LOVE OF MY LIFE
You know when you get an idea from the most random of moments in time? That’s how Love of My Life came to me. Started with one quote, then spiralled into this.
If you saw my Instagram stories on Thursday, you may have gotten a hint. But if you missed it:
But literally, it started off with this, then I watched the Britain episode of The Final Table and the chef made people work with peas and honestly it just started me down a path that there was no coming back from.
Now before you run away screaming, I promise you: it’s good. It’s so good. I would not steer you wrong, I promise.
But on a more serious note: with everything happening right now I know it’s hard to find the good things, and I know that this is just a silly little cocktail blog based off of Harry Styles songs, but, if you can, please consider donating to support abortion access across the States. (and if you cannot donate, a signal boost is always welcome):

Thank you again for following along, for your kind words and your support - and I hope you enjoy and don’t run away 😂. Love you all, thank you again, and enjoy.
TO PREP
Snap Pea, Cantaloupe and Cucumber Juice (aka Green Juice)
*This makes enough for two drinks. If you’re making more than two, simply multiply the amounts by two!
1 cup sugar snap peas, washed
1/2 cup cantaloupe, cubed
1/2 cup cucumber, cubed
1/2 cup water
In a blender, combine all ingredients and blend until no chunks remain and becomes liquid. Strain the liquid into a bowl using a fine mesh sieve (or if you don’t have one: cheesecloth or a clean kitchen cloth work wonders - so do coffee filters but it takes a little longer) until all you’re left with is pure liquid. Discard the pulp. Refrigerate! (will last in fridge for about a week)
FOR THE DRINK
Glass: Rocks Ice: Crushed. (I put mine in a ziploc bag and just mashed it with a mallet!)
1.5 oz either Vodka or Gin*
0.5 oz St. Germain
3 oz Green Juice
0.5 oz Lemon Juice
0.5 oz simple syrup (or omit if you prefer to not have it sweetened)
2-3 mint leaves
Soda water (optional)
Garnish: mint & sugar snap pea
In shaker, combine both juices, simple syrup and the mint. Muddle gently until mint is fragrant.
Add Vodka, St. Germain and ice. Seal and shake until container is frosty.
Add crushed ice to rocks glass. Strain cocktail carefully over the ice. Top with soda water.
Garnish with mint leaves & a sugar snap pea!
*Vodka is a neutral alcohol so it won’t really bring out of the other flavours other than the vodka. Gin is a great alcohol to bring out the fresh/herbyness of it all. It really is a preference and 100% up to you!
To make it non alcoholic: All the things except the alcohol. Elderflower syrup is optional, but if you can find it, add less (about 0.25 oz) than you would of the liqueur, as it is quite sweet (or if you like the sweet go for it). Shake, strain, top with soda, voila!
And as always: while I am very happy to share my ideas on here: please don’t steal them as your own! Otherwise: enjoy responsibly and send me pictures if you decide to try it!! I track #hscocktailhour!
Happy Saturday! x
