Carefulness (Or A Lack Thereof) | Aigis + Takao

His laughter puzzled her, even after his words. She did gather the general idea that she was approaching her learning in the wrong way, but she couldn’t figure out what was wrong with it. It was more or less the same way that she had learnt many other things.

Then again, she certainly couldn’t say that her method had worked very well thus far. So, when he offered his help she thought it would be best to accept.

"Your help would be appreciated." She did as directed and placed the ball on the ground, careful to ensure that it wouldn’t roll away from its spot before rising again.

As for his question, she had never really thought about it. It was more or less her nature to commit herself fully to anything that she did. “I suppose I do. If I am going to do something, I may as well do it as well as I can.”

Was there really people like this now and days? People who took such a mechanical approach to things? Takao was more of a feel the mood or go with the flow kind of guy. He couldn't even imagine being so exact with things. And he thought Midorima was bad.

But, her attitude to do things as well as she can wasn't so bad. He grinned at her and went to retrieve another ball then moved so he was standing at her side. "Well then, I'll try to teach you so you can do your best. Though I really am not a soccer player." He wondered if it was okay to teach someone when he had no real knowledge of the sport, but as long as no soccer player got offended it should be okay.

Though, the real problem was how to teach. If it was basketball he could show her how to get into a shooting position or how to dribble...Wait a moment, don't you dribble the ball in soccer as well? Just with your feet and not your hands. "Well, guess the simplest thing to start with is to kick the ball without letting it get too far away from you."

The basketball player slowly started to kick the ball around, making a cautious circle and managed to stop near Aigis again. He was actually pretty surprised that the ball didn't get away from him, but that was probably only because he was going so slow. "Now you try." He grinned in encouragement.

Whittuesday || Takao&Imayoshi

“So, what are you doing here currently? Did you come for lunch as well?”

Imayoshi didn’t really notice it, but he was sort of hungry. If he played his cards right, maybe he could score a treat from his hawk-eyed acquaintance. Not like he was a bum or anything, but it would be nice if he didn’t have to deduct even more money from his allowance. However, he did not know many restaurants. Except for one specific one that he hasn’t visited yet.  Conveniently, it was quite near their current location. As a ‘gentleman’, the bespectacled male asked Takao about his opinion.

"Well, yes. Do you want to join me? Does Italian food suit your preference, though?"

If there was any restaurant that had dishes that could remind him of his hometown, Osaka, Imayoshi would be glad to bring his acquaintance there. However, he did know an Italian place. However, was Takao a fan of it? He didn’t seem like the type, but hey, athletes should eat more. The bun that he was holding certainly wasn’t enough, so maybe it will suffice.

However, it was interesting that Takao was not standing together with his partner, Midorima Shintarou. After all, during the Shuutoku games that he observed, the hawk-eyed boy was usually beside his green-haired team mate. It made him sort of envious that Takao always had somebody to bug. If he acted the way Takao did towards Midorima to Aomine, he would probably be sent flying if he did that on a daily basis.

If everyone from the Winter Cup was here, it would certainly be interesting. Maybe it would happen, though. He heard from someone that a certain model boy from the Generation of Miracles was going to arrive soon. It would be fun to see everyone from Touou at this city. He missed Wakamatsu yelling at Aomine for not being as diligent as the rest. A smile spread across the male’s face from imagining it.

It was always funny, for his classmates that didn't understand how he could eat so much. Sports took up a lot more than people think. After a particular hard practice or a game, Takao probably eats three times more than the average person his age. Over time his classmates got used to it, but their reaction at first was priceless.

Takao preferred spicy food over anything, but food was food and he was willing to eat just about anything. Especially because of basketball he learned that eating as much as you can without being picky was a good thing. If he was a picky eater it should would be harder to get all the nutrients his body needed. An athlete's body needed to be well taken care of.

"I've haven't had Italian food often," Takao admitted with a grin, "But, if senpai recommends it then it should be fine, right?"

Well then again Takao knew that just because someone was a 'senpai' didn't mean they were looking out for your best intrest. Of course the people at Shuutoku were great people, but they liked to play tricks after all. Imayoshi seemed like he would play tricks as well...maybe keeping a careful eye on his food would be a good idea.

He looked at Imayoshi suspiciously, only to see a smile. He raised an eyebrow and spoke in the most surprised voice he could manage, "Eh? Imayoshi-san is smiling? Eh? What happened?"

He should really have learned by now that teasing a senpai wasn't smart, but well he doubted that Imayoshi would throw pineapples at his head so it should be okay. Or at least Takao hoped it was safe to assume that Miyaji was the only one who would throw pineapples around.

I sent a message to the group already but I wanted to make a post- I am going on hiatus until exams are over ^^ I may or may not do replies still but if I do they'll be extremely late (well later than they usually are)

Whittuesday || Takao&Imayoshi

"Hmm, that’s me for sure. The boy with the hawk eyes, partner with Midorima Shintarou, the number one shooter."

