I made a note of this at the end of my 2025 EOY list, but my goal for 2026, in terms of the music I plan to listen to and what I currently have in my library, is to be more consistent intentional with the music I consume.

I have yet to make the release calendar, so I have no idea what is coming out this year (except for the four reviews I am working on this month), but I want to make sure that I am able to make time to enjoy the music I listen to.

2026 (Music) Goals

Purposely listen to music that I might have missed in 2025 (I prepared the list before writing my EOY list)

Re-familiarize myself with music I already have and have forgotten about.

Get more into death-doom, since I am most familiar with melodic death-doom (i.e. Swallow the Sun, Hanging Garden) and I want to see what else is out there.

I am going to pin this at the top of my blog so I can see it and make sure that I am able to accomplish one of these goals.

alright I've got to do some quick math to explain attitudes towards AI to my boss.

we're looking to create an AI policy, and when we were talking about this, my boss (older millennial) was genuinely shocked to hear that younger people do not (seem) to view AI positively (a la the recent commencement speakers being booed)
