What would be a good corrupted form for a spinel? They are generally tall and have long limbs, they work as scientists and experimenters

Spinels would be a wasp with long limbs and a long pointy stinger. Since the actual stone has the ability to remove poison from the body, it would be a cool idea if you had them poison whoever gets hit by the stinger or bitten or whatever else you can do to give something poison.