Midorima Shintarou? Well, that was interesting. He mentioned his friend in more detail, instead of himself and his play tactics. Maybe he thought Imayoshi would understand it better if he mentioned his more…POPULAR…team mate. The bespectacled male felt some sort of empathy towards the other black-haired male. After all, Aomine Daiki, one of the Generation of Miracles, was in his team. He became the one who was in the spotlight. However, Imayoshi didn’t really mind since he only wanted to win and get it over with.

Touou didn’t have many chances to play with Shutoku. In fact, so little that Imayoshi doesn’t remember playing against them at all. However, there was no denying that their basketball skills were the real deal. Imayoshi laughed a little, to acknowledge Takao’s answer. Takao’s smile seemed casual, however Imayoshi had slight doubts about what sort of emotions were hiding behind it.

"Well, sorry for forgetting you. However, it’s not like I know the Generation of Miracles shooter that well either. Well, Takao, Aomine is here. However, the rest aren’t here. Any Shutoku players around here?"

His mind started to recount the memories he had in Touou Academy. It was extremely fun. However, he decided that he shouldn’t be reminiscing about Tokyo. After all, it wasn’t like he had been at Toshi City for a year.

Takao wondered if Shin-chan would bristle if he heard the other claim to not enough the 'Number One Shooter' well. That image brought a broader grin to his face. It wasn't like he meant to underappreciated his skills or anything of the sort, he was just not trying to kid himself. He was well aware that between Midorima and him, the green haired Miracle would leave a bigger impression. But, that was okay. Takao would show that he was someone to be known as well, and not just as a 'partner to a miracle'. Which, mind you, was a hard role to fill itself.

Oh? So Aomine was here as well huh. He filed that information in his mind for future reference. Really, when he had moved here rather reluctantly he hadn't expected to run into anyone he knew. Or well, 'knew' in a lose term of course since he never did talk face to face with either the person in front of him or the Ace of the Generation of Miracles. Either way, the appearance of Imayoshi and the knowledge of Aomine being in Toshi City as well made the hawk eyes player curious if anyone else he knew was in this strange city.

"Hmm, nope, just me as far as I know." He answered the other's question. He hadn't actually talked to any of his teammates, former teammates, about living changes so he doubted it, but he was already surprised with encounters so far so he may be wrong. "Though who knows? Before we know it maybe everyone from Winter Cup would show up." He didn't put much faith in that and he snickered to show he was joking.

He motioned around them and repeated his question from before. "So, what are you doing here currently?" The sun was getting warmer by the minute as it became mid-afternoon and the streets were starting to get a bit more crowded. He held up his bun that he purchased and asked, "Did you come for lunch as well?" Though he held up the bun as an example, he wasn't going to be full from something so small. He was an athlete after all. If he was lucky maybe he could weasel the other into showing him some good restaurants.

She was relieved to find that he hadn’t been hurt too badly and took a moment to rein in her concern before trying to respond to his words. It wasn’t exactly the best leg (arm? foot? - Aigis couldn’t quite remember the phrase) to start off on with a stranger, but there was nothing to be done about it but taking it in stride.

"Well, technically speaking, I wasn’t really aiming at all. Though, in retrospect, I probably should have given it a little more thought." She grimaced, glancing around in an attempt to locate the runaway soccer ball. Spotting it a little ways off, she quickly picked it up and held it purposefully away from the boy before continuing.

"Although I’m taking gym classes, the application of the mechanics of this game seems to be elusive." After all, it wasn’t as though her time in Yakushima as a child was particularly devoted to her physical education.

Hey, hey. Was she really kicking the ball randomly without aiming? At a gym where any poor unsuspecting basketball player could walk in and get hit in the face? Takao laughed in good humor. "Yeah, next time you should aim before you kick like that." He rubbed his face once more as emphasis as he watched the other retrieve the ball.

He looked at her a bit strangely because of her next words. That was probably the most unsport-like way to describe a sport. If there was such a way at least. He wasn't much of a soccer player, basketball was more than enough for him, but he wasn't too shabby with the other sport either. 

He started laughing some more and wiped at his eyes for effect. "Ahh, with that attitude I don't think you'll get the so called 'mechanics' of soccer, or any sport really." He motioned to drop the soccer ball onto the floor. "I'm not skilled in soccer as much as basketball, but I can help if you'd like. Though practicing this hard just for a school class...you work hard at everything like this?"

Imayoshi was taking another stroll. After all, one of the things that Imayoshi liked about Toshi City was how peaceful and calm it was. However, he was still sort of confused about the number of doves. Then, he saw a familiar face as he was walking by a street lamp and looking at a dove that was on the ground.

When he looked up, he saw one of his acquaintances, Kazunari Takao. If Imayoshi had to choose anybody with a similar personality as him, Takao would be one of his top choices. He was a trickster that always had a smile plastered on his face. As usual, a mischievous smile was on Takao’s face.

"Oh, hi Hawk Boy."

Honestly, Imayoshi didn’t remember Takao’s name. However, he remembered that he had vision of a hawk. It was an appropriate nickname for him, according to Imayoshi.

