“hey remember the first time we met?” you giggled. the dinner had been entirely silent until you spoke up. it’s not that you were complaining, the fact your fiancé even agreed to have a meal at home instead of going out to some new expensive restaurant was a feat in itself. in fact, you’re pretty sure the only reason he agreed was because you said that you could order something and light up some candles to set a romantic mood.
“y/n~,” haechan dragged out your name, “you know i don’t like that story,” he pouted. it’s not that he didn’t actually like the story, he was just embarrassed and slightly ashamed of the circumstances of how you two met.
“but it’s funny,” you chortled, “you practically bought me a three course meal just so i would move.”
“you know i was really annoyed that day right?” donghyuck mused, “i had just gotten back from practice where the teacher would not stop telling me i was doing everything wrong.”
“i know, i know,” you sighed, “but i can’t believe you came up to me just to say ‘excuse me, you’re in my spot.”
“i did not say it like that,” he interrupted.
“okay, but that was the vibe i got,” you smirked.
meeting haechan was quite the experience. it was a day in late november when the temperature went below freezing. you expected much warmer weather considering how colourful it was still outside and ended up dressing in only a sweater with a light jacket over it. the cold quickly became unbearable when the sun dipped below horizon so you shuffled to the nearest cafe, ordered a hot drink and sat down. you must’ve sat down for five minutes at the most, scrolling through social media before an exasperated man tapped your shoulder. immediately sensing your distress his look softened and he lowered his mask to let you see his full face.
“i’m sorry for disturbing you but normally i sit here. would you mind moving? i’m apart of a kpop group and tend to get people swarming around me if i’m facing them,” he looked away, embarrassed he even had to ask for something as stupid as this.
deciding that just because he was a celebrity, your celebrity crush no less, you would not be moving for him. “i know who you are, and i’m sorry i won’t be moving.”
donghyuck was never one to back down so he decided he would compromise. he pulled up a chair on the side of the table and put down his stuff, “seems we’ll be having dinner together,” he mumbled.
“ah, i can’t believe you were silent for ten minutes. i didn’t even find out you had a crush on me until we had been dating for one month!” he said, slightly aggravated.
“well i didn’t want you to think i was only dating you because you were a celebrity!” you retorted.
that was just how your relationship was, always filled with joke arguments that brought you closer in the end.
