Can we actually address Toycowboyexpressâs racism now? I donât care if Harmony is a POC, that doesnât put her above criticism or make her incapable of being racist. The whole âindigenous washingâ narrative was gross. Accusing an indigenous person of âstealing representationâ from a design they legally bought and made indigenous, like themselves, is still racist. Iâm indigenous, and this is exactly the kind of behavior that makes me hesitant to be open about my life and culture, especially online. And debating someoneâs âpercentageâ of indigenous vs. white ancestry just because theyâre mixed is genuinely nasty. Just because someone is mixed race doesn't mean you get to openly debate their proximity to whiteness. It shouldnât need to be explained why this is harmful. Harmony is always calling others out for racism, so the same standard applies here. You donât get to preach accountability and then dodge it, or call it harassment the moment your own behavior gets questioned.