Shuutoku hasn't gotten the chance to play against Touou but Takao knew quite a bit of information about the player in front of him. After all, Imayoshi was the captain of Touou which was quickly gaining a lot of publicity, especially after it gained the Ace of the Generation of Miracles. And while Takao's information gathering wasn't nearly as good as Momoi's, it wasn't hard to hear all about the other. 

"Hmm, that's me for sure. The boy with the hawk eyes, partner with Midorima Shintarou, the number one shooter." It sucked that more often than not Takao would be known for his eyes or for his partnership with Midorima more than his actual self, but he wasn't going to deny that fact. Not everyone could be miracles after all. 

He gave the other a grin, one of the ones he would give anyone to appear casual. "Name's Takao Kazunari, Imayoshi-san." He made a show of looking around. "You by yourself or is the Touou team hanging around somewhere?"

Carefulness (Or A Lack Thereof) | Aigis + Takao

Despite taking gym class at school, Aigis rarely spent time there by choice. However, she had a mission that required the use of the school gym, namely improving her athletic skills. She was half-convinced that it was a fruitless task, primarily due to her height putting her at a disadvantage for a few sports from the outset, but she had spent the previous night studying technique in hopes that she could still score technical points for the eventual examination.

Due to the fact that the gym had recently been emptied of its previous occupants, Aigis decided that she may as well focus on improving the power of her kicks for the upcoming soccer game. Her 13th haphazard kick of the soccer ball managed to send it sailing right into the face of the unfortunate person who’d opened the gym doors. After a moment of surprise, she approached the person, hoping she hadn’t done too much damage.

"Sorry! I was under the impression that the gym was vacant."

A ball to the head wasn't what he was expecting when he entered the Toshi academy's gym. All the hawk eyes player wanted was some time to practice his basketball. He wasn't sure if this school had a basketball team, it was really going to suck if they didn't, but he didn't want to get rusty either way. Judging from the time of day, most students should have already gone home so hopefully the gym was mostly free and he wouldn't be faced with a crowded area. 

Well, at least he was right about the gym being mostly empty. Takao covered his face in pain and peaked through his fingers at what nailed him. It was a soccer ball. He then looked up at the girl who was approaching with an apology, probably the one who shot the soccer ball at his face. "Ahh, no worries no worries." He waved off the apology though he was still rubbing his face. "Can't get mad at someone taking the time to practice this late." Not that the other's dedication made up for the soccer marks on his face. "Though, even if the gym is empty don't you think aiming at the doors is a little much?"

Unexpected || Takao&Akashi

Moving shouldn't have been much of a hassle. Takao didn't have many belongings he was bringing along to this new city, but for some reason nothing was going his way. If Shin-chan was here he would definitely say it was because he didn't follow Oha Asa this morning that his luck was bad. But superstitions aside, things really weren't going well for Takao.

First his family couldn't help out with his move since his little sister got sick, he didn't mind that much and there was no way he could have asked his parents to leave his little sister alone, but then the driver of the taxi he had taken got a call informing him that his wife was about to go into labor. Of course Takao had said he was fine getting off right there, it was only ten blocks or so until he reached his new apartment anyways, and the driver gave full refund even though he had almost reached his destination and then drove off.

Takao only had two boxes that he could stack onto one another and carry so he figured walking should have been okay. However, he had failed to factor in the slight incline he had to walk and the fact that the sun was beating down at his back and it was only getting hotter as the day progressed. He had managed half way before he tripped and the top box fell right in someone's path. "Ahh, sorry sorry. My bad." At least it didn't hit the person, the last thing he wanted at that moment was to get into some ruckus. He gave an apologetic smile to the other, only to freeze as he finally realized just who he had almost hit with his box. Akashi Seijuurou. Takao widened his eyes in surprised, "What's the captain of Rakuzan doing here?"

Roommates || Takao&Haruka

Takao didn't have many belongings he brought with him. There wasn't much he needed honestly, basketball had became such a big part of his life that as long as he had a ball things seemed pretty much settled. He briefly wondered who his roommate was. He might have gotten some papers when he got his apartment, but if so he had stuffed them in his backpack already. Well, nothing wrong with being surprised.

And he sure was surprised when he walked into his new home and found a girl already inside. Was the arrangements wrong? Takao knew he had the right room, his key wouldn't have worked if it was the wrong door, was that just how things worked around here? Ah, maybe he should have paid more attention. Too late for that though. He raised a hand in greeting. "Yo. Looks like we are roommates from now on. Let's get along~"

Whittuesday || Takao&Imayoshi

The first thing that struck him was how clean the city was. It was weird to put it bluntly. Somehow, he felt like a city shouldn't be this clean. Another thing he noticed was the amount of doves everywhere. Something was definitely off about this city. Ah well, that at least that meant this city wouldn't be too boring, right? After all to live you must enjoy your life.

Another thing that he wasn't expecting was seeing a familiar face. As he was buying some kimichi bun, feeling lucky that this city supplied them at a good location, he noticed someone dark haired with glasses passing buy. Grinning to himself at this chance encounter, he went up to greet the other. "Ah? Senpai, what are you doing here?"
