I remember making tracklist after tracklist, obsessing over the right way to tell the story. I had to be ruthless with my choices, and I left behind some songs I am still unfailingly proud of now. Therefore, you have 6 From The Vault tracks! I recorded this album when I was 32 (and still growing up, now) and the memories it brought back filled me with nostalgia and appreciation. tron legacy is visual mastery literally everything about it is dripping in the most gorgeous, immaculate production design. things like drinks being colored according to the palette and lit in a way that makes it look like it glows. when things explode they turn into cubic techno dust and huge arcs of gooey electric colored magma. shots are symmetric and perfect and shiny. people ride bikes that leave behind trails of liquid neon glass. everything in the movie feels drenched in drama and sleekness. floors emit cold light that bathes everyone in a sort of frigidness. a dude who acts way too much like david bowie dances with a cane while laughing maniacally while a bad guy with DUAL WEAPONS crashes into a nightclub after skydiving with a suit of dragonfly wings that looks like its made out of scanlines and starts pulling out sick ass fighting moves. lights go out in sync with the music for no reason when a wise old mentor in a cloak enters the fight. its melodramatic and its excessive and its swaggering and its got a soundtrack by daft punk. its camp for bisexuals. its so good
