I'm not gonna lie, ain't doing good. Job hunting have been so brutal and just had a money scare the other day. Nothing that will get the family and I homeless but stiiiill the risk is there.
My brain is thinking things just fine but the body doesn't listen to me. I start to write and then it starts going "BORED BORED BORED" and then I go down an unrelated rabbit hole for an hour.
Like that one event were Ra-on gets that horny disease and has to suck dick or they'll die? Have an idea for that where the Companion is always in front of the door like a statue while Ra-on is calling for their name. Beleth's hard as a rock but he knows when to behave.
A sequel piece where the Companion is in Ra-on's hospital bed, laying right next to him because if their friend is gonna die, they at least want Ra-on to not be alone regardless of how horny he is and how their body reacts with disgust. And nothing sex related happens, what he really wanted more than anything was to just cuddle the way they used to before he fucked it up. His brain is misfiring, bundling his intense need for emotional intimacy and cuddles with his natural horny-ness together. Naaaasty cocktail of emotions and reactions to have, made even worse with the disease he caught. And then he gets better.
Another piece regarding Lucifer's reaction to finally finding the Angelifed Companion. This one has too many routes to go down and it's leaving me with choice paralysis. I have no clue what I want to do with that but it's bouncing around in my head.
Lucifer and the Companion exchanging letters cause the Companion kinda refuses to get a phone that's compatible with Hell's cell reception. Cause the prices ALWAYS hike up as soon as they go to buy one, even with Ra-on there.
Something to do with Mammon regarding his Angelified arm during the whole Angelified Companion arc?? I have no clue on that and I'm open to ideas.
Lucifer's behavior after the Companion has been confirmed to be Angelifed cause for a while, they were simply missing. Just, what his general changes would be and if the other kings have noticed it or not and their respective feelings on that.
Asmodeus dipping into the sin of anger, just for the slightest of moments, when he suspects that the conversation is turning towards the "we must abandon/kill the Angelified Companion" side of things. Or when someone thinks they can slip in a "passing comment" regarding the Companion post angelification. Asmodeus is still smiling, but you can tell he's not happy with them. Love that shit.
Satan showing video recording of his epic stunts on his phone to the Companion and he's posed kinda in a cunty way while showing them, kinda freezing Ra-on in place as they walk by. Ra-on sketches it later and sends it in a group chat asking why Satan's posed that way and many devils go "oh they're FUCKING fucking." Comedic piece.

I remember seeing a post a while back where someone was complaining about the game's management, and you mentioned having your own "red flags" for this type of game; I’m quite curious to know a bit more about them.
I played quite a number of gacha games but have never spent any money on them besides one game, which is OG Arknights. I still play Arknights to this day. Not Endfield. I just... I can't with Endfield...

It all reeks of impatience. The devs aren't interested in gaining the trust of F2P players and hope that they start to pay, they actively pressuring the audience to either fucking leave or break out the wallet.
If there's more than one form of premium currency, that's a red flag. ESPECIALLY if they're adding it right in the middle of the game's life. Oh those already expensive bundle deals that had that old premium currency? Well, we're adding a new BETTER premium currency!!!! Aren't you happy!!! We're not gonna change the prices by the way, and if we do, we're not going that much cheaper.
I used to play limbus company but I ultimately dropped it because they put their premium currency behind a tedious rogue-like mode. I would love to play that mode on my off time, but because it's required to play, I just don't want to touch it. I have to play it if I want to get my gacha pulls in and that just saps the fun out of it. Arknights does have a tedious stage to play to get said premium currency, but once I complete it, I can just forget about it with a nice auto deploy as my reward for completing the stage, rather then the game grabbing me by the fucking head and saying "hey look at me if you want your currency fucker," like an abusive lover.
I've always hated gacha games that had a character you can pull and a weapon you can pull, especially if said weapon has randomized stats to pressure the audience into pulling for that PERFECT WEAPON. It's why I refuse to touch Arknights: Endfield, Genshin Impact and other similar games. Like, the more I see and hear of Arknights: Enfield, the more I'm just baffled by it. Endfield, Arknights but for my Genshin Impact brother who told me he wanted something "more serious but I don't actually want to pay that close attention."
That being said, the combined fucking pools. God I HATE THOSE. I hate when the bloated pool gets even more bloated with weapons of all things. With your already minuscule savings, you pull and you get a weapon!!! A WEAPON!!! NOt the CHARACTER, a WEAPON that you don't CARE FOR! It's just a fucking excuse to frustrate the player, to get them angry enough to hopefully pull out their wallet and buy from their store so you can POTENTIALLY pull for your character. Or hit the pity system that's also too fucking high for the tiny amounts of Premium Currency you get, banking on you running out at about 100 pulls so you can buy. Tee hee you didn't get your character, that's okaaaaaay, you can wait MONTHS for the card to appear in the pool.
