hi hi hi, here’s sam introducing haseul to you!! you’re welcome into my ims if you’re interested in plotting, but you can also like this post and i’ll come to you. here we go!
it goes without saying that haseul’s a rich kid. unfortunately, she’s not an heiress to anything, though. not because she has two older brothers, besides an younger one, but because she’s the result of her mother’s affair; haseul found out by accident, eavesdropping while her parents were arguing. then everything made sense: how her father always seemed to treat her brothers better, how he expected nothing less than perfect from her and why he seemed so distant yet so controlling.
she never told them she knew she wasn’t his, but she felt like it didn’t make a difference. it was as if haseul had to show them she deserved to be a part of the family, she deserved her last name and all that comes with it.
however, being in her school’s top ten wasn’t enough if she was the 10th and her dad made sure to throw it in her face; haseul was especially fragile during high school, when competition became overbearing, so she’d try her best to be away from home for as long as possible.
haseul was fairly known at school for having hot handsome brothers and for being nice, even though people didn’t know much about her, considering she was kinda distant. haseul was only actually open to a small circle of friends, such as her brothers and her best friend. she thought if people’d get to know her, they wouldn’t feel the same about her.
she’s obviously jealous of her brothers because of her father’s difference of treatment. she fought with her mother once out of stress and almost told her what she knew, but left the house before she could. haseul also feels terrible for it, since they’re not the ones to blame.
as the only female kang and having no chance of getting any more money out of daddy’s bank account, her parents set her up with her childhood best friend. if anything she’d be tremendously mad knowing they wanna dispatch her but since it’s him, she’s okay. like. it’s only her best friend. and first love. and like. someone she really adores. so if what it takes for her to be away from them is to marry him, yes she’s in??
she took international relations for college (since yeah she still needs to please mr. kang) btw?? but never got to work with it yet?? get your own money girl you’ll need it.
although haseul was told to look move here to get back her fiancee, she mostly did it because she wants to; she needs this experience of being away from home and living as if she needs to be something she’s not (and truly she got good grades because she killed herself for it, not because she was really bright or something).
