I’m practicing non-attachment. Accepting what comes and allowing it to leave when it’s time. What’s for me will be for me effortlessly.

“I’m a very strong believer that whoever is meant to be in your life will always gravitate back towards you, regardless how far they wander.”

look: the right people will get it. the right people will see you and appreciate you for the person that you are. the right people won’t require you to dilute, censor, or edit yourself in order to be worthy of their time and affection. you don’t need to waste your time on people who are committed to misunderstanding you

“He’s not perfect. You aren’t either, and the two of you will never be perfect. But if he can make you laugh at least once, causes you to think twice, and if he admits to being human and making mistakes, hold onto him and give him the most you can. He isn’t going to quote poetry, he’s not thinking about you every moment, but he will give you a part of him that he knows you could break. Don’t hurt him, don’t change him, and don’t expect for more than he can give. Don’t analyze. Smile when he makes you happy, yell when he makes you mad, and miss him when he’s not there. Love hard when there is love to be had. Because perfect guys don’t exist, but there’s always one guy that is perfect for you.”

I’m so fucking addicted to love and romance I need help
Teach me how to gracefully let go of things not meant for me.

finally finished watching ‘lost in translation’. easily one of my favorites now... i’m kind of scared that the same outcome will be mine and scott’s. he’s 16 years older than me. he’s still in japan. and i have a feeling he’ll be there for awhile. he’s just avoiding the conversation.
i haven’t brought it up nor do i want to. i’ve known him since november of last year. he was in japan for the whole month of december. we constantly communicated (messaging and facetime) and missed each other. he came back only to leave again for work. i was sad, but we did see each other and it was a great moment/feeling that i never wanted to let go.
but it’s been a month now since he left and our constant communication stopped. before he left, he sent me a message saying “Don’t forget me” and i just bawled my eyes out. because i knew he’d be gone for awhile. we’re not even official, but i really could see this guy in my future. he made me feel good things and i felt a sense of calm these last couple of months.
we still do talk, but it’s not the same. i miss knowing he’s here. i’m afraid he’ll disappear and everything that’s happened between us will be nothing but a blur.