...see, the thing that made me quit the game entirely, the last straw that made me wipe this thing from my tablet was the pay walled past story events. Story events that I already played through and read through. Because the devs don't care and want to squeeze out dollars from you. Oh you want me to tell the story again? Well *toes line in the sand* you're gonna have to give me 2 bucks, is that okay???
Really? Really???? What's next, are you gonna release story events that only Nightmare Pass buyers can enjoy???
Oh yeah, and maintenance rewards. Just stamina. That's it. If there is premium currency, it's about 5 or 15. Just, ugh. It's irritating. I haven't been on that game in a while so I have no clue what changes have been made mechanics wise.
But yeah, I have a lot of feelings regarding gacha games. I don't have a gambling problem luckily, so these tactics being used to pressure me into buying their things don't do anything besides irritate me. Like a fly that only says "hey hey, I hate you, you're not buying anything, don't you wanna buy things?? Come on, you love this character right? You want it right? Then buy it, it'll be so much easier you cheap piece of shit."
Oh yeah and another red flag, the "HEY YOU WANNA BUY THIS BUNDLE IT'LL BE GONE IF YOU DON'T GET IT NOW NOW NOW!" shoved right into my face as a fucking advertisement. That's the big main reason I dropped Cookie Run Kingdom long before the whole NFT thing those devs wanted to do.
Oh and I'm seeing that something is going down in Love and Deepspace? I had it downloaded on tablet at one point but... it has that problem that 3D mobile games have where they're pouring EVERYTHING into graphics. Making shit as pretty as possible to cover up the fact that they're doing a not-so-good job on the story. And then act like soap opera levels of drama and angst are what makes a story good??? And then the fandom believes it????? Writing wise... it's passable. That's it. It's a passable otome game that had the fortune of tapping into an untapped market. And it's failings are starting to show through. Also doesn't help that these very highend graphics smell of budget mismanagement. This amount of money being poured into graphics cannot be sustainable. I just don't trust overly detailed 3D graphics, especially in a gacha game.
So yeah, gacha games. Suuuuper picky about them. The other gacha game that I play is Tokyo Afterschool Summoners, who's demographic is mostly made up of gay men, mostly. So you got a lot of big, fat, hairy men to pull from, and I love it. My tastes in fictional men are vast. I love bara artists doing their bara thing. Gamewise, it's not that fun but I have read all of the story and side stories that have been translated.

Hmm well, ignoring the fact that the game is trying to shove their multiverse bullshit in my face as a means to force me to be interested in their other games so I can “get all the lore they totally didn’t pull out of their ass,” the Companion would be a teacher, which would be a thing to tip Ra-on off that something is wrong.
Ra-on would encounter them yanking Asmodeus by the tie out of the classroom before throwing him on the floor. They want to beat the shit out of him but he’s obviously horny for it and this “perfect world” would undoubtedly give them consequences if they’re seen making a fellow teacher bleed. Even if said teacher does want it.
Lucifer still keeps his whole “admired but avoided by the student populous while also not giving two shits” air about him. As soon as the bell rings and his gym class ends, the first thing Lucifer does is head towards the hall, towards the class the Companion is teaching in.
“Hey, why do you think Lucifer turns down all those clubs? He could make it anywhere if he just tried a little bit!”
“…well, you didn’t hear this from me, but I heard it’s because someone’s a little teacher’s pet. And he doesn’t want club activities to cut into his time with his favorite teacher.”
“No fucking way. Him? Come on, man. Give me the real reason.”
“I’m just saying what I heard!”
“Do we even have a teacher that’s good enough for him? I mean, there’s Mr. Asmodeus but…”
“I’m pretty sure it’s that one literature teacher that Mr. Asmodeus bothers. You know, the one we thought was married to him but turns out they weren’t.”
“…really? You’re not just guessing?”
“I promise you I’m not. Like, gimme your head for a sec. Look over there.”
“Ow. Where?”
“There. Theeeeere, the third window, on the second floor.”
“…oh my god.”
“Yeah.”
“He’s carrying their coat.”
“Mm-hmm.”
“And organizing their supplies!”
“Yup, yup.”
“And they’re talking, and he’s replying!”

“We gotta tell the club. This shit is too juicy.”
“I don’t know man, I don’t want to get in trouble with the teacher. And if we get in trouble with them, wouldn’t we end up in trouble with him?”
