Regardless, adrenaline and fear push forward, and a fluff of pink hair, now bleeding mildly from the forehead, pushes her way to Atomic. She limps slightly, pushing through anybody in her path. Her voice wavers as she speaks, as if she's been crying. ]

Atomic? You here, honey?

(They look up, looking concerned when they notice how upset Haven seems)

[ Haven immediately wraps the little shit in a rib-crushing hug, before remembering his injuries and letting go slightly. She still doesn't notice the trickle of blood down her forehead. Who gives a shit? Atomic is... ok-ish? Not dead. At least not dead.

When the hell did she adopt this kid? She doesn't have a good answer. But she hugs him, tighter than all hell, because she cares about this kid. ]

(They slowly lay back down, clutching their stomach in poorly hidden pain once they're on their side)

[ Haven smiles and walks out in search of food. She comes back with a can of mixed fruit, jaggedly opened and probably taken without making anyone aware. She smiles and sits back down next to Atomic, holding out the fruit. ]

(Xey push themself back up and tales the fruit, too afraid of bothering Haven again to ask for painkillers)

(They eat slowly at first, then eats faster when they realize how hungry they really were)

[ Haven watches, the weight of her injuries finally starting to catch up. Did she break something? She wasn't sure. Everything was almost numb. She didn't mind. Seeing Atomic eating, looking slightly more.. alive. That was enough. She would tough it out. Even as blood and sand dried onto her face. It was all worth it for this guy :D ]

(They pause after scarfing down the fruit to look at Haven, starting to look concerned again)

(Xey managed to find just enough spare batteries in its pocket to get its remaining hearing aid back on, though they're afraid they'll die again while Haven is here)

Regardless, adrenaline and fear push forward, and a fluff of pink hair, now bleeding mildly from the forehead, pushes her way to Atomic. She limps slightly, pushing through anybody in her path. Her voice wavers as she speaks, as if she's been crying. ]
