Kiyo beamed at that and looked thoughtful. It was pretty true that their condition was rare. He’d never thought of it like that though. The sorcerer frowned as he heard the rest and shook his head. It had always been something that bugged both of them but it hadn’t happened yet.

“Yeah! I guess that’s true! I never thought of it like that before! I’m so glad to have Ki with me! O-oh? That’s true… but its not happened yet so I think it should be okay! Ki’s really focused when he boxes so that’s probably why it hasn’t happened.” He smiled at that and was about to say more hen he suddenly tensed and went limp, his body shuddering.

Before he could hit the ground, his body shot back up and Ki smirked over at the guy with excitement in his glowing ruby eyes. Oh hell yeah!! He’d been waiting for this! The other would have noticed that he was standing differently along with his voice being deeper as he chuckled.

“Heh sorry about that! Guess I’m too fired up about this! The sap’s right though! As long as I’m damn fighting we won’t switch! Hell the entire time we haven’t done that so don’t worry! I’m so ready for this though! Hell yeah!!” He grinned widely and his eyes blazed with determination. This was going to be a hell of a time!

“Oh, I see! There is no doubt that focus is a state of mind sufficiently strong to have such an effect! I’m glad to hear my worries were for naug —hey, are you all right?!” Nidai lunged for Kiyo, trying to seize him before he fell flat on the floor. However, Kiyo suddenly sprang up, and Nidai jumped backwards instead.

Nidai blinked his eyes. “That was quite the transformation! It’s rare for me to see someone get this fired up. Now we’re talking! I ACCEPT YOUR BURNING SPIRIT!!”

Nidai paced around Ki, looking him up and down. “You’ve got a nice body! However, I don’t believe you’ve reached your genetic muscular potential yet. We can definitively work on that! Most importantly, we need to hone your skills as much as we can... how confident do you feel about them?”

Mountain: What’s the furthest you’ve ever travelled?

“As a manager, I’m required to travel alongside my athletes, which means I must accompany them on international trips. The furthest was without a doubt the one time I went with a soccer team to Brazil. It’s a beautiful country with a delightful passion for the sport!”

Ice: What’s your favourite thing to do in the winter? 

“This might sound childish, but I thoroughly enjoy making snow angels! It’s almost like swimming in the snow!”

Breath: What type of music do you listen to? 

“Anything that gets me pumped up will do the trick. I have quite an extensive playlist of songs to listen to during solo workouts! The dopamine kick is great to keep you motivated!”

Volcano: What are you most afraid of? 

“Although I’ve come to learn to live with it… I’m still afraid of the day my heart condition catches up to me.”

                        The nurse was busy restocking the cupboards with new band-aid boxes, syringes and rubbing alcohol pads. She had just a couple more boxes to unpack before she was done.. Since she was alone, she felt.. comfortable for the time being..  Tsumiki was just enjoying the peace and quiet of the infirmary, that until she got some visitors. A soft gasp escaped from the nurse as she turned on her heels toward the door. She fidgeted a little nervously at first but seeing her fellow classmate, Nekomaru Nidai in PAIN put a little spring in her step to help him quickly. 

                       “..Ah! … N-Nekomaru-san.. W..what happened to you? … Please b-bring him over h-here.” Tsumiki managed, directing the other students to a free bed. She watched as the athletes worked together to move him from the stretcher to the bed. She felt like she’d just get in the way if she tried to help LIFT him, so she went and fetched an ice pack while Nidai got settled. “...C-can you please t-tell me where the pain is?” 

Nidai groaned as he was settled on the bed. A regular person would struggle to move him due to his massive bulk, but his athletes were among the few able to accomplish such feat with little trouble. After nodding his thanks to them, Nidai shifted to adjust his upper body, then folded his arms over his belly. “Down my right leg... in the calf.”

Nidai sighed. “I was very careless... I ran to meet one of my athletes head on for a tackle, but the grass was too wet and I slipped... like in those banana peel gags. I’m glad my blunder didn’t injure anyone else."

      Formulating himself in a language so new to him… it was a challenge. He knew he was pretty bad at explaining things, and once more, like many times before, it lead to misunderstandings. He was just about to try and clarify that it wasn’t the fighters he had protected his family from, but they had actually challenged him out in the forest… when suddenly, the strange man had began to cry. No, sobbing???

      “HUEH!? Gonta is so sorry, he didn’t mean to… make you upset..! Despite Gonta growing up in a forest… he is fine, really! He loves his home!”

      Wait, was he happy crying or was he actually upset? Humans were so difficult to read..!

As quickly as it began, Nidai’s sobbing ceased to be replaced by a bout of laughter. “Oh, I see! I’m sorry for jumping to conclusions so carelessly!”

But... growing up in a forest? Nidai placed his fists on his sides and raised an eyebrow. Did he heard that one right? “You grew up in a forest? But earlier you claimed to be a gentleman. Not only that, you dress the part, too! Ghhhhh... THIS MAKES NO SENSE AT ALL!!” Nidai made a pause, then clicked his tongue as the cogwheels in his brain began to turn. “Unless...”