“…yeah you know what? Good point. This moment never happened.”
“We’ll keep it locked away, safe in our hearts.”
It’s not really a secret that Lucifer follows the Companion around, but because he’s a touch too intimidating for a lot of folks, they don’t say anything or ask questions to the people involved. They don’t wanna risk any of their wraths.
So how would the Companion be like in this role as a literature teacher? Pretty focused at the task at hand, all things considered. More than likely Asmodeus managed to drag their ass into this constructed reality because he knows that if he’s to win this bet, then he needs them there. The rest of the devils kings(sans Lucifer) are confident that Ra-on will choose to stay in Hell in the end and will leave the fantasy. Asmodeus… not so much.
Lucifer and Asmodeus have that in common, at least. For all of Asmodeus’s love for sexual escapades in every polar extreme, his lust does not blind him. It does not paint a false image over Ra-on. Asmodeus enjoys Ra-on precisely because he’s so indulgent to the point of ignoring everything else, of damaging everything else.
Asmodeus knows that Ra-on doesn’t know the devil kings at all beyond what they like in bed. He only has surface information at best. Though to be fair to him, it’s not as if the devils have spent any time doing any kind of deep internal self-reflection. That’s just not in the nature of devils, of the social structures they live in. Self-reflection is more of a human thing, and it’s fascinating to Asmodeus that this Ra-on is so… avoidant to it. He shuts it down, either by focusing on the nearest eye candy or putting himself through a guilt spiral until everything shuts up. Indulgence or self-flagellation. Fun! Always, aaaalways running.
Companion is stress to say the least. They’ve come to expect a bunch of bullshit from the various devils, both physical and magical-ish, but an entire constructed reality? It kinda gets them a little sick, the fact that they have access to this at all. And if they put it together that this entire thing is a fucking bet that Asmodeus started just because he wanted to pretend to be a teacher… they would be disappointed. Not shocked, certainly, but heavily disappointed. Just, the biggest slap to the face that “Yup. King of Lust. What did I expect?”
And then the Companion give Asmodeus the biggest verbal slap to the face with a quiet, tired, “Thanks, for reminding me exactly who you are.”
You fucked up Asmodeus. You fuuuucked uuuuuup. Doing the exact thing that the Companion hates the most: risking everybody else for the sake of something only you want.
Anyway Ra-on does worse whenever he’s in the Companion’s class. Like, a lot worse. He goes back to his actual self instead of the power-fantasy version of himself, which obviously gets him clinging to this crafted reality even harder to forget the humiliation. He can’t help but be hyper-aware of every little thing he does every time the Companion is in the same room, cause they refuse to look away from it.
Also doesn’t help that the first time he showed his perfect self to the Companion, they sighed. A low, tired sigh, entirely unimpressed. Not a spark of happiness and that makes Ra-on’s heart drops.
Of course the Companion wouldn’t like this perfect self. It’s not his. It’s not earned. It’s not real. It’s a bad wound dressing, it not going to heal anything. It’s just another indulgence.
Anyway, this event will be fun to rewrite with my version of Ra-on and the Companion inserted in there. This constructed reality can be used to really cut into the core of my Ra-on issues, while also showcasing the exact parts within that horrifically flawed self that the Companion sees potential in.
Summary: The stumps on Lucifer's wings have become full fledged wings once more. You were not aware that they just do that. And rather than just instantly ripping them out, Lucifer invites you to touch them.
(Ough been a while since my brain's been willing to write for anything. I feel rustyyyyyyy. Have this tender piece! Enjoy!)
“So they just… pop out? Completely recovered?”
“They do.”
“That…” you scratched the back of your neck, “that sucks.” No point in trying to put it delicately. That straight up sucks.
“I wanted this, so there’s no need for pity.”
“…of course you do.” You pinched the bridge of your nose because what were you expecting? Every angel you’ve ever seen, in and off the battlefield, have this weird… preference, almost, for self-punishment. Penance, as you’ve heard it called. Built into the very foundation of their worship. Hurting themselves because that’s what it means to be faithful, apparently.
Punish yourself enough and you’ll finally be on the right path. You’ll finally be rewarded. And you’ll finally be forgiven.
But you’re not thousands of years old. Nor are you nigh-impossible to kill. And you’ve been around Lucifer long enough to know that all of this comes with the package of befriending him. They’re not your wings, nor do you really know of the full scope of his baggage, so you can’t exactly ask him to stop.
Besides, it’s not really pity. You’re just baffled, at the extent of which angels, and all that grew up with them, are willing to hurt themselves. Is it just built into their being or was it encouraged?
Or… does it just not matter to them?
