Would you be willing to make a transmasc reader x Kaneki? 👉👈
A/N: I sure can. I did headcanons, if that's alright with you.
〖 Kaneki with a Trans Masculine S/O 〗
His priority is always your comfort and authenticity. He would never misgender you, nor would he let anyone else. He'd use your preferred name and pronouns instinctively, from the moment you tell him, as if he'd always known them.
Having struggled so much with his own body and identity, Kaneki has an innate understanding of feeling disconnected or uncomfortable in one's own skin. He'll offer a comforting presence—a hug, a cup of coffee, or simply be there in silence, letting you feel what you need to feel without judgment.
He'd learn about binders if you use them, offering to help you choose a new one if you need it, remembering your size and preference.
If you're considering surgery, he’d be incredibly supportive.
His own path of self-discovery makes him deeply empathetic to your journey. He understands the struggle of reconciling who you are with how the world sees you.
If anyone misgenders you, makes a transphobic comment, or treats you with disrespect, Kaneki's protective instincts would kick in immediately.
Recovery from surgery or any gender-affirming care would see Kaneki in full caretaker mode.
He'd bring you your favorite books, prepare meals, help with medications, and ensure you're as comfortable as possible, paying attention to your needs and pain levels. He'd be proud of your journey and your resilience.
Beyond your trans identity, he sees the complex, wonderful person you are. Your quirks, your passions, your fears, your dreams.
Your transness is a part of you, but it doesn't define his love or perception of you. His eyes always see you, recognizing your true self and cherishing every part of it.
your f/o would die and kill for you, yes - but they would also endure the most mundane and irritating parts of life for you. doing household chores, waiting in line, getting rained on; they will go through it all for you. but if they were to do them with you, well, that'd be all the sweeter <3
mm.....your f/os helping you sleep by humming your favorite song and stroking your hair gently.... theyll continue to do it until you manage to fall asleep, willing to lose sleep if it means that you get the rest and recharge you deserve...
Reminder to self-shippers with health challenges, disabilities, chronic illnesses that your f/o(s) love and support you!
Appointments and consultations? They’ll gladly go with you if you need some support or someone to help advocate for you. If you’re unsure how to manage symptoms or you find a new diagnosis overwhelming, they’ll read up on ways to manage it with you. If there’s any changes to your health, they want to learn along with you so they can understand and help!
Do you need mobility aids or assistive devices? Your f/o(s) are happy to learn about how they work, help you research any equipment you might need, help you get used to a new cane or chair or crutch if you’re not accustomed to using it. They’ll also remind you that you don’t have to “push through” or wait til you’re in a bad flare-up to use these tools if you might not need them all the time. You deserve to help yourself!
Do you get flare-ups where your symptoms or pain levels are worse than normal, or it’s harder to manage every day tasks? They’re not going to judge you. What do you need help with? They’re happy to help with cleaning, dishes, food, making sure you have clean clothes and can get washed up. If you struggle with hygiene or self-care on some of these days, they understand and they know it’s hard. They’re proud of you for telling them and allowing them to help.
They keep track of what food sensitivities you might have, what activities or weather might trigger symptoms, any supplements you might take, and if you have medications and when you need to take them. If you’re planning to go out somewhere for a date, rest assured your f/o looks into any accessibility needs or dietary restrictions you might have when choosing places to go. Loving you means supporting and understanding you, and they never, ever want you to feel like you’re dealing with your health alone.
friendly reminder that your f/o can handle tackle hugs just fine and that you should throw yourself at them at mach 1 and squeeze them super tightly and shake 'em around,,,,,, it is enrichment for them to be tackled and squeezed and shaken.
Imagine your clingy F/O always needing to be near you. Imagine them wanting to constantly be touching: coming up and wrapping their arms around your shoulders from behind (even when you're busy doing something), sitting as close as possible to you, playing with your fingers and hands if they are free, etc. Imagine them constantly asking where you're going, if you want them to come, making up excuses as to why they should probably join you anyway even if it's a one-person errand. They just always want to be with you!!
Your F/O that has been through so much pain--the one that has been hurt/abandoned/betrayed in the past-- imagine finally giving them the affection and love that they have been missing. Imagine seeing the look in their eye the first time you press your hand gently to their cheek, the way they look uneasy at first before softening, leaning their face into the touch, unable to resist the comfort. Imagine holding them in your arms for the first time, the way you can feel them melt into you, a slight shake to their hands as they return it. Imagine reassuring them while you hug them that you'll never hurt them, and in response feeling them grip onto your shirt, as if silently unwilling to ever let you go.
