For as cautious as Ben tended to be, hiding in alleys and staying out of sight for his own safety, he couldn’t hide the concern he felt in finding somebody collapsed in the street. Lingering out in the open was worth helping someone that needed it. Kneeling by the other’s side on the footpath, a hand met their shoulder and gave a gentle shake. Were they unconscious? Did they need medical help?
☆. ┊ A groan signals Blake's return to consciousness, mismatched eyes slowly opening to meet the gaze of a boy he swears he's seen before. The thought is a fleeting one, because he's much more concerned about the migraine that threatens to split his head in two and the taste of sick on his tongue. It takes everything in him not to gag as he wipes his mouth on the back of his hand, carefully moving into an upright position, so as not to disturb his stomach anymore. Empty bottles of alcohol are scattered here and there, telling a pretty clear story of what had taken place before Ben's arrival.