“Well, you’re gonna rip them out, right?” Because you’ve only ever seen your friend with those stumps bleeding. You kinda just assumed that they were eternally like that, and not that they regrow back spontaneously.
Lucifer made a noise that you knew to be confirmation.
His wings twitched and it made you aware of just how large those feathers of his are, wide and voluminous things that they were. Lucifer was barely waking up and it showed in the minute lag of his responses. In the lazy shuffling and light stretching of his limbs and wings.
It felt weird, witnessing just how at ease Lucifer is with moving his wings when he’s inevitably going to rip them out again. And again, until he finally decides to stop. Also doesn’t help that you’re just used to those bleeding stumps of his. As bad as that is, you have debated asking him if you can just… rip out that one curving bone that just sticks out of him. But you didn’t say anything, cause that’s not your bone.
You got up from your chair, place directly across from Lucifer in this protected greenhouse. “Alrighty, don’t let me stop you.” You’ll probably get Gamigin to get some towels or something. Or run a bath cause it’s going to get bloody. Unless Lucifer’s also the kind to let it all dry into a crusty mess like you’ve seen a lot of other devils do after a battle. Though in his case it would probably be out of a sheer lack of energy. Probably.
“You’re not curious?”
“Hmm? About what?” You were halfway into your jacket.
Lucifer was sitting up straighter, right on the edge of his seat, like he was going to get up to trail after you. He opened his wings wide, feathers barely missing the ground, nearly overtaking his side of this little greenhouse. “My wings.”
“Well, sure. What about it?” Is he…?
“You can feel them.” Not a single twitch to be found, in his voice or face. Said it with the same air he has when giving you his half of his overabundant breakfast. Well, more like pushed it towards you, but still. It applies.
Because his feathers were brushing against your forearms, exposed to the air after you rolled your sleeves up. Back and forth, back and forth, oh so gently. Almost as if he’s testing the waters.
“I… don’t think I’ll mind.” Lucifer’s eyes narrowed, aimed at your arms, your hands, and then you finally got it.
“Alrighty then. Why not? It’s not like I got anywhere to be.” You’re going to go along with it, naturally. Your friend’s trying to poke a hole in this bubble of his. Figure out where his comfort begins and ends, see if anything’s changed at all. And he’s trusting you enough to do that little experiment, even if he’s going about it in a roundabout way.
“Do as you please.” Settling his left wing on your arm, Lucifer tipped his head back and closed his eyes. Seemingly nonchalant, but you know that he’s keeping his senses open.
First thing you did was strum down his primary feathers, like you were walking through a street of wind chimes just waiting to be played with. They bent back, the vane parting in thin strips but blended back into place just as quickly with a subtle shiver. It was minute, but you caught the momentary pause in Lucifer’s breath. The slight lifting of his chest but nothing screamed danger.
And so you walked in a bit, let your fingers play around with the layer above his lowest feathers. Here, the warm of his body, of the shoulders of his wings was clear. Lucifer wasn’t a devil that ran hot. Body temperature was always a little on the cool side, probably on the account of all the blood he’s losing on a daily basis. Even with all the time he spends basking in the sun’s rays, he barely hotter than a tepid glass of water. You parted the layers, let your fingers tap on the quills just because you could, and hummed when Lucifer stretched his wing out some more. Not quite ramrod straight but getting there.
Your friend was still sitting perfectly still, face to the skies and soaking in the sunlight, like his wings were simply acting on their own.
Step by step, you walked down, palm feeling over the muscles twitching beneath all the soft plumage, barely putting any weight into it. You keep a careful eye on Lucifer’s neck, shoulders and hands. Waiting for any kind of change, for any tension that’s liable to snap and make Lucifer want to crawl inwards into his skin.
The tightness was there, but only in ripples. Slight jumps, but the closer you get, the more spaced out they were. Lucifer hasn’t fully relaxed, not with that ghost of a frown, but he’s not about to jump out of his seat to get away.
Finally, you were in front of him. Between his legs and completely covering his sun. Lucifer opened his eyes just as you laid your hands on his most intimate feathers. You tugged his after-feathers, just a light one, and you saw a hint of his teeth bite into his bottom lip.
You pulled back with a smile. “Reached your limit, huh?”
Lucifer took a deep breath in, and breathed out on your shirt. He hummed with a nod.
“Okay then.” You shrugged your shoulder and made to back off, but you spotted Lucifer lifting his hands. He placed them above your wrists, then caressed upwards, smoothing his palms over your skin. His fingers slid inside your rolled up sleeves and he gripped the back of your arms. “Hmm.”
