Let me set the table for you,” Harry says, genuinely. That’s another thing Y/N really likes about him. He’s very helpful. He’s very gentlemanly. He always wants to give her a hand even if she doesn’t need it, and he knows she doesn’t need it, but he still wants to offer it.
Once the table is set, Y/N starts plating the food for both of them. “If you’re still hungry after feel free to grab more.”
He nods with a smile as they sit down. The food is steaming, bubbling hot, so they talk about their days as it cools. Both of their days were pretty typical. He had a meeting, and she was dealing with tiny monsters. But the food finally cooled off enough for them to eat.
“This is delicious,” Harry mumbles over a mouthful of food. “Like seriously, this is better than the food at the restaurants, and I’m not just kissing your ass”.
“Well, I'm glad you like it.”
They finish the meal, and Harry demands that he do the dishes since she cooked, and she lets him with no complaints. (She HATES doing dishes.)
Once everything was cleaned up, they decided to play Mario Kart on his Nintendo he told her he would bring.
He ended up losing every round they played, “for someone who’s so competitive, you’re not very good at this game,” Y/N jokes at him.
She looks outside, “It looks like it's going to rain.”
“Yeah, hopefully it won't be too bad.”
They snuggled up and started watching a movie. And not even halfway through, it starts thundering. It catches Y/N off guard, causing her to flinch, but Harry kisses the side of her head in a calming manner.
Throughout the movie, the rain just kept getting worse.
“I don't think it's safe for you to drive home tonight”. Y/N is definitely a paranoid person, always worried the worst will happen, but this time she believes it's valid. It's storming outside, and she just wants him to be safe. Plus, maybe it wouldn't hurt if he spent the night, just to keep him safe, not because having a warm bed sounds nice or anything. “You're welcome to spend the night; I wouldn't mind the company.”
“You know what, I'll take you up on that.”
She leans in, kissing him more deeply this time, but not to initiate anything. “Good”.
Once the movie's over, they just watch TV for a while. They take a small intermission to eat some ice cream, but before they know it, it's 11 pm.
“They canceled work for me tomorrow, too many power outages,” Y/N mutters, looking at her phone.
“Yeah, tech guy just emailed me he got a call from the power company; power's out for me too, I’ll tell employees to work from home.”
“Well, it’s almost my bedtime, so I’m going to get ready for bed,” Y/N says, stretching up as Harry joins her. She invites him to use any of her products she has and gives him a toothbrush.
“You have a bedtime?” He raises his brows.
“Yes, I have a schedule I put myself on to keep me regulated”.
He just shakes my head as he continues to get ready for bed.
“All set?” She asks as she lies in her bed
He nods as he stands there, hesitantly.
“You can come into the bed h” she giggles.
“I wasn’t sure if you wanted me to sleep next to you.”
She rolls her eyes at him but lifts the blanket anyway. “I sleep with the TV on, I hope that’s okay,” he nods and lies next to her.
He assured her it’s fine and turns on his side towards her; she does the same.
He looks so different in this way. Yes, he is still the man she is dating, but he looks so soft and vulnerable when he's sleepy.
“You look cute, sleepy,” she says as she kisses the tip of his nose.
“You look quite cute yourself, sweetheart,” he resorts.
She pulls him so his head is on her chest, and she runs her fingers through his hair. And his hair is so soft, like baby soft.
He hums as her fingers work, eyes closing, “keep this up and I'm going to fall ‘sleep”. He mumbles, but he's already halfway asleep.
“That's okay, good night, Harry.” This would normally be the part where they say “I love you, but it's too soon for that and she doesn't feel that way for him yet, so she kisses his forehead as he mumbles out a good night and lets himself relax.
She holds him closer as Harry's eyes droop down and he falls asleep; she couldn't help but think how lucky she is to have him. Normally, she would be thrown off by the change of plans, but not with him. It’s weird that in the right relationship, you find yourself doing things you don’t like or wouldn’t normally do, without complaints. She really cares about him and knows he feels the same, so she falls asleep peacefully with him in her arms
I wrote this quickly, but I hope you guys like it!! Feel free to add anything to my requests!

~~~
As promised, she finds herself walking through the cafe doors the next day, ready with her review. The muffin was delicious, of course it was, Harry made it. She would eat a burnt chocolate chip if he were the one who burned it.
"Morning Sunny", he says extra perky, "I'm expecting a full and detailed review." He has a huge smile plastered on his face as he speaks; that makes her heart flutter. It's crazy that something as small as a smile has her whole emotional system rebooting.
"Good morning, Harry." Her voice came out soft. "The muffin was amazing" " she starts,
"The flavors went nicely together, and the cranberries weren't bitter or sour. It might be one of my new favorites." And she's not lying; this is probably her new favorite. He genuinely is an amazing baker, but she did want to gas him up a bit too.
