People in my camera: J's birthday
#excused
I was stared down (and perhaps judged) by a group of 'conyo' guys while I wait to pay for bags of potato chips and chocolate barssss til their eyes reach my left hand carrying a pack of Modess. Suddenly the former was justified. #excused
You don't stare down a lady especially when she's holding her joys in her arms.
CHOS.
You don't stare down a lady just because she loves to eat. Two things: she's happy or lonely (or PMS-ing. 3 things pala. OP.)
#WeekdayGVPlaylist
I've pretty much cracked my superstitious blogging code. Hahaha. I've been meaning myself to blog regularly but I often fail. I have a handful of recent drafts waiting for their last period di ko lang magawa. I hate me! I hate me! Charot!
Music, however has always been present in every published blog I've done. Nasira earphones ko when I went to Palawan. Nabasa yata kaya almost 2 months na kong no soundtrip life. Chos.
Music is my no-fail pampablog given I listen to the right music. That's why to jumpstart my blog vibe, this post is all about it. Para lang mapush ko na.
Here are a few good songs from my latest playlist guyth! Pretend that you've been waiting for it!
Thank you very much!
1. Am I Wrong- Nico & Vinz
2. A Sky Full of Stars- Coldplay
3. Burn- Ellie Goulding
4. Find You- Zedd ft Matthew Koma & Miriam Bryant
My friends went to Lobo, Batangas this weekend to at least push through some parts of the "grand" summer getaway we've long planned. (Kaya hashtag LOBOracay) Clearly I didn't go becos... uhmm parents... But my camera went with them. Surprisingly though, I don't feel any pang of envy or sadness as I view, upload and even blog about the getaway becos I am actually feeling the fun albeit the situation. Charing. Medyo merong inggit pero tumatanda na talaga kami. Too tired of unnecessary tampuhan. Hahaha. Kebs na!
Lobo is where one of our friends live. He just came back from UK for vacation so having the beach all by ourselves (kasama parin?!) was hard to miss. Pero namiss ko. Chos. He hosted the getaway ako naman nasa SM nagreretail therapy! Charot!
Di nyo ba feel yung fun sa photos?!!! DI BA?!!!!!

Sunday
Lover Boy.
Yesterday I promised to make use of today to rekindle my love affair with concepts and photography. I knew my shutter bug has not abandoned me yet I just needed to nurse it more. Since I left my camera in Manila, I used my iPad na lang. Surprisingly the outcome turned out better than I expected.
Palm Sunday
It isn't our first time to spend the Holy Week without our parents but first for the both of us to spend it without our sister. She's a fulltime pastoral worker for Youth for Christ, and is currenlty based in Nueva Vizcaya. She spent her Palm Sunday there leaving me and my brother here in Batangas. We were glad because our parents taught us to be involved in the church. So we basically knew what to do.
Palm Sunday is one of my favorite days next to Easter!
We were pleased to see several people participate despite Pacquiao's match. HE HE. And to see parents even younger ones teaching their children the practices of the church was delightful. #habangbatapa
Magical talaga ito in real life. Choz. Being maliit, ito lang yung kaya kong kunan. SARREH
Of corz, my bro.
Waffles for Breakfast
Our cousin flew to Phuket yesterday leaving us her beagle, Waffles. We tagged her along for a quick and "more challenging" jog. Charot lang.
We knew how much our cousin loves her dog it was so cute to see how we were all careful and worried as to what and how Waffles was doing/feeling. Parang sanggol lang. Natataranta kami lahat. Hahaha. What more kung tao na talaga. Ang cute. :(
This is Waffles, missing home. Choz!
April Styling Stint
Recently I had a styling stint for another debut shoot. This one's more challenging than the previous shoot I did but more fun and fulfilling!
My birthday girl isn't used to being all dolled up and seeing her try and being able to give her what she envisioned were satisfying!
Her peg is Yeng Constantino. Sana obvious.
I prepared four outfits for her but was able to shoot 3 outfits lang. Hashtag kunware busy. Hahaha.
Of course, my forever sidekick was there!
To take photos of me. Hahaha
Any of you who wish to have their shoot be styled by yours truly just email me at [email protected] or dm me here. Nux!
