What If We Focus On What We Can Do Better Tomorrow?
We were taught how to compete since we were little.
Parents are always trying to compare their kids with others.
At school, students are given grade to measure how they performed. Putting us in competition with other students.
At work, managers always in the look of high performers. Who is the star of the team. Putting us in competition with our colleagues.
In business, companies always try to outdo their competitors. Putting pressure to business to keep it competitive, by cutting price, adding new features, etc.
The competition nature often distract us from our goal. It put lots of pressure because we want to stay relevant.
Here is my thought... instead of focusing on our competitors, what if we focus on making ourselves better tomorrow. Next month should be better than last month. And next year, I will be better than I am today.
Simply try to get better each day.