"Seriously?", he asks and she nods as he continues, "That actually makes me really happy. It was my first time making this flavor altogether; his eyes sparkled a little more as he thanked her. It makes her heart warm knowing something as little as a compliment makes him that happy. (And he's already preparing her drink)
"I'll take it for here today" " she normally doesn't sit down and have her coffee, but since she has a free day, she decides to plus maybe she'll be able to talk to him a little longer and get to know him better.
He nods, as he puts her drink in one of the mugs. "You don't work today?", he asks casually.
"No, I have the day off, they're doing maintenance in the building." She responds.
"That's nice" he pauses, like he's in thought, "Mind if I join you?" He asks slightly nervously. And she has to act like she isn't slightly freaking out.
"No, of course not!", he smiles as he pours himself a coffee as well, bringing two muffins and both drinks to a table. They sit across from each other. She decides to be bold and slide in the fact that she's never seen him make drinks for anything else. "So how much do they have you doing here, you're a barista and a baker?" She tries to sound casual but is probably severely failing.
"Oh, um, not actually. I'm only a baker", his cheeks turn bright red, knowing he's been caught. But she doesn't comment on it, just smiles at him. She knows he's probably a little embarrassed and as much as she wants to, she doesn't push.
They continue to chat about other things. Like their hobbies, interests, and pets, and find out they both have a cat. Harry has a black, fluffy cat named Midnight (which she thought was a little basic as a name, and she has a calico named Vincent. (Harry thought it was weird to name him a human name, but for one most calicoes are girls, so people need to know he's a boy, and two he's a distinguished gentleman, therefore a proper name)
Once their mugs were empty, and the muffins were eaten, Y/N speaks, pushing her nerves aside.
"Harry?" She speaks up, looking at him. She's painfully reminded of how good he looks.
He is so handsome it hurts, but if she thinks about that too much, she won't get what she has to say out.
He looks at her intently, "Yeah?"
"Will you go on a date with me?" She asks. She decided there's a reason he is doing the things he is, so she's going to take a chance. The worst thing that happens is she finds a new cafe to go to and forgets about his existence and this moment. And maybe that's a little dramatic, but she can't handle the embarrassment. She can't even handle second-hand embarrassment, let alone firsthand. But at the same time, she really wants this
"Dammit, I wanted to ask you first", he said but had a goofy smile on his face as he softly shook his head in disbelief, "But yes, I. Will go out with you.
It’s been about 2 weeks since Harry and Y/N made it official, and things have been going great so far. They’ve been consistent with their dates and hangouts, so he's continued to come over a few more times, but Y/N has still never been to Harry's house, but she doesn’t mind having him at hers.
Today, they had plans for Harry to come over, have a nice homemade dinner courtesy of Y/N, play some games, and maybe watch a movie. Her stomach flutters in excitement at the thought of seeing him, even though it’s only been a few days. She doesn’t want to seem obsessive, but she just wants to be around him all the time. He is such a good man, and that is hard to come by, so she thinks her emotions are valid because he’s hers, and she feels so lucky. The little tiff they had helped them grow closer in the relationship since they had to be vulnerable with each other. It’s like this wall has been broken down, and it being so soon in their relationship just made it feel easier. Especially that time Harry got that little furrow in his brow on their last date. The waiter had called her pretty. But she guesses that time was valid; if there is a clear man in front of her, why even try to flirt?
But here she is, preparing dinner for Harry and herself. She went shopping after work to ensure she had the freshest ingredients. She is making lemon, garlic salmon, mashed potatoes, and grilled veggies. She enjoys cooking, but doesn't get to do it often, partly because she is lazy, so she hopes Harry enjoys it.
The second she got home, she started: washing the vegetables, peeling the potatoes, and allowing the salmon to marinate.
She took the time while the salmon was marinating to get ready. She had told Harry to dress chill, so sweats or something. She went with a t-shirt that had cats doing yoga on it, (She had gotten it from one of her older co-workers, who's been a teacher for some 30-odd years, and she said ‘ I saw this and thought you would love it’, so Y/N tries to wear it every so often or she’ll feel guilty) and sleep shorts; she doesn’t like sleeping in pant because they ride up.
After she’s freshened up, she goes back to the food, boiling and icing the potatoes, cutting and sautéing the vegetables, and putting the salmon in the oven. Once it was almost ready, waiting on the potatoes to get creamy enough, she got a knock on her door. She rushes over to get it, her heart pulsing with excitement. She feels like a schoolgirl whose crush just sat with her at lunch.
She opens the door, revealing Harry looking extra comfy in pajama pants and a worn shirt. “I decided to forgo the flowers and got you some fuzzy socks instead; I thought it matched the vibe better.” That made her heart flutter. He is so thoughtful, she just wants to swallow him whole.
She leans up, pecking his lips, “It’s perfect, H, thank you”.
They walk back towards the kitchen, Harry speaking up, “Do you need any help with dinner?” He looks over at the counter, seeing all the food she is preparing.
“No, thank you, it’s almost done,” he nodded at her words settling on top of the counter. He watches as she pulls out the salmon a few moments later, his mouth watering at the sight.