Lucifer lingered on your face, the tight corners his lips finally relaxing. He pulled you in and embraced you with both his arms and wings.
Okay so I've already talked about what sins the Siblings would be aligned with they're not really important for now
In Angelification au
Backstory is that after the death of their parents the siblings were gonna seperated among relatives cause no one wanted all 3 kids nor could look after all 3 but Riona basically fought tooth and nail to keep him and his siblings together, choosing to quit his education to look after his siblings
Later on catching the eyes of exorcist due to that fact the supernatural and stuff are drawn to the siblings due to their blood line.
Even when they were young, the siblings could see devils and stuff but ignored them thinking it was some boogyman sorta stuff.
So Riona is trained as an exorcist/priest despite not being religious because it pays good to risk his life and it pays for his sibling's lives.
Yuki completes their education unlike Riona, funded by Riona and Yun’s education is also funded by Riona, the three set into a new normal, with Riona working almost constantly and Yuki picking up the slack and helping around by opening an at home clinic.
Yun's the only one not working or being “useful” their lack of magic is another sore spot which does create a bit of distance.
Then while on a job, Riona gets a call from Yun explaining how Yuki has gone missing and basically abandons his work to go find Yuki because he basically only lives for his siblings at this point.
He enters the crime scene, it's a mess of blood and white feathers he doesn't know from where.
Riona kinda breaks, getting violent as he spends weeks, months looking for Yuki, the type of angry that motivated you to carry knuckleduster and a gun around.
So the initial meeting with the Angel is “messy” and Satan eventually finds Riona and the whole whisked into Hell thing happens with a bit of manipulation of saying that Yuki was probably taken (not killed) by the angels and it's enough to motivate Riona to get involved.
This version of the story has Riona more teeth and bite, he's a lot more willing to get down to the grit needed to get his sibling back.
Which means he doesn't quite bond with the devils and any fondness he shows is either brief or a fake mask to motivate the devils to do better against the Angels.
Luckily Yuki is alive
Unfortunately Yuki would be the one to be Angelified first.
I haven't figured out the of the timeline of events
But I did work out how the 3 siblings would be once Angelified
Yun would be called the Thorned and their angel form would make them look malnourished as their spine is split open into teeth and a long bony tail, the edges of the split being full of feathers and wings, they're usually hunched over like a creature and also move like one.
Yuki would be called the Voice Less, they look more ethereal but that's only cause they have wings covering their face, they resemble a lamb but once their wings pull back it reveals that like a mantis or spider, they have mandibles and the wings themselves are basically pseudo mandibles where the feathers are sharp and grab things
Riona befittingly is called the Brood, he is large and has a centaur lower half from the waist down that is draconic but with lots of feathers and stuff.
Riona moves very slowly and also despite his large size, doesn't attack
Whenever Heaven attacks Hell, Riona usually lands at the highest point of the current Region and watches Yuki and Yun tear into everyone, following them and only growing aggressive when either of them are actually in danger, the under half of his body, the underbelly of you will, has a mouth of jagged teeth hidden under the feathers, that open up.
Riona has definitely kidnapped people, Angels and devils.
All three siblings have Teeth Motifs due to their Sins
Riona has Lust and Wrath, I think of it as something like Devour of all that Feel
Yuki is Gluttony and Sloth, They devour for the sake of eating, just because they can.
Yun is Envy and Pride, The Devour of Hopes and Dreams
There is a lot more details but this is getting too bulky so I'm gonna end this here
Another neat detail I have is that Ra-On does exist in the same universe as the trio
Since Riona was never supposed to fully replace Ra-On
I like the messy dynamic between the two descendents with such similar stories yet such different coping mechanisms

Ough sorry for the late reply, got distracted by putting on a new theme for the blog because the old theme wasn't working the way I wanted it to.
Here's how it looks. Had a lot of fun messing around with it, and I will probably continue messing around with it if I see anything that bothers me but for now, this be the look!

Oh poor Riona, being forced to grow up way too fast for the sake of the younger ones, alongside the fact that not many wanted to respect the kiddos wishes of wanting to stay together. That'll do a number on a person, usually without them knowing.
I actually have a number of priest-like characters just floating around in my brain matter. Haven't placed them in their own custom world just yet but I will eventually.
Seeing supernatural shit all the time, imagine if they're prone to sleep paralysis episodes and see the sleep paralysis demons and also just shrug those off. Or they see the manifestation of their dead parents shadow just off in the corner, unable to move, unable to help. Lots of trauma buttons to potentially pick at.
Riona and Yuki sound like a pair of incredibly competent individuals, tempered by the fact that they had to be this way as a result of their circumstances. Which also chains into Yun's number of sore spots. The feeling of stagnation is a difficult feeling to live with. That much I know.
