In 2008, Ryan Gosa and I collaborated on a screenplay, which we never finished and was never realized. In 2011, he died. In 2016, I am trying my best to finish the piece, which will be performed humbly at Dixon Place on July 26, at 7:30 pm. Collaborating with the dead is tricky business.
New video for FIELDED's "I Choose You" (my favorite FIELDED song of all time, which you can BUY HERE), directed by Alex Mallis. "The video offers choice as a creative act, radical all the more when the choice is that of real, human love and understanding." (also in this video I got to wear a bouffant the size of my personality so)
I am workshopping a new performance in 2016's HOT! Festival at Dixon Place. It is a collaboration with Ryan Gosa, who died in 2011. All Them That Weave The Wind is a conversation between the past and the present, the living and the dead. It takes place in the space where memory, grief and imagination meet, weaving a lost being into form from the fragments that were left behind.
Seriously, ask us anything and FIX YOUR LIFE already! Saturday, April 9th Dixon Place Lounge FREEEEEEE advice!
The place between being ready and not-yet-ready. (Kinks demos just always cut to the emotional quick)
Artist and producer Lindsay Powell on how her 'pop star' alter-egos, Fielded and Tapioca, have changed her outlook on the music industry.
listen to new tracks + i’m fighting for you, i promise
More amazingness from my brilliant sister. Read her words and listen to her songs and get a glimpse at the complexity of being a female artist within so many layers of patriarchcal systems.

So excited to be collaborating with Annie Sicherman on a book about Anxiety, and the ways in which people “order” it in this Anxiety-inducing world. We created a way for people to submit stories anonymously, if you are interested in contributing, but don’t want anyone to know. :)

I rarely get personal on my tumblr but I feel the need to share my experience in case someone struggling happens upon it. Thanks in advance for taking the time to read about my difficult year. 2015...
My beautiful, inspiring, strong (and hilarious) sister shares her experiences with mental health struggles and transformations [Click Link above]. She is my number one hero. Please take the time to read and share - as most of us have had our own struggles and triumphs, or certainly have loved ones who have. Happy New Year - to embracing honesty and wholeness and the wide spectrum of experiences that make up a life.
This incredible person fell asleep watching An Invitation to Sleep installation, and when he woke up told us how he convinced the owners of the Texas Wonder Cave to let him spend the night because he wanted to experience that level of silence.
Here are some photos from the An Invitation To Sleep opening reception at The Salvage Vanguard Theater in Austin, TX. Gorgeous dream-themed performances by AuxAux, Pastel Mountain, The Loose Threads Choir, Glass Anchors, and Hearsay & Hyperbole, as well as a reading by poet Sarah Janczak. Photography by Manal Abu-Shaheen.
Such a beautiful night. Two more nights to experience the Dream Tent, starting at 6:30pm.