“Okay, it’s all done, just got hot, but I’ll plate it.”
“Let me set the table for you,” Harry says, genuinely. That’s another thing Y/N really likes about him. He’s very helpful. He’s very gentlemanly. He always wants to give her a hand even if she doesn’t need it, and he knows she doesn’t need it, but he still wants to offer it.
Once the table is set, Y/N starts plating the food for both of them. “If you’re still hungry after feel free to grab more.”
He nods with a smile as they sit down. The food is steaming, bubbling hot, so they talk about their days as it cools. Both of their days were pretty typical. He had a meeting, and she was dealing with tiny monsters. But the food finally cooled off enough for them to eat.
“This is delicious,” Harry mumbles over a mouthful of food. “Like seriously, this is better than the food at the restaurants, and I’m not just kissing your ass”.
“Well, I'm glad you like it.”
They finish the meal, and Harry demands that he do the dishes since she cooked, and she lets him with no complaints. (She HATES doing dishes.)
Once everything was cleaned up, they decided to play Mario Kart on his Nintendo he told her he would bring.
He ended up losing every round they played, “for someone who’s so competitive, you’re not very good at this game,” Y/N jokes at him.
She looks outside, “It looks like it's going to rain.”
“Yeah, hopefully it won't be too bad.”
They snuggled up and started watching a movie. And not even halfway through, it starts thundering. It catches Y/N off guard, causing her to flinch, but Harry kisses the side of her head in a calming manner.
Throughout the movie, the rain just kept getting worse.
“I don't think it's safe for you to drive home tonight”. Y/N is definitely a paranoid person, always worried the worst will happen, but this time she believes it's valid. It's storming outside, and she just wants him to be safe. Plus, maybe it wouldn't hurt if he spent the night, just to keep him safe, not because having a warm bed sounds nice or anything. “You're welcome to spend the night; I wouldn't mind the company.”
“You know what, I'll take you up on that.”
She leans in, kissing him more deeply this time, but not to initiate anything. “Good”.
Once the movie's over, they just watch TV for a while. They take a small intermission to eat some ice cream, but before they know it, it's 11 pm.
“They canceled work for me tomorrow, too many power outages,” Y/N mutters, looking at her phone.
“Yeah, tech guy just emailed me he got a call from the power company; power's out for me too, I’ll tell employees to work from home.”
“Well, it’s almost my bedtime, so I’m going to get ready for bed,” Y/N says, stretching up as Harry joins her. She invites him to use any of her products she has and gives him a toothbrush.
“You have a bedtime?” He raises his brows.
“Yes, I have a schedule I put myself on to keep me regulated”.
He just shakes my head as he continues to get ready for bed.
“All set?” She asks as she lies in her bed
He nods as he stands there, hesitantly.
“You can come into the bed h” she giggles.
“I wasn’t sure if you wanted me to sleep next to you.”
She rolls her eyes at him but lifts the blanket anyway. “I sleep with the TV on, I hope that’s okay,” he nods and lies next to her.
He assured her it’s fine and turns on his side towards her; she does the same.
He looks so different in this way. Yes, he is still the man she is dating, but he looks so soft and vulnerable when he's sleepy.
“You look cute, sleepy,” she says as she kisses the tip of his nose.
“You look quite cute yourself, sweetheart,” he resorts.
She pulls him so his head is on her chest, and she runs her fingers through his hair. And his hair is so soft, like baby soft.
He hums as her fingers work, eyes closing, “keep this up and I'm going to fall ‘sleep”. He mumbles, but he's already halfway asleep.
“That's okay, good night, Harry.” This would normally be the part where they say “I love you, but it's too soon for that and she doesn't feel that way for him yet, so she kisses his forehead as he mumbles out a good night and lets himself relax.
She holds him closer as Harry's eyes droop down and he falls asleep; she couldn't help but think how lucky she is to have him. Normally, she would be thrown off by the change of plans, but not with him. It’s weird that in the right relationship, you find yourself doing things you don’t like or wouldn’t normally do, without complaints. She really cares about him and knows he feels the same, so she falls asleep peacefully with him in her arms
I wrote this today kinda quickly, so I hope you like it! I have a Blind date blurb i'll post soon as well.
Please like and reblog if possible and let me know if you want more of them!
The wind brushes against her, goosebumps rising on her arm in the night air. It’s not ideal that she’s outside, but unfortunately, someone has to throw out the trash, and she lives alone.
A rush of unease fills her, but she knows that feeling. She turns around to see Harry on his nightly walk. She honestly isn’t sure if he lives in her neighborhood or not, but she doesn’t question it.
“Hello Y/N. Have a good day?” He’s always nice and respectful; he never does anything weird. Just whenever he’s near her, she gets this overwhelming sense of unease, but also attraction, almost like she has to be near him. She thinks maybe that causes the unease. Why does she want to be around this man so much? It’s not like she has a crush on him. This is a completely different feeling.
“Hi Harry. I had a good day, lots of customers, but that’s expected during this time.”
