Started a new fic draft !! (it's still Very early on, and I can never be sure when/if I'll actually finish a draft I start lol but) my last fic about Boober having another alter just made me feel like writing a fic with Boober's little alter in it. The idea is basically, since this alter almost Never fronts, this is Wembley's first time interacting with him (and Wembley doesn't really understand at first what's going on, like he doesn't know Boober has another alter), and he is not doing well when Wembley finds him :(
("Boober?" He called again, looking around the room one last time. He was just about to turn to leave, and go check with his friends if any of them had seen Boober yet today or knew where he was now, when he heard a soft noise. He froze and listened. Then he heard it again, a bit louder this time, and he recognized what it was. He followed the sound of whimpering to Boober's bed, and realized that Boober was hiding, not underneath the covers, but underneath the bed itself "B-Boober, a-are you okay, buddy?" He asked softly, terribly worried for his friend as he kneeled down next to the bed and lifted the cover up to peek under at him. Boober was curled up into a ball, hugging his knees tightly to his chest and trembling horribly..His heart broke at the sight "H-Hey, it's..it's a-alright..I-It's gonna be okay, Boober, I-I'm here now.." He tried to reassure Boober as best he could, without knowing what was wrong, but in response to his voice Boober just curled in on himself even more, continuing to whimper and sniffle..His heart ached even worse.."..D-Do you, uhm..Do you wanna c-come out from there and..and m-maybe, uhm..t-talk about it, or, uh..?" He asked, trailing off uncertainly. Boober didn't respond for a moment, and then he just simply shook his head "O-Oh, well..Okay..Th-That's alright..! I-I'll just..be here whenever you're ready to, 'kay?" He said. Boober remained quiet again, for much longer this time, but then eventually he gave a hesitant nod of acknowledgement. After that they sat together in silence. He felt tense for a while, unsure if he was doing the right thing by keeping quiet..He'd feel so awful if he was actually making Boober feel worse by not saying anything..But he also knew that sometimes Boober just needed a minute to work through his thoughts, and that others trying to talk him through it just made him feel even more overwhelmed..So he stayed quiet, and hoped that him just being there made Boober feel at least a little better. Some time later Boober's whimpers died down and he stopped trembling as badly. He sighed in relief as Boober finally crawled out from under the bed and sat down across from him "Y-You need a hug?" He asked, giving Boober an encouraging smile..)
