Hebron

The city is divided into 2 zones, H1 which is under Palestinian management, and H2 under the control of the Israeli military. In H2, movement for Palestinians is highly restricted: there are about 16 military check-points, barriers on the street separating Palestinians and settlers, and some roads that are completely closed for Palestinians, forcing them to take long detours.

In the lower section is the Palestinian Old City with the market, while the upper section has settlement homes. There is a net protecting the people and shops in the lower section from garbage, bottles and debris thrown down from the settlement.

Former entrance room of the Ibrahimi Mosque, where in 1994 the Israeli settler Baruch Goldstein opened fire, killing 29 and wounding 125 people worshippers.