He nods and says,” Maybe I’ll stop by tomorrow,” then leaves, continuing his walk. He’s visited her work a few times, but most people have; she works at a café, so a lot of familiar people come in. But he always leaves her a nice tip.
Maybe some people would find it weird that a random man shows up at her work, then suddenly her house is on his walking route, when he’s kind of came out of nowhere, but she’s never felt unsafe or in danger with him. Maybe he’s just an awkward individual, which is okay. Y/N feels awkward half the time, so she doesn’t judge. The only thing she will judge him for is the fact she saw him in shirts and a tank top when it was literally 10 degrees, but she guesses that’s a separate issue.
She goes back inside, shutting the door before the cold got in. She had a few assignments to take care of, and it wasn’t too late, so she got them out the way, ate half a tub of ice cream, which she will regret in the morning. Which she doesn’t understand because she’s not lactose intolerant, but maybe it’s all the sugar or something.
She goes to bed, leaving her assignments unfinished, but they’re not due for another two days, so she’ll be fine.
~~~
~~~
The first thing she does when she gets home is go to call her best friend Niall. They met at orientation for college and have been best friends since, but something stopped her. Harry, from her understanding, doesn’t really seem to care for most people, and he at least semi cares for her enough to talk to her, and she doesn’t want to ruin that trust, so she decides against it. So, she decides to do her missing assignments as she’s waiting for Harry to pass by during his walk. It’s only like 4, so he won’t be walking for another few hours, but she has a lot of missing work.
Once night hits, she knows Harry will be by soon. And that’s another thing; he only ever walks at night. She has never seen him go on one of his walks during the day. Maybe he’s a night owl, but it adds to the weirdness of it.
She casually walks out of her house to “throw some trash away", once she sees him coming from down the sidewalk.
Once he walks up to her, he says, “Don't be nervous, I can hear your heart beating.”
“Okay, what the hell, Harry, you can hear my heartbeat? And what was that at the cafe?”
“What do you think it was?” He asks genuinely.
“I don't know, but it’s weird.”
“Well, look it up, from what you saw at the cafe, and from what I've told you or what you have acquired from when you've seen me.
And she does, from the slightly red eyes to the pointy teeth, to hearing her heartbeat, and everything else; the first link is to Reddit, asking what vampire myths are true.
I look at him with a blank expression, “Be so for real right now.”
“Well?”
“So, you expect me to think you're a vampire because you’re a little weird, no offense though.”
“If that's what it says, it must be true,” he smirking at her with a teasing look in his eyes. She has never seen him have more emotion than when he's poking fun at her.
“Then how come you've never sucked my blood? We’ve been alone so many times”.
“I’m not evil, I would never just take from someone, that's assault.”
The genuine offense in his voice throws her off and makes her pause because there's no way, right?
“You’re actually...” She’s frozen in place; she should run, but she can’t. Not only that, but for the first time ever, Harry looks nervous. She always thought vampires were a myth because why would they be real?
“You’re the only human that knows. The only one I wanted to find out.”
“Why me?”
“You’re not the only one getting a feeling, Y/N. You think I randomly found you. Something about you makes me want to be around you.”
A vampire wants to be around her, and they both get this feeling.
“What does that mean?” She thinks she should be more nervous than she is, but she can't find herself to be.
“I guess we’ll have to find out. I’ll see you around Y/N,” and he leaves at that. She doesn’t even try to stop him, knowing there's no use. She doesn’t know how to feel about this. She's not exactly scared; she feels this pull towards him, and somehow, knowing what he is makes the unease drop, but the feeling to be near him is just as strong. It's all too much to think about; She doesn’t understand what her life is right now.
~~~
I said the title once in the story, then decided it sounded like a good title
Sorry for any mistakes, this one might have a lot 😭

Y/N never thought she would become this desperate, but alas, here she is, waiting for her possible Sugar daddy to arrive. She never had anything against people who had one; she even made jokes about it, but when it came down to actually getting one, it was embarrassing. She’s at a place where she really needs help, and has no family to rely on, so a sugar daddy it is.
The interest rate on her loans is crazy; at this pace, she will never be able to pay them off. And her shitty apartment isn’t doing it for her anymore. Her locks don’t work, and the landlord said he’ll charge her a crazy high fee if she changes them without his permission, as it violates the contract she signed. The electricity goes in and out, and she hasn’t had a hot shower in three months.
And yeah, she could get a second job, but being a pediatric nurse is extremely draining at times. So generically, she found a trusted website that matches sugar, daddies, and babies. There were a lot of duds, a lot of creeps, and some very weird fetishes, but then she came across someone named Harry.
He seems respectful enough, and he’s handsome, so that’s a plus. He’s not one of those really old men; he’s only in his early thirties, which is nice. From their conversation, it seems like he’s lonely, and he loves buying stuff for people, so he wants someone to spoil, she guesses. He asked what she mainly needed help with, and she explained her situation. He said if it all goes well on their date, they will form an arrangement where he will pay off her loans and move her into a better apartment, as long as she spends 3 nights with him a week and goes to events with him as his dates. This is all under a contract, of course, that he’ll bring with him, and she can read over. And that honestly sounds suspiciously good and helpful for such little effort on her part.