Ah Riona, you're gonna get put through the wringer, huh? When a creature can't lie, they have to get creative with their words and implications. It's always fun, having to keep that little rule in the back of one's head.
And just when things were about to go his way, the angelification starts. Wuh-oh.
In game mechanics, I'm justing imagining the angelified angels as this big raid boss, complete with multiple phases as their health goes down. Damage Yuki and Yun enough and you get Riona to enter a classic rage mode that both beefs up the attack and increases the damage he takes. Each sibling has a different effect going on that can really screw you over if you're not fast enough to take care of it. Yuki probably cuts down the attack speed of the units while Yun's slows down the charging time of skills. They cannot be ignored so best to take them down first.
Better be prepared for Riona though, he will hit like a truck if you're not beefing up the defenses or dodges. If you manage to get both siblings down within a certain time frame, you'll get a decent amount of stun before the anger mode sets in on the angelified Riona.
Oh Ra-on, the mess you are. It's always fun to see what's going to happen next!

So I was doing Riona up which inevitably got me back into this fandom slightly, not particularly the fandom but this blog.
I wrote a split story to the Sibling Trios story if you wanna hear that, it's mostly set more into Angelification au and involves the entire thing taking place in Whb instead of the siblings being in different universes.
I also assigned the siblings sins cause why not.
Riona very obviously for some reason stands to me that he would be ironically Wrath and Lust, mostly Wrath though.
Yuki was the hardest for me to assign sins to for some reason, maybe cause they're made after the Obey Me MC and also the sins I assigned them fit the other two more but Yuki ended up with Gluttony and maybe Sloth.

A story set in the Angelification AU??? Hoho tell me more! I don't mind, people talking about their OCs and their creations and stories. It gets my feet kicking cause "people want to yap about their stuff?? with me??? Yes!" Just an instant flood of the good chemicals.
Nothing has been happening to me for the past year and I too feel tired. Lack of stimuli does things to a person. And a body. My joints have not been loving me and unless I sit a certain way at my desk, it gets my elbow pulsing with a dull pain. Also got bitten by three mosquitos and my skeeter syndrome has me wracked with a need to itch but caaaan't.
So please, distract me with the story you have cooking up, I am very curious!
Cause why not? Same frame and facial structure but Uniel keeps his hair tied back in a high tail and probably has some clean facial hair, haven’t really decided yet.
Uniel has complicated thoughts about his younger twin.
He thinks him…ignorant, blind to anything but that light he holds so closely.
His younger brother is the more famous one for basically embodying the ideals of heaven. Of being the “perfect role model” for all the other younger angels to aspire to. And there’s much to be said about what it means to be an ideal, a reachable ideal, compared to the kind of ideal that Lucifer and the Seraphim represent. Lucifer and the Seraphim are, specifically, the idols of worship, and anyone that attempts to be like them are committing a blasphemous sin. They are sacred and you cannot touch upon them, the best you can be is to be a loyal servant.
Which is why the angels latched onto Usiel as much as they did.
Heaven is a very messed up place and to end up being called an ideal says a lot. So, yes, Usiel is a compassionate angel that always adopted those that lost their parents, but he’s also the same compassionate angel that brought his children to war. Because he sees this war as a divine right, a holy and sacred act to be dedicated to their missing god and the Seraphim.
He didn’t discourage it, if anything, he’s proud that his children would want to fight by his side. This war, this taking of lives does not ring wrong to him, and he does not doubt his Seraphim.
This is where he and Uniel differ. Uniel wants nothing more than for this war to end, for Heaven to just stop. Uniel has his own children, or at least has wards that he protects and he does not want them in war. He doesn’t even want them to pick up a weapon if he can help it. He wants them to stay in Heaven, explore the place and get to know an age of peace that was robbed from both him and Usiel.
“Loyalty. That’s what made up the base of his being. Blind loyalty that sows ignorance in both himself and of his children.”
“If there is one thing I can never forgive him for, it’s teaching his children that war will always be their future.”
“I walked in Paradise Lost before, bought sweet bread from the gnarled hands of an old demon. Danced to a duet between devil and angel. I can’t replicate the recipe, and the lyrics of that song have long since faded from memory.”
Anyway I want the end result to be that he takes Lemiel’s head. Shaved his face, let down his hair and let Lemiel believe that this was his Godfather back from the dead, or at least a specter that has refused to visit him until now, and now he’s here to finally give him comfort.
