jung ho-yeon & she / her / cis woman ‷ watch out , byun hana has crash-landed into roswell !! they look twenty seven and celebrate their birthday on the 23rd june . they are from changwon, reside in the greystone complex and are currently working as a cashier @ the galactica gift shop. one thing you should know about them is she's only recently moved into town and she didn't bring much with her‷ ( corrie, she/her, 25, gmt/bst )
trigger warnings: death / mental health issues / biphobia
hana is orignally from the city of changwon in south korea, she moved to america for college a few years a go.
she’d always planned on going back changwon after she finished her studies but unfortunately she lost her parents in a car crash.
hana is an only child, she doesn’t have any other siblings, it’s just her and she doesn’t really have any family anymore after her parents death.
she was going to move back in with her grandparents after she finished her studying but they found out that she’d been having relationships with people of different genders, they weren’t happy.
after many arugments with them, it was clear that hana wasn’t going to be allowed back into their home. which left her crushed, her parents had been accepting but it seemed that her grandparents didn’t feel the same.
so hana never got to go back home, her mental health hit rock bottom and she was SAD for a long time. but after some help from friends, she got back up on her feet.
her college degree was in teaching and she did that for a little while, but she soon realized that it wasn’t for her.
now she was really lost, so she decided to save up all her money and move to a new city. she got a shitty job, a tiny place and when she got bored there, she did the same thing again, she just sees it as an adventure now.
hana has only been in rosewell for three months now, she’s got her own very tiny (but full of love) apartment and she’s working as a cashier at the local gift shop.
she’s really starting to like rosewell, she’s thinking about staying than she normally would stay, but who knows.
hana is always down to do dumb shit and go on adventures, you wanna go get food at 3am, go on a big long roadtrip over the weekend, she’s ya girl to call!!
basically hana is a bit of a hot mess, that is okay, she’s found herself and she’s living her best life now.
her past still haunts her sometimes, but she’s able to cope with that now, she’s happy(ish)!!

LOCATION: hana and ender’s apartment // @roswellstarters
"i didn't think you'd be here this early. i’m not ready yet” hana tells them and she throws them an apologetic smile. she was currently stood in the middle of her living room, wearing a big t-shirt and shorts, “you can get cosy on our couch if you want, i’ll be five minutes, promise”.
location: feel good records ( aster is a cashier )
“are you sure you want to spend your money on that?” she mutters softly. she doesn’t intend for others to hear, per se — this is a job, after all, and she has to maintain some level of professionalism. but part of her kinda does want them to know she disapproves of the buyer’s choice. she knows this store inside-out, and she has opinions. strong ones.
hana looks stares back at the other, "seriously? this is a good record" she hits back. she’d always had a passion for music, she’d wanted this record for ages and so hearing someone dissing it wasn’t fun. she runs a hand through her dark hair, “i’m still gonna buy it”.
There was no excuse for boredom. Not with the bass so heavy she could feel it thumping in her chest and the crowd sparkling under the lasers, their excitement palpable as they swayed with the beat. Their drunken revelry should’ve been contagious yet each sip of her cocktail set her further and further apart, brutally stuck in her own head. She groaned, downing the last of her drink and making a beeline for the bar as the devil on her shoulder won out. There was only one empty seat, nothing but a jacket keeping it reserved and Vic wasted no time dropping it to the floor as she claimed her spot. “What do you think, rum or tequila?”
hana had a free evening and so she decided to head out to area 51, to dance the night away. she hadn’t been in the club for long and she was already drunk, that always seemed to happen in this place, she couldn’t help it. she stumbles to the bar, clambering onto a stool, she was a little wobbly. hana ordered herself another drink, she was in her own little world, waiting for her drink to arrive when she heard the other, “rum. obviously”.
“i swear this store gets more outlandish every single day.” the words escaped in a giggle as elliot removed the bear mask from their face, the fuzzy texture of it nearly setting their sensory issues into overdrive. with a playful scowl, they set it off to the side, brown eyes searching to seek their companion out. they usually went to callisto as an excuse to get out of their trailer, restless behavior setting something off in their brain and telling them to try on costumes that consisted of too much glitter and itchy fabric, but they loved it. “have you found anything good? besides that creepy thing, i’m coming up short.”
hana had come out with elliot to callisto costume, she was having fun rummaging through all the different items. a laugh fell from hana’s lips when she saw elliot, “definitely, the mask suits you though, totally you’re colour”. she was glad to have a break from work, she seemed so busy with it these days, hana picks up a dress, “now this is cute. what do you think? it looks vintage” she muses, “i’m sure we can find you something better”.
