Okay, everyone! I think now is a good time to take a big step back and a deep breath. Things are hectic right now, I know, but we're doing everything we can.
Let me take a minute to reassure you: everything is going to be okay. One way or another, things will settle down eventually. Please take care of yourselves, and don't stress yourselves out. If you need to reach out to someone, my DMs are always open!
Let's look at some of the positive things our protest has brought!
Here's a post by the Wolf Conservation Center! We raised over $7,000 for their organization, and over $20,000 for wolf conservation efforts worldwide. I know specifically that we donated to organizations in China, Russia, and Mexico to support their conservation efforts. The Wolf Conservation Center received 108 donations from 26 countries, and 125 symbolic adoptions from 22 countries from members of our fandom. This is incredible!
Here's a post specifically about the Russian wolf conservation organization! They sent an adorable video of two of the wolves, Miron and Athena. Their total loan debt was $660,000 rubles (about $8,600), and thanks to us, they were able to pay off HALF of it! Another GoFundMe was started for them, and we managed to raise almost $10,000!
Here's a post specifically about the the Mexican wolf conservation organization. We managed to raise over $28,000 for them! They made a post to thank us for our donations.
Here's a post talking about our donations to the Pawssion Project! Thanks to us, FIVE DOGS are now sponsored! One of them now carries Valko's name.
Here's a post talking about a little puppy named Kumpol, who was able to get life-saving treatment thanks to our donations!
A company called Nici has a plushie called Vinnie the Wolf. They received so many requests from us that they are now trying to get him back in stock for us! Here's the post.
CN girls donated to an emergency disaster fund in China following a massive flood on July 6th. They managed to raise over 170,000 yuan! Here's the post.
We also donated money and 100 chocolate milks to an orphanage. Unfortunately, I couldn't find precise details on this, but this is still an amazing outcome! Here's the post.
We have also been donating to Tree-Nation and similar organizations, which help to fight deforestation. I don't have an exact amount for this one either, as it's more difficult to track. Here's the post.
I teared up at my desk at work writing this. Regardless of Infold's decision, we have done some truly amazing things. THIS is how we protest. THIS is how we spread love. I am so, so proud of us π