Cruel, yes, but Lemiel doesn’t know him like Uniel does. Lemiel wants approval, wants forgiveness, wants so badly for his vengeance to be something he can be proud of. He embraces Uniel.
And Uniel says “All of this, for my sake? You tore apart the minds of my children, for my sake?”
That kind of thing.
Anyway, at the moment, he’s currently hiding out in Paradise Lost, one of the gardeners of the greenhouse Lucifer and the Embittered Companion like to hang out in. He’s a quiet presence and will not say a word and even goes out of his way to say anything. If he feels that someone is approaching, he’ll simply bow and move out of the way and into the shadows. Probably in a devil disguise.
Lucifer knows he’s an angel, he knows that he sneaks off to do who knows what but doesn’t say a thing. Turns a blind eye to it, basically, while Uniel goes off and sneaks into Heaven with the explicit purpose of smuggling as many deserters out as possible. Many of said deserters tend to be young, children usually.
And the excuse given about the presence of devil children when there haven’t been any in a while is “they’re from a clan that’s been cursed with extremely slow growth.”
As to what his relationship would be like with the Companion... yeah I have no clue what would be the most interesting or fun.
And that’s all on the brain. I might have more in there somewhere but I need to be asked or poked about it. This mass of gray matter has trouble jump-starting itself sometimes.

You and me both buddy, and when I do end up fixating on something, I end up in a whole different realm of creative paralysis. It is hell. I have simple OC ideas but don't have the motivation to develop them further.

Right now I'm just trying to see how I can fit Usiel into my custom Embittered Companion narrative cause I like how he looks too much. I cannot help my love for long haired and muscled peeps. It's all just vague, unformed thoughts. Nothing I can really grasp.
The simplest solution would be to just give Usiel the classic "he 'died' but actually he survived and has amnesia and has made a whole different life for himself," because my brain is fixated on the idea of him being a farmer? Or a gardener? Just someone that grows life and nurtures it. And slap those denim booty shorts onto him, checkered shirt and straw hat, for my entertainment.
And then my brain stops there, until someone pokes it with a random question and suddenly I am a machine.
Embittered Companion slowly and unintentionally amassing a group of wayward angels that it causes tension with the other kings, such as Beelzebub implying that they might turn traitor, or open up an opportunity for angels invade whatever place the Companion is in.
If I got Beelzebub's vibes right, he really only said an impulsive thought out loud and isn't going to do much other than just wait and watch. Doesn't actually think the Companion is going betray Hell, but he's also aware that their loyalty isn't entirely with the kings. And he will admit he got a bit of a bitter taste in his mouth when Lucifer ended up being the devil the Companion relaxes around the most.
He just thinks they might be too naive, too trusting.
(Dude has a skewed view on the Companion basically, while thinking there's something special and strong about my Ra-on. Biaaaaaaased little fuck.)

More under the cut, I ramble about the Embittered Companion and what their opinions on Solomon would be.
The Gaap story isn't all that crazy, it's kinda chill in comparison actually, and gets boring when it brings in the MC cause they gotta fuck him by the end of the day. Like, that's clearly the goal. And I can't help but think how, when the Companion finds out that in order for a devil to be part of the 72 echelon, they have to make a contract with someone related to Solomon via fucking, how much that would just warp their opinion on Solomon.
An entire structure of power, of class of devils, decided by Solomon back when he was alive. Of course he would only pick the most beautiful devils to bind and hoard for himself like fucking playing cards. Of course he'd only give benefits to the devils that catch his attention. Of course the consequences don't hit him until after Solomon dies. If he died peacefully, then that's another layer of selfishness to be examined. Had all this time to undo everything just so the devils don't stay stuck to his ties, but doesn't because he wasn't thinking of the consequences. Put it all out of his mind and shut it out under the excuse that he has other things to worry about. He'll get back to it, eventually. Eeeeeventually. Oops he died, sowwy!
Though, that's assuming he died a natural death and wasn't suddenly murdered or died of a very quick disease.
Anyway...
The profound selfishness just embedded within devil culture itself, that is quite literally stifling the devils' ability to govern themselves and fight back against the angels is juicy. And I have to utilize it. Really does put into perspective what they mean when they say they "love selfish people." They met a human so selfish that he's guaranteeing that they'll slowly die a quiet death once he's gone.
Initial opinions were mostly neutral for the Companion, if a little annoyed that their friend was given some responsibility by the ghost of a long dead human. Eventually that sours when Solomon took over Ra-on's body for a little bit just to talk with some of the devils. The Companion is sharp, they would know the instant Solomon is in there.