THIS WAS THE DARE. lie to a random person and see if they believe it. it was a stupid game he was playing with some online friends he barely talked to, and the proof of completion was merely hearsay. but he was fair. “ did you hear the talk ?” his voice nearly croaks out at the closest person to him, the poor, poor, victim he decided to play out the dare to. “ i’m just gonna come right out and say it - i just wanna nip it in the bud before it really gets around. ” a sigh before continuing. “ yeah, okay, i was caught bench pressing, like, 400 pounds the other day, so. everyone’s just freaking out about that. ” it’s staged as a SERIOUS MOMENT. his arms raised slightly, lips pressed into a thin line, his fib coming out very unbelievable. “ it’s stressful having to uphold the roswell reputation of being the BEST LOOKING GUY but, i mean, we all have a role we have to play. if not me then who, right ? you get it, i’m sure you get it. ” / @roswellstarters
hana was in her own little world, sipping on a coffee outside of the crashdown cafe when she heard the others voice. she turns, giving him a quirked a brow, curious about what he had to say, “c’mon mr. dramatic, hit me” she replies. hana can’t hide her laugh as he speaks next, “sure dude. and yesterday i saw a pig fly” a teasing tone was evident in her voice, she was only messing. “mhm. and did you give yourself that title? or did we all have to vote, i missed out” she carries on, the teasing tone still clear in her voice, “maybe next time come up with something slightly more believable and i’d get it”.
This was now Sebastian’s second Christmas back in Roswell, something he certainly hadn’t planned and was still amazed by. The urge to get back on the road didn’t seem to be taking over quite as much as it usually did. So here he was, in a store he very rarely stepped foot in, trying to find something for his little cousin. When someone walked straight into him, he had to laugh a little. “You want me to take some of those off your hands?” he mused, glancing to her.
hana knew she should've gotten a basket but she was too proud, she was going to try and hold onto everything as best she could. her cheeks flush a little pink, feeling very awkward, “that’d be awesome actually, thank-you” she replies. hana glances back at him, “i thought i could carry everything, but i guess not” an awkward chuckle slips past her lips.
as of now, some of her family was in town for christmas. she decided to get them last minute gifts in the form of what roswell is known for - aliens (like an apple for new york or a peach for georgia). stepping inside of the galactica gift shop, there was only one person there - hana. “ hello. ” she greeted, looking around. “ so, my mum and nan are here in town. what do you think i should get them? ”
hana looks up, noticing the other, “hey” she replies, shooting the other a small but awkward smile. she watches, waiting for another question, she was ready to go back to looking at the ailen figure in her hand. she shakes her head and a laugh falls from her lips, “nothing from here. that’s for sure”.
between a piercer and a worker at gallactica gift shop they weren’t rolling in money by any means , but they were comfortable – and wasn’t that all you can hope for , especially coming up to the christmas season ?? “ yeah , probably best to leave that one .. i’ve got quite a collection of weird anecdotes . “ ender was a strange one , but hana had agreed to move in with her and so the girl couldn’t possibly be naive to that information . “ we could put it up against the window and freak out the neighbourhood children . do you think we could get away with decorating the outside , or will our neighbours get pissed ?? “
hana studies the papier-mâché verison of ender for just a moment, listening to her roomate speak, “now you’ve said that, i wanna know the story” she smiles at her friend. hana didn’t mind that ender was slightly odd, she was just happy to have a roomate, “that’s a great idea! “ hana agrees, “who cares what our neighbours think, we should have a little fun with this” she carries on, hana liked to mess around with people, she didn’t really think about the consequences.
"this is such a dumb game" hana says, she’d lost at the game she was playing, again. a sigh of defeat fell past her lips as she moves away from the game, hoping to find something she could play, that she’d actually be good at.
hana sat sipping on a milkshake with the other, “what are your plans for christmas?” she asks, this was the first year in a little while that she had friends to do stuff with. “are you having family over or...?” hana carries on, she was curious to know.
for the first time in a few years, hana actually had people to buy christmas presents for. she was currently wandering around forbidden planet with her arms full of gifts, she wasn’t watching where she was going and bumps into someone, “shit, i’m so sorry. i should’ve been paying more fuckin’ attention”.
all was quiet in the gift shop, it had been a long and slow day for hana. she was currently sat behind the counter, fiddling with one of plastic toy ailens that they sold. “i can’t believe people acutally buy this stuff” she mutters to herself, staring at it.
“IT’S THE FUCKIN’ HOLIDAYS, OTTO. do you seriously think workin’ on the album is the most important thing for us right now?” elijah huffs on the phone as he surveys through the store, doing his christmas shopping. “no, i’m not flyin’ out to los angeles to talk. we’re talkin’ right now, this is what you’re getting. if you piss me off, i’m blockin’ your goddamn number and then you won’t even get access to me.” he threatens, knowing full well the band’s manager was already livid about cyrus blocking him months ago. he wants to pretend he cares about whatever the other man is saying but his patience runs out, stopping in the middle of the isle and locking his jaw in frustration before he practically yells onto his phone: “you work for us, otto, not the other fuckin’ way around! handle this shit yourself!” and ends the call. elijah shoves his phone back onto his jeans, looking up to see that he wasn’t as alone as he thought, someone watching the whole scene unfold. “uh… i’m sorry ‘bout that.” he presses his lips together in a awkward smile, throwing them an apologetic look.
she'd only popped into the store to pick up some last minute bits, a secret santa for work, some more tinsel for the flat she shared with ender. she was making her way down one of the aisles when she bumped into elijah, she was going to say something but she could see that he was busy on the phone, she didn’t want to bother. he looked hot when he got mad, she liked that, she tugged on her bottom lip as she watched him, the conversation ended. she grins at him, “don’t worry about it mr. rockstar” hana replies, “just remind me to never piss you off” a teasing laugh falls from her lips.