She had gotten to the restaurant a little early, just to mentally prepare herself.
To add, this is probably the most expensive restaurant in a 30 mile radius.
Her knee bounces under the time as the time of their date approaches; she almost wants to bail, but she really does need the help.
Suddenly, the doors opened, he had requested a private room so nobody would bother them, and Harry stepped in.
"Hey, love, how are you?" He asked gently, and Y/N was kind of surprised. She wouldn't expect him to sound so soft-spoken. She expected him to sound firm and authoritative.
"I'm good, how are you?
He shakes her hand; she thinks that's kind of professional, but this is kind of a business deal, since they could sign a contract, so she guesses it makes sense.
He sits down, tells her he's doing well, and asks if she has had a chance to look over the menu. Which of course she did, she looked over the menu before she came, so she wouldn't sit here staring at it for an hour, but she just nodded.
"You don't have to be nervous, Y/N. This is a mutually beneficial arrangement; no need to worry." Again, he is so gentle and kind, it's throwing her for a loop, that voice is doing things to her, and it shouldn't be. " Would it help if we just go straight to it and save the small talk for later?"
She nods at that because, yes, that would help ease her anxieties.
"Alright, so I know we talked over text, but can you just explain more about what you need help with financially?"
"Well, I have a lot of student loans, and I guess I used some shady companies because their interest rate is ridiculously high, and I can't pay for that and my rent at the same time. As for my apartment, the locks don't really work, and the door gets jammed. The hot water broke a few months ago, and the electricity goes in and out a few times a week. I'm a nurse, so I need electricity when I have to answer patients' questions.
"Okay, those all sound very fixable things. I can help you with that. What's it like being a nurse?
"It can be hard and draining, especially since I'm in pediatrics. Seeing kids hurt and sick isn't fun but being able to help them conquer the fear they have about the doctors is rewarding. I just love helping people, especially children. I try to babysit on the side as well, but I normally have to work back to back 12-hour shifts for a day, sometimes a week at a time, to just afford the basics, you know."
He nods in understanding. "I'm truly sorry that sucks. Working as much as you can and not being able to live comfortably is ridiculous.
Y/N just nods in response. As the waiter comes to take our orders. Once the waiter is gone, Harry turns back to me.
"So, it's no secret I'm lonely, I've come to terms with it, it's kind of embarrassing, but it is what it is. I want to find someone I can take care of and spoil because it's something I enjoy doing, but I also want that person to semi-care about me or at least pretend to. And that's honestly hard to find if that even makes sense. " Y/N almost feels bad for even being here; he sounds so vulnerable and has to pay someone to be with him to have someone, but she has hoped they will form a genuine bond.
"I can do that, I mean, you don't seem like a bad person, so I think being with you won't be an issue." Y/N gives him a soft smile.
Throughout the rest of the date, they spend time learning the basics of each other. And honestly, they have a good conversation, even as the food arrives and they start eating, they click well, so maybe this arrangement won't be too bad.
"Okay," Harry mutters once they've both finished eating, "did you want an arrangement because if so, we can finalize this now".
Usually, this kind of sudden decision-making would stress her out, but this time she takes a leap of faith and says, "Yeah, now is good."
He nods and calls his lawyer, and before she knows it, she's reading the contract; she's not stupid, so she's taking her time, making sure nothing shady is going on. It says either one of us can end it at any time for any reason, which makes her feel comfortable. Once she's accepted what she read, she signs the contract, as did Harry.
His lawyer leaves, and Harry turns to me." I own an apartment complex, so I can get you moved into there tomorrow if you're free." She nods, confirming she is. " But, until then, I can get you a nice hotel with locking doors, hot water, and stable electricity."
She confirms with that plan before Harry slides a black card to her, his credit card. Yes, that was in the contract, but actually having all this money in her hands is gratifying.
The next thing she knows, she is in a car going to the hotel room Harry booked, after she had gone to her apartment to pack an overnight bag. She takes her first hot shower in months, then lies in bed.
She got a text from Harry.
I'm very happy you accepted. Tomorrow I can have some movers bring all your stuff to the apartment of your choice, then I can take you shopping?
Yeah, that sounds good, just let me know when!
Y/N goes to be with a lot of thoughts in her mind. This isn't somewhere she would've ever pictured herself being, and she isn’t sure how to feel, but a part of her feels hopeful, like maybe this will go well, and they'll become friends and have a real bond. At the very least she’ll get temporary support.
Y/N is going to Harry's house today, and he couldn't be more nervous.
Sure, he's had people at his house before, but this is Y/N, his girlfriend; he wants everything to be perfect. He wants her to feel comfortable here, like he does at her house. So, he wanted to change a few things for her. His house is modern and doesn't have much color, not like hers, at least. He added some cute throw pillows and blankets to make it feel more at home for her. The last thing he wants is for her to feel like a stranger in his house because she is far from one. He even bought some cat paintings to put in his living room and bedroom.
