If you’ve cut a negative person from your life, whether they were abusive or just someone who wasn’t a positive influence on you, at NO POINT in your healing are you required to let that person BACK into your life.

Your healing should never be contingent on you bringing people who have harmed you back into your space. Your healing does not require you to give these people a second chance to harm you.

what are the correct pronouns to use for you? I've seen a lot of people making posts especially recently about how anyone who doesn't use traditional pronouns should correct them so they don't get them wrong (sorry if this question doesn't make sense, I don't know a lot about this kind of stuff)

don’t worry! I prefer my name instead of pronouns, but that can get a little difficult. when you have to refer to me several times in a short period, you can also use they/them/theirs.

ex.

lyu had a long day so lyu is very tired.

ex 2.

lyu had a long day, so they went to the store and they got some treats to make it better.

if you mess up once or twice before you figure it out, it’s all good friend! I just really dislike people assuming my pronouns or serially misgendering me.

Do you have any tips specific for J. Crew? I've yet to see anyone really dive into specifics for that store. -R

J.Crew is a rather tricky store, but it is certainly navigable. Honestly, the most difficult part for me is trying not to feel bad because the employees are always so nice to me. But I digress on that front. Anyways, J.Crew often sets up a fitting room for you when you’re trying on clothes so that you don’t have to carry them around, and I have never known them to count items you bring in with you, so be prepared to let the first batch go. What I do is I grab things that I don’t want at first and allow them to take them into the fitting room, then the second batch that I grab is mixed with things that I plan on lifting, which I bring into the fitting room myself. A very important strategy here is to have a lifting buddy who can also bring you clothes while you’re in the fitting room, because the employees are often busy running all over the store anyways. Most importantly, one must remember to remove the tags that are attached to the clothing on the inside lower left. All you need to do is cut the RFID off and you’re good. However, with more expensive items, they often tag them with pencil tags that are, of course, easily removable with a magnet.

how often do you actually buy something from j crew when you’re lifting? (i know you’ve bought a lot in the past) 

personally, i always feel like SAs will be suspicious if my friend and i have spent 20 minutes in the store and walk out without buying anything! so usually i still end up spending $20-30 in the store to buy something, and then lifting something $70-200. a 1:7 is NOT a spending good ratio, and i hatee having to buy things, but i always figure it’s safer to do that. j crew is not an easy place.

any tips for lifting a blow dryer / flat iron? 😘

Depends what kind/where you get it. If you’re thinking like a high end one like a chi from ulta or something I would check to make sure there are no tags/remove tags and then shove that thing in my purse and gtfo. Same thing if you’re planning on getting one from Walmart although it might not be tagged. Remember to be safe and good luck!
