My name is Hélène, and I’m a Swiss-born illustrator and concept artist.

I’m particularly interested in the Fantasy and Gothic horror genres, and I focus on drawing fantasy creatures and character art for role-playing games.

When I’m not wearing my illustrator’s hat, I work as a private drawing teacher and I’m also an enthusiastic D&D player! 🐲

In this blog you’ll find an archive of my works and you'll follow my artistic growth process; I’m not super active on social media, but when I post, I make sure to show how I put my heart into what I create and take the time needed to bring my imagination to life.

An old illustration of Aemond Targaryen that I drew when I was in art school (a few years ago now), shortly after the second season of House Of The Dragon had just come out. I remember that my professor was a fan and got really excited about it. I don’t know why I never published it.

The series recently returned with its third season!

The first episode really shook me up, especially when it came to this character. Ewan Mitchell is doing an incredible job, his Aemond is becoming more terrifying!

I’ve also reread the book over the last few weeks to refresh my memory on the canonical events.

Can't wait to see the next episode!

Doom Inquisitor

Dorarim Aschfall, my cleric of Kelemvor, wonderfully illustrated by the talented @helene-bianchi-illustrator

When his campaign ended I wanted a final piece symbolising his growth and how far he came. From a dhampir full of selfdoubts, unsure if he was deserving of Kelemvors favor, to the honoured Doom Inquisitor that finally came to terms with himself.

Hélène did an awesome job capturing that!

“The creature has been seen appearing in places where fires have broken out. It always perches in a high spot, simply observing the scene below. It has never shown hostility or interest toward the people present. At some point, without anyone noticing, it vanishes into thin air. It is unknown whether the fires are caused by the creature itself or if it is somehow drawn to them. Those who have spotted it describe it as a large bird with black plumage, its neck adorned with longer feathers. Its most peculiar feature is that its head consists solely of a perfectly stripped skull, within whose eye sockets two small lights glow like burning embers.”

Here is my second entry for @ dr.colod.animation contest on Instagram. This creature is based on a bird, the northern bald ibis, a species characterized by its bare, wrinkled head, surrounded at the back of the neck by longer feathers that give it a grim and aged appearance.

First entry for @ dr.colod.animation creature design contest on Instagram.

I based this creature on the babirusa, a wild pig native to Indonesia that has distinctive tusks which grow upward through the snout instead of emerging from the mouth.

I imagined it as much larger than its normal size, with an abnormal growth of tusks protruding from other parts of its body as well.