He's pacing around his living room, waiting for her arrival. “What if she thinks I'm a rich dick?” He thinks to himself, insecurities flood his mind, but he shakes them away. They've spent a lot of time together. He knows she doesn't care about his money.
And on top of that, he's running behind. The meeting at work went on much longer than expected, so he didn't have time to fully prepare.
A knock on the door brings him out of his thoughts. He rushes over to let her in, taking a deep breath before opening the door.
“Hey, love, don't you look pretty?” And she really does. Her hair is in French braids with two pieces framing her face. She had done a light, natural makeup look today.
“Thank you, Harry. You look very handsome,” She reaches up, kissing him, and he doesn’t think he'll ever fully get used to her lips on his, so soft and plush. “But I didn't know we were dressing up tonight”.
“Oh, you look beautiful, lovie, I didn't take my work clothes off, the meeting ran long,” he says bashfully.
“Oh, we could have rescheduled if you needed to,” he firmly shakes his head at the. No way would he have done that and miss the opportunity to see her.
“Well, for what it's worth, you look very good right now,” she says, fidgeting with his tie.
“Yeah?” she nods at that as she goes further inside, passing him a sly smile.
She looks around his house with big eyes. “Oh wow, your place is huge, it must be so hard to cl- Oh, I love this blanket, it's a little artist cat painting, that's so cute.”
“Got it for you, want you to feel at home”. She assures him he didn’t have to change anything for her, but made sure he knew how much she appreciated it and would definitely be using it.
He sits on the couch next to her, and she can’t stop staring at him.
“What's wrong?”
“You just look really good in a suit”.
He positions himself closer to her, “Hmm, you already said that, my love,” he teases.
“Come ‘ere, wanna kiss you some more”. The tension in the room has shifted, even more so when she moves closer to him and connects their lips. The kiss starts soft and tentative; their lips move slowly against each other. Her fingers move to his hair, slightly tugging on the roots, causing him to groan, on her lips turn it lustful. He takes his time licking her bottom lip, nibbling on it before pulling back for air. “Love your hot little mouth, pretty girl.” He pecks her lips, wanting more, “Want more?”
“Please.” At her words, he presses his lips back to hers. His hands move to her waist, tugging her over, so she's now on his lap, for better access. The kiss did not break once. Once atop his lap, he rests his hand on her side as she pulls him closer. Her soft moans cause his cock to start plumping in his slacks. He licks into her mouth, rubbing his tongue against hers, moaning as she lets him take what he wants. She adjusts on his lap, grinding over his hardening prick. Y/N moans out as she makes contact.
“Take what you need, baby, grind that pretty pussy on me.”
She wastes no time, grinding directly on his hard-on. The kiss is now a sloppy mess as their lips tangle together. He pulls away to watch how she moves on him. She wines at the disconnect.
“Don't be greedy.” His hands grip her waist, helping her grind against him, letting out soft groans himself as she moves over him. "Tell me how it feels”.
“S-so good”
“Stop, baby, wanna do something for you?” Her grinding comes to a stop as she pulls back and looks at him expectantly. She looks at him with a blissful expression. “What's the look for? I've barely touched you, baby.”
“Just felt good.”
“Yeah? Can I make you feel ever better, wanna taste you, do you want that?” She nods in response.
“Nope, need to hear you, know you can speak.”
“Yes, I want that.”
He presses his lips back to hers, fidgeting with the end of her sweater. She pulls it off, leaving her in her bra and leggings. “Fuck baby, can I touch you?” His desire is strong as he looks at her breasts sitting perfectly in her bra. It's nothing special, simple, black, but she could be wearing a bag, and he would want her just as bad. She moans out a soft ‘yes,’ and he kisses her neck. His lips are firm as he finds her sweet spot, sucking it enough to feel good, but not enough to leave a mark. He continues a line of kisses down to the tops of her breasts.
“Take it off, want to feel you more,” she whines, and he obliges with no hesitation, reaching back and unhooking her bra. He watches as her breasts fall out of their hold; her nipples harden as the cooler air hits them. She looks so hot like this, he thinks to himself. He can't take his eyes off her.
“Fuck, you're beautiful,” he says as he runs his hands over her. He starts kissing at the top of her breast, sucking a hickey there, where no one else can see it. That fills him with possession. Only he can see her like this or have her like this. “You’re mine”. He sucks her nipple into his mouth, slightly nibbling on it. Her soft moans fill his ears as he uses his other hand to softly pinch her other breast. He doesn’t want to do too much since this is their first time being intimate with each other. They’ll have a proper conversation, and kinks and whatnot later.
“Lay back, baby,” she does as he says, lying back on the couch as he starts kissing down her chest, to her stomach. This caused her to squirm with a slight giggle. “Ticklish?”
