maybe it was the pure adrenaline , or dream like nature , of seeing her again that had him staring at her like she’d hung the moon in the sky though most people would say he’s always looked at her like that . “ oh i can think of a few other ways to make sure you’re real . ” tracing soft circles on her thighs with a grin , “ but this was a good first step . ” he couldn’t help but chuckle at the thought of himself in another puka necklace he hadn’t seen one of those in years but if he was honest he’d love almost anything she got for him . “ you are correct , i love my fish man , and the fact that you know me so well . keep acting like this and i might just fall in love with you . ” sarcasm drenching his every word to hide the truth of them . while there was a part of him that wanted to dig into her words , after all he felt like he’d shared so much of himself with her and she’d kept so many walls around herself , but some things are better left unsaid . “ you should be . it was a true tragedy , everyone kept calling me pouty or grumpy , and i mean i was but in my defense i was grumpy before you left . so , i feel like that shouldn’t have counted much . ” nuzzling into the crook of her neck lips brushing against her skin as he muttered , “ do you ? tell me what’s on your list , we can compare notes . i’d bet we have a few of the same ideas . ”
simplicity. it’s all she had craved ever since she was a little girl being thrust into the spotlight. she had seen the world, reached levels of fame that people could only dream of. and yet, she didn’t want any of that anymore. she wanted to feel loved and comfortable and safe, and the only time she had ever felt that in her entire life was when she was just a teenage girl filming that silly beach movie with dexter. “can you? why don’t you tell me what those ways are, i’d love to know.” she said, a playful smirk growing on her lips as she got more comfortable on his lap, arms wrapping around him as she played with the hair at the back of his neck. “might fall in love with me, huh?” she said, looking down at him with a soft smile, forehead moving to press against his, momentarily. “you know, i wouldn’t be opposed to that at all.” she said, a light blush spreading across her cheeks as a low giggle left her lips, trying to match his sarcasm, but she wasn’t being sarcastic in the slightest. “good, i rather them think you’re all pouty and grumpy. because if the rest of the world knew how wonderful you are? then i wouldn’t stand a chance.” she said with a light shake of her head. she arched her neck back as he nuzzled his face against her neck. “i have a very long, long list of things you know.” she said, gently pulling his head from her neck as she cupped his face in her hands. “but why don’t we start with this?” she asked before closing the space between them, finally pressing her lips against his own.
