The leaves crunched under your feet as you walked towards the worn out picnic table. The slight breeze sent a chill down your spine. As you neared the table, you could see that he wasn’t there yet. A sigh escaped your lips, “Always punctual, Munson.”

“I half expected you to stand me up,” Eddie scolded as he came out from behind a tree, “again.” You nearly jumped out of your skin.

“I apologized for that.”

“No, yeah, I get it.” He bit his nail, “Duty calls.”

You rolled your eyes. The last time you and Eddie were supposed to meet, you blew him off because of a basketball ball game. Not the best excuse, but you had promised to be there. He watched as you sat down at the table. His eyes never left you, ever. Every time the two of you met, you had his full attention.

“I needed to be there for Jason.” You glanced over at him. You honestly wished you had met up with Eddie that night. They lost the game and Jason was in a shitty mood after.

“He treats you like shit.” Eddie scoffed, “Why do you waste your time with him?”

“I don’t remember asking for your opinion, Munson.” Not that he wasn’t right.

He rolled his eyes and placed the black metal box on the table, “How much do you want?”

“Just my usual.” You grabbed the cash out of the letterman jacket pocket. In hindsight, you should’ve left Jason’s jacket in your car. You knew how Eddie felt about the basketball team. He never let you forget how much he hated them.

“Need me to roll for you?” He had a slight venom to his voice.

You handed him the cash, “Yeah.”

He smirked as he ground up the bud and placed it onto the paper. His eyes locked with yours as he ran his tongue over the paper to seal it. You looked away from the curly haired boy. There was always a tension between the two of you, but you never acted on it. Mostly because you had a boyfriend, but also because the two of you ran in entirely different crowds. Eddie always intrigued you. Between his manic behavior and goofy personality, he always seemed like a fun person to be around. You got lost in your head as you watched his fingers flick through the money. His fingertips were calloused. You thought back to the middle school talent show where he played his guitar. You wondered if he still played and if he’d improved at all.

“Pleasure doing business with you.” His voice pulled you from your thoughts. The joint hung from his metal cluttered fingers.

You grabbed the joint and let your hands touch for longer than you probably should’ve, “Thanks, Eddie.”

You stood up and began to walk away but Eddie’s voice stopped you, “Does he even know your favorite song?”

You turned with a puzzled look, “What?”

“Jason. Does he know your favorite song?”

“Why?”

He bit the nail on his middle finger, “I, uh, just-uh never mind.”

“Do you know my favorite song?” You teased.

“Rhiannon. Fleetwood Mac.”

Shock washed over you, “Ho-How did you know that?”

He smiled at you, “You’re always humming it in class.”

“Oh.”

“I think you deserve better.”

“Thank you, but my relationship is fine.” You lied. You really didn’t know if Jason knew your favorite song. You definitely didn’t know his. Eddie lowered his gaze, finally looking away from you. You sighed, “Why do you care about my relationship so much?”

“I don’t like seeing amazing people get taken for granted.” He locked eyes with you once again, “That’s exactly what Jason does.”

You were frozen in your spot. You never thought anyone paid any mind to your relationship. Especially not Eddie Munson.

“Anyway, I should go.” He grabbed his stash and walked away, leaving you with a lot to think about.

…

You sat in Jason’s room while he did his homework. Your mind wandered to the picnic table in the woods. A part of you wished you were there right now.

“Hey, J?” You called to your boyfriend.

“Hmm” He grunted, not once did he look up at you.

“Do you know my favorite song?”

“I don’t know.” He said still working on his homework, “That one Kate Bush song?”

He said it more as a statement rather than a question. It was like he didn’t actually care to hear the answer. It puzzled you. How can someone you barely talk to know your favorite song, but your boyfriend of over a year didn’t? You started to wonder if Eddie was right. Maybe you were taken for granted.

“It’s not.” You retorted.

“Okay.” He looked over to the clock on his nightstand, “Shit, I’m supposed to meet the guys.” He grabbed his jacket from behind you and threw it over his shoulder, “Have you seen my keys?”

You pointed to his desk.

“Sweet, thanks.” He put on his shoes and snatched his keys, “Hey, you good to walk home? I just can’t be late.”

You blankly stared at him, “Uh, I guess.”

“Cool. Catch you later.” He walked out of his room, “You kind of have to leave so I can lock up.”

You crawled out of his bed and pulled your shoes on, “Right, sorry.”

The two of you left his house in a rush. You watched as he climbed into his car and left you stranded.

The Autumn air grew colder as the sun set. Your house was roughly 6 miles from Jason’s and you’d already been walking for at least an hour, felt like more. Goosebumps riddled your body as the wind picked up. God, this was such bullshit. You should’ve just called your mom for a ride home.

The sun was almost completely set now as the darkness overtook the small town. The temperature dropped quickly and you hugged your arms around your body in an attempt to keep yourself warm. Fuck, you thought, I am such an idiot.

You heard the faint sounds of Fleetwood Mac playing from a car radio. As you turned your head you saw headlights a little ways down the street.

As the car approached you, you recognized it immediately. Eddie fucking Munson. A wave of relief fell over you because you knew he’d stop when he realized it was you.

The van slowed as it reached you, “Don’t you know, you’re not supposed to be out alone when it’s dark outside?”

You smiled, “Oh, right. Something about a creeper trying to pick up girls in his beat up van.”

He acted like you stabbed him in the heart, “Creeper, huh?”

“Mhmm” You giggled. He smiled and his unruly hair fell in his face.

He looked you up and down, “Need a ride?”

I’m so sorry for disappearing off the face of the earth. i have been going through it mental wise. life has been beating my ass, but i am so excited to get back into writing. leave it to stranger things to pull my ass out of a writing slump. i have an eddie munson fic coming out tonight so keep your eyes peeled for that!! “This can’t be real.” Sweet Pea sighed as he looked at the girl in front of him. She had asked him to teach her to fight after she’d had a run in with some Ghoolies. 

“What?” She stood upright and placed her hands on her hips.

“You look like you’d lose a fight to an alley cat.” He laughed and walked towards the girl. He discarded his jacket on the couch that was next to his trailer. 

“Um, that’s kind of the point of you teaching me how to fight.” She rolled her eyes.

“Punch me.” 

“What?” Her eyes widened.

“Punch me.” He repeated, “I need to see how you punch in order to properly teach you.”

Y/N balled up her fist and punched his stomach. She clutched her hand as she pulled away.

“Hurt your hand, princess?” He smirked.

“No.” She lied.

“What the hell was that?” He laughed, “That was a sad punch.”

“I hit you as hard as I could.” She pouted.

He threw his head back in laughter, “That was the best you could do? Sweetheart, you better be a fast runner because there is no way you are going to beat someone up.”

She shoved him.

“Hey!” He laughed.

So I’ve just been informed that @/palepeech on wattpad has been stealing my imagines/headcanons and posting them as works of their own. I havent gone through everything but as far as I’ve seen, they have stolen my Dating Sweet Pea Headcanon AND my Sober (fp jones) imagine WORD FOR WORD.

Stealing someone’s original work and passing it off as your own is fucked up and just plain disrespectful. I would not have a problem with you posting my work if you had given me the proper credit I DESERVE, but now i’m just pissed.

So if you write riverdale fanfics or headcanons and what not, I advise you to go check to see if your work has also been stolen. Here is a picture of said profile along with screenshots of the stories she stole (my post first then the stolen ones):