“A bit, yeah”, he just smirks at her and continues until he reaches the waistband of her leggings.
“I’m going to be honest with you, love. I want to taste you so bad.” He can’t remember the last time he wanted someone this bad. He had forgone hookups when he got out of college, and he doesn’t get into as many relationships as people think. Sure, he would form arrangements with someone, but it was always casual. Never to this point, where he was salivating at the thought of eating her out.
“Please, I want you so bad too, please don’t tease me.”
“And why shouldn't I tease you?” Normally, Harry is really into edging, or he would tease her, but he wants this just as bad, so he'll give in this time.
“Because I’ve been so good for you.” His cock lurches at her words.
“You’ve been a very good girl, Y/N, so as a reward, let me make you feel good.”
He wastes no time pulling down her leggings and dropping them on the floor. He lines himself up, so he's at eye level to her heat. He licks over the damp spot on her underwear, moaning at the taste. “Fuck you taste so good, baby,” he mumbles, licking up and down her underwear. She starts squirming, so he takes that as his cue to pull her under where off, and when he does so, he almost comes at the sight.
Her pussy is glossed over with a mix of her wetness and his spit. It's so pretty he can’t help but look and admire it. “You have the prettiest pussy I’ve ever seen, sweetheart. Could look at it all day.” He licks on a big strip from her hole up to her clit. She moans out at the contact. He continues his licking, tasting her, dipping his tongue inside of her. She lets out a sharp gasp at his actions, digging her hands in his hair for something to grab on to. "That's right, baby, tug on my hair,” he groans. She tastes so good; he could have his head between her thighs for hours if he could.
He licks back up to her now engorged clit, sucking on it, her moans getting louder as he applies more pressure. She moves her hips against his tongue. “That's a good baby, grind on my face”. He lays his togue out flat, and she moves her pussy against it. He started rubbing her hard cock against the couch, he feels like a horny teenage humping his couch like this, but she just tastes so good, and her moans of our bliss are turning him on.
“I m-I’m gonna come,” her voice more exasperated as she's reaching her end. He holds her hips down, stopping her grinds, as he takes back over. He puts his attention back on her hole, his nose rubbing on her clit. The slickness leaking down her chin. Her legs start shaking, and her moans are getting breathless, and she's about to finish.
“Come for me, baby, all over my tongue.” At his words, she lets go, moaning out, and her legs shaking, as she releases her come dripping onto Harry's tongue. His grinds get stronger as she comes. He groans against her as he starts to reach his end. Her tugging his hair sends him over the edge, moaning out, as he buries his face in her thigh. He would be embarrassed if it didn’t feel so good.
“Fuck, you okay, baby”. She nods as she's now softly running her fingers through his hair. He scoots up, squeezing himself next to her on the couch. She turns around, so they're facing each other.
“You’re amazing, H.” he smirks at her words. “Don’t be so cocky”
“I'm glad you enjoyed it, baby” he says more genuinely as he kisses her forehead.
“Can I return the favor?” She asks, causing a blush to fill his cheeks.
“I kind of already finished, I really enjoyed that”
“Next time then, yeah”
“Yeah, but let's order some food now, we worked up an appetite”.
The morning light filters in the room. Y/N whines as she shoves her face in Harry’s chest, under the blanket.
“You’re always so cranky in the morning.” his words are teasing, but that doesn’t stop the fond expression on his face. Even through the slight grouch, she always looks cute in the mornings. Her puffy eyes, the slight pout, and her little huffs as she gained consciousness.
"I wouldn't be grouchy if it weren't so bright and cold. I hate winter. Why do I have to wake up to frozen toes?" Her grumbles come through muffled from under the blanket. He giggles at her. In the years they've been together, she has never been a morning person.
He pulls it off her face, causing it to scrunch up, but he just sighs out a laugh. He will never get tired of seeing her like this. Being able to wake up next to her every day is a blessing in itself.
He leans down, kissing her nose, "Did you sleep well?"
"Yeah, did you?" he just nods in response as he places another kiss on her forehead.
For a few minutes, they just lay together, snuggled up, breathing in each other.
"I'm doing it today." He says Determined. "I'm ready".
"Yeah, you're gonna release it?" she asks. She knows he had a little video from the last Love On Tour show he's been working on, but he's been waiting for the right time to release it.
He nods, tracing the curves of her face. "I just miss my fan so much, I miss performing, the break was amazing, you know. I really needed it, but I'm ready to start coming back, even if it's something small."
"Well, they're gonna love it, H". She pecks his cheek. She has never been prouder of someone. In the time they've been together, he has accomplished so much, and her heart is so full of pure pride when she looks at him. Every award, every song, movie, anything he does, she will support him in. And she knows he feels the same about her. It is so refreshing to be in a relationship where you never have to worry about the other not supporting you over something.
"They're gonna flip the fuck out, you know that, right ?" She knows his fans have a history of going crazy when Harry moves, so she knows this is going to be entertaining to watch.
