What is TLT/T4T?
TLT/T4T is like WLW/MLM: It means you a trans person who loves other trans people. Trans has always included nonbinary genders and xenogenders!
If you only explicitly love/date trans people, this flag is for you! If you just prefer to love/date trans people, this flag is for you! If you just love/date other trans people, this flag is for you!
Lesbians, gay people, and bisexual people can be TLT! EDIT: Straight people can be TLT! Nonbinary and xenogender people can be TLT!
It is a common experience among trans people and it should be normalized!
Learn to love your trans self and other trans people. Embrace your transness. It is okay to do such. You are not alone and you are loved!
What is MLM/WLW?
MLM/WLW is something that a lot bisexual people experience! It is when you are both MLM and WLW! A lot of people who identify as this are bigender, but you can be almost any gender and identify as this! Please do not use this flag if you are cis.

this is a flag for relationships between transmascs and transfems! most t4t content is generalized or specifically represents transmasc4transmasc dating, so we decided to fill one of the gaps by making a flag for transmascs and transfems who date each other.
it is representative of all relationships between transmascs and transfems, not just straight ones! gay, lesbian, and bisexual transmascs and transfems who form relationships with one another are all included in this flag as well.
do not use this flag or make content with it if you fit our dni. okay to reblog even if you aren’t trans4trans!

GENDERFAG FLAG
hi, so i decided to make a new term for the mlm community to describe one’s experiences with gender! genderfag (or faggender) is a term used to describe a gender identity that is inherently connected to one’s attraction to men (or a term used to describe the way we perceive or are connected to manhood because of our attraction to men)!

Is it just me or was anyone else confused when they learned transmisogyny was defined as "the intersection of transphobia and misogyny" and not "the transphobia directed specifically towards transfeminine people"
yknow I heard the first definition first, years ago, and I think I’ve just been assuming the second definition for a while now without really thinking about it. Because... obviously transphobia and misogyny also intersect to oppress transmascs, just in a different way and for different reasons.
It makes sense, though. When she coined the term, Julia Serrano very much believed that transmascs held some kind of privileged position within the community, and escaped misogyny by transitioning- which is a very, very old and common anti-transmasc refrain. She’s since changed her mind and said she wishes she’d talked to more transmascs before writing the essay in which she coined the term, from what I’ve heard, and I wonder if the word & definition would be different if it was coined today.
Is it just me or does it strike anyone else as absurd that a person could genuinely believe that transmasculine people aren’t submitted to both transphobia and misogyny?
I mean, a lot of transmasculine people are still viewed as women in socially conservative subcultures, and these same cultures often tend to be pretty misogynistic. So like, a trans person having their trans identity ignored, erased, or denied while also subjecting them to misogyny? How is this not a form of intersection of transphobia and misogyny?
Yeah, it plays out very differently from the way it intersects with trans women and other transfeminine people. But for someone to claim that transmasculine people aren’t subjected to the intersection of transphobia and misogyny seems utterly bizarre to me. It’s like are your eyes even open as you go through your daily life? Is your head screwed on the right way?
I promise it’s not just you, and it’s also not just in “socially conservative subcultures” that we’re viewed and treated as women.
Any kind of “you can’t possibly know your own identity” rhetoric is rooted first in the classically misogynistic idea that “women” can’t be trusted to know themselves, make decisions for themselves, or possess the autonomy necessary to do things like transition.
Any kind of “gender traitor” rhetoric is rooted first in the classically misogynistic idea that “women” have certain duties, roles, and responsibilities to fulfill, and that by transitioning, transmascs are abandoning them in some way: abandoning our pre-destined roles as daughters, mothers, sisters, sexual partners, caretakers, etc.
In feminist spaces, we’re scorning women by becoming the “enemy”- because we’re obligated to fulfill our predestined roles as female feminists. We’re trying to escape misogyny, because we must just be bad, incorrect decisions out of fear and stupidity.
In queer spaces, we’re abandoning lesbians and other wlw- because we’re obligated to to fulfill our predestined roles as sexual partners & sex objects, even for queer women. We’re obligated to fulfill our roles as wlw activists and figureheads, a la Elliot Page. We’re “confused lesbians” who are just too stupid to know that we can be masc, and queer, and still be women.
Even within the trans community, AFAB trans people in general are most often targeted with the “transtrender” rhetoric- because we obviously can’t know our own genders, and we need “real” men and “real” trans people to tell us better.
Clearly this stuff is not what the term “transmisogyny” was created to talk about, and I think a different word to cover the different ways in which we’re targeted is clearer and more helpful. But the idea that we “escape misogyny” in any sort of way, that we’re not targeted by both transphobia and misogyny, is just deranged.
People use this rhetoric not just to erase us, but also to manipulate, abuse, correctively rape, and even kill us. It’s alive and dangerous even in spaces that label themselves “safe” for trans people.
bigender bisexual flag!
this flag is for bisexuals who are also bigender! this includes bigender people who arent male+female, and regardless of their pronouns.
you can use these for icons and stuff, just dont use them for yourself if youre not a bigender bisexual, or if you fit my dni.
edit: to clarify, a bigender bisexual did help make this flag, i just put it together and posted it for them and other bisexuals. it was not my intention to seem like im making identity flags like this for communities im not part of, i just got a bunch of requests for it and didnt think to clarify.