And finally, when they understand how devils are picked to be nobles, and the whole ceremony that goes behind it, it would go to downright disgust. A devil can only rise through the ranks by being hot?! And if you're not hot, then you'll never be anything more than a regular devil citizen, a lackey to the other 72. And you will be locked out of those ranks if you don't want to fuck Solomon or his descendants. No benefits for you, you sexless freak!!!
"Devils are fucking dumb and Solomon's a piece of shit." Would be the opinion afterwards. Because, come on, the devil kings are the ones that allowed and enforced this structure to be in place. The 72 devils could've been just a random smattering of devil all over the place that lead their own lives, but nope, the kings keep them all close at hand, and had given them some kind of political power, further ensuring that "only the strong can rule the weak" structure they have going on that constantly leads to the devils almost always starting a war.
It's all very unfair to the Companion and they will make it known. Just, so many selfish decisions made by both parties that leads to this colossal mess that they and Ra-on are dragged in. They have a right to be pissed about it all.
I have seen the new cards! I am... I don't like how muscular they made Leviathan. His smooth body was pretty nice and a trait that kinda set him apart from everyone else. Boo...
Laying in bed. Trapped by too many fantasies and a deep need to talk to someone without worrying about being overbearing and needing said someone to engage with me back.
Oh and I'm making brownies.
And thinking about Gaap side story and how it's a liiiiiittle fucked up that Solomon tied himself so tightly into the culture of the devils that they're basically sitting ducks, fated to be in stagnation unless one of his descendants is there. Which is a very shit expectation to place upon his children. You know, fun things to think about.
Ooh what if companion was the one who started to sprout a pair of cat ears n tail? I think their reaction would be pretty funny lol
The ears and tail sprout in the middle of making fun of Satan for his own cat ears and tail, and they go "don't. Say. A fucking. Thing."
Of course, Satan won't shut up and he starts cackling like a witch and receives a face-full of chair. Or whatever furniture the Companion can grab. See, this is why Satan has taken such a shine to them. They're so funny!
"I... I wanna touch," so says Ra-on, and feels his entire existence shrink down to a little pin-point under the force of the Companion's glare. "I'm... sorry.
"If this is somehow your fault, you're gonna be."
I can imagine that, through out the day, Satan's tail tries to wrap around the Companion's tail and their ears go flat every time before kicking him in the side. Distance you touchy motherfucker. Satan knows what he's doing, purposefully indulging in all the cat instincts just to mess with the Companion. Acts cute to get them irritated. Because he wants them to bite. Their teeth have never been sharper and he wants to know!
Best day of his life, that's for sure. You know, besides the day he was first bitten by the Companion.
So how we feeling about the new valentines day event
Companion would probably laugh at the cat ears, which would make Ra-on scramble to cover his drool cause "oh shit you're laughing, it's not supposed to be hot," and pretend he wasn't about to pounce on cat Satan. You know, classic social mirroring.
And then Companion hit him right in the head with a "hey, is your dick barbed?" Assuming this is post Companion becoming amiable with everyone.
What did the devs do this time? How did their attempts to write him in an "interesting" way flop right in their faces this time?
Anyway, lemme get some of my headcanon thoughts of Asmondeus in.
If they wanted to write him in an interesting way, the devs could've easily explored how despite all of the other devil king's disgust towards him, they can't deny that they indulge in his domain. Indulging in lust, and that, in and of itself, gives Asmondeus power. And the other devil kings don't want to admit it, so they try to hide that behind layers of disgust and disinterest.
In a weird way, that would imply Asmondeus is the closest to being a devil king, because literally every other devil down in Hell bump uglies any chance they can get. He is lust personified and it is inescapable no matter where you go. Doesn't mean that would be the right choice, but the advantage can't be ignored.
Oh yeah but all the devil kings also hold "kingly pride" in some way, don't they? Yeah no wonder Lucifer and Asmondeus are sorta isolated from the main group, at least socially. No one wants to admit how strong their domains influence the others, so gotta kick them out.
But no, we can't have that, that implies that the devil kings aren't all TOP DOGS and that would overcomplicate the situation in an actual interesting way.
Anyways, I'm not implying that Asmondeus is the most powerful at the moment, it's a rock-paper-scissors type of situation. Leviathan constantly holding anger as a result of his envy, Mammon indulging in sloth as a result of all his wealth that he can just use, you know, that kind of thing. All influenced by each other in one way or another.

The sickness has luckily passed very quickly, just hacking up some mucus. Also! I have found a new kitten! After three days of getting it to trust me! Real small kitten too. Now to just get it adjusted to my other cats, which will take a while. Probably. I can't tell with this creature, she is adjusting shockingly quick. Day one in my house and she's already sleeping on my leg.