"Oh, most definitely," he chuckles out. "I'm excited to see how this plays out."
He wraps his arms around her tighter, now placing a quick peck on her lips. "I love you, sweet girl. I one hundred percent couldn't do this without you. My biggest supporter."
"I think your mom might have that place, but I'll take it." He just huffs out a laugh as he pulls her closer, if that's possible.
"Maybe after I brake the internet, we can go out for dinner?"
This is her fifth time asking him. They had a date planned today and Harry promised he wouldn't cancel this time, but of course an hour before they had it leave he had to “send a few emails”. But now, here they are all dressed up and he's held up in his office. He claims she comes first in his life, but when it does this it just make was her feel like shit because she clearly isn't.
She waits another 10 minutes, which by now they've missed their reservations, and tries to talk to him.
“Harry could you at least come downstairs? We already missed the reservations.”
“Can you just wait, I'm trying to do something” his voice slightly rough with frustration.
“Why are you getting annoyed with me when I've been waiting for you got over an hour”
“Some of us have responsibility, Y/N.” his voice tense.
That pissed her off beyond belief. Yes, she gets he works, so she’s able to stay home. But she does have responsibilities and he knows that. She had an art career and she makes custom paintings for people and that takes up a lot of her time. She also does a lot of the cooking and such. It’s not that she’s forced to she enjoys it but it’s still something she has become responsible for. Not even that the fact he’s constantly canceling on her.
“Excuse me ? I have plenty of responsibilities, and don’t forget, you’re the one who encouraged me to quit my job and be home like this.” Her voice rises as her anger grows. How dare he act like she doesn’t do anything.
“I’m working my ass off to provide for us, and this is how you thank me? I’m sorry I have things to do so you can live comfortably.”
“Is it such a sin to want to spend time with my husband?”
“Jesus, Y/N. What do you want me I do quit my job?” he snaps
“I never said that but it would be nice for you to make time do me, your wife.”
He runs his hand through his hair and a part of Y/N truly does feel bad for him. He has been extremely stressed recently; work has been hectic, but it still hurts that he is always canceling on her. At this point, she doesn't want to fight with him.
“Whateve Harry” is the last thing she says before storming out. Iron she needs space from him now.
She's still dressed ho in her date clothes so she decides to take herself out. She drives to this little dinner not too far from their house and gets a booth.
Eating alone at some casual dinner isn't how she envisioned the night, and she'd be lying if she said she was enjoying herself.
She scrolls through her phone as she eats her burger and fries. The milkshake she got to cheer her up brought little enjoyment. Arguing with Harry just makes her feel like shit because she loves him more than anything, he just acts so clueless sometimes, and it's frustrating.
Halfway through her meal, the bell rings. There aren't many people in th diner so another presence is obvious.
Suddenly the spot in front of her is filled.
“Y/N?” his voice is much softer this time. She looks up at him and his eyes are bloodshot. People wouldn't think he's much of an emotional person being a tough CEO and all, but he is. He cries every time they argue. Not to say she doesn't, just people wouldn't expect him too as well.
“Im so sorry, baby. I was being a prick.” he sounds genuinely remorseful but she still needs to get her feelings across.
“I know you're sorry, but you have to understand how shitty it feels to constantly he put on the back burner. Not even that for you to act like I don't do anything”
“I have no excuse because I do know how it makes you feel, and I don't want to excuse anything, but it's just that I constantly have this constant anxiety that I'm not doing enough for my company and I'll go bankrupt, then we won't have anything and it'll be my fault. I just need to be perfect 24/7 because one mistake can tank everything.I just always feel the need to check everything I sent, all my numbers, my emails, just anything.” his anxiety is very real and something he's been working hard on. She knows firsthand how hard anxiety is to deal with and she hates that he lives his life constantly in distress over messing up. “ And I'm am truly sorry for acting like you don't do anything because you do, so much. You are what holds this relationship together. You hold me together. We wouldn't be us if you didn't do what you do.”
“I know, honey. And I do understand you're trying, I really do, it's just hard sometimes. It really hurts when you cancel. Not even that, you don't deserve to live like this. I don't want to be constantly riddled with anxiety.”
“I know and I’ll work on it, I promise. I'll talk to someone about my anxiety because this is not fair to you or me”
Y/N knows he means it and for now, that's enough.
She reaches over to laying her hand on top of his. “I love you, Harry, never forget that”
“I love you, more than anything” his voice softer than ever.
“How did you even know I was here?”
“I was driving around and it's hard to ignore all th cat stickers ok your car, so” he shrugs with a lopsided smile as he trailed off.
“Stalker” she jokes but he just brings her hand it his lips and presses a kiss on it.
Harry orders his own meal.
“We can just go home if you want, H. You didn’t need to get anything.”
“I promised you a date, and I need to stick to my promises, all of them.
They continue to eat together in comfortable silence, nothing needed to be said in the moment.
Once home, they decide to go straight to be. Sure, they probably need to have a deeper conversation but right now they just need each other, and that’s all they could ask for