#WhatsInYourJournal : Best YES Ever
I completely lost my voice today. I've been airing out literally since morning and passing notes around the office! Akala nila extra thoughtful ako today. Hahaha.
If anything, I learned to listen and speak the most important words. Words worth their time lipreading. Odba? Philosophical.
Anyway, since I am naturally talkative, I ran to the ultimate outlet, Twitter and my journal. My journal however ran out of pages so I just backread and thought of sharing quips from my journal. After all, everything in here is meant to be shared. This isn't a diary anyway it's more of a reflection notebook. I believe every 'wisdom' and knowledge you get from just about anything under the sun is worth sharing. Especially when it is carefully pondered on.
I came up with a hashtag #WhatsInYourJournal to file my publicized journal thoughts.
My favorite #WhatsInYourJournal is..
"Some of the best things that have ever happened to you in life happened because you said YES to something."
What is your best YES ever?
Palawan 2014
Over the weekend I backpacked to Palawan initially to attend a conference and visit one of the 7 wonders of the world, Puerto Princesa's Underground river. I didn't have much time for tour which was totally fine! He he.
The Youth for Christ 21st International Youth Conference was directed by my sister, one of the reasons why I made sure to attend! #supportive #charot #bestICONever #nobias
More than the tourist spots, what I was most excited about was being with the people I feel most at home with! PRICELESS. Add to it the talks and location! EXACTLY WHAT I NEEDED!
Pero meron paring tourist-y shots. Haha
We stayed in Tenzai, somewhere near Puregold and Coliseum and few blocks away from the airport. Accommodation is affordable. At 500PHP per night/per head with wifi, breakfast, heater, tv. Sulit.
Rooming with my co-magulo backpackers. Hahaha.
The only tourist spot we went to was the Underground river given the time we had. Anyway Palawan itself is a tourist spot so kebs lang!
From Puerto Princesa Coliseum we had to take an hour of bumpy at nakakasukang ride to get to Underground River's terminal. I swear paiyak na ako. Being carsick is something I have to work out if I wanted to 'travel' hahaha
Pati banderitas tourist spot
Nothing's more amazing than God's masterpiece talaga!
#unselfie
I was viewing my ipad pictures one night when I was out of internet connection I noticed I have this thing for concealed faces on pictures. I think it's prettier than the usual kita-ang-mukha photos. It has more expression to it. Ewan. Okay lang yan, art yan.

And yes, I'm friends with a Donya and a Dasho.
Charot!
I miss my home!
Blogging.
In order to fulfill some of my resolutions for the new year, I welcome you to my blog's new layout!
May ganon?
If you're a regular reader of my blog, (nax, kapals!) you might have noticed the change in header earlier this year and as promised (to myself), I've amped up one of my favorite places with the help of dear friend, Nira!
Timing's perfect because I also turned 21. I kind of feel like I'm celebrating 2 new years! And new years to me are notions of goal-making and fulfillment. So double whammy? Add to it the fact that it's Chinese New Year on my birthday, and Iya and Drew got married. Hahaha
I'm so happy, so juiced up for 2014! I just got out of a bad memory and it is so refreshing to finally be at peace and out in the sun again! If anything, this whole thing reminded me that it is okay to feel the pain and be down but don't stay there forever. Never pull yourself so low as to forget to forgive and rebuild bridges.
So as part of my new blog, I am sharing to you how I came to this point: blog-wise!
1: Her Everyday Wonders: BTS
I'm a notebook carrier! But it's only recently that I started carrying one notebook for blog plans. I used to have several notebooks depending on the size of the bag I bring with me. :| But now, I promise to stick to one.
TIP: WRITE HERE, WRITE NOW
Every time you have a new idea, inspiration, experience worth sharing write them down, or draw them down for recall! As I always say, never trust your memory! ;)
Inside my notebook, it's cluttered and I love it!
But I try to organize them by putting the date and header. If it's about life I put BLOG: LIFE, for fashion BLOG: FASHION then the title or just the idea. It doesn't necessarily have to be the full post just keywords or sources of inspiration for recall purposes.
The first entry in my notebook is the new blog layout plan.
I sketched the layout that I wish to have, labeled them, and I also did research. While blogging has to be fun, I pledged to take it a little seriously in terms of content. I know how powerful words are and I don't want to waste the opportunity to make a difference through my blog. #dikokinayayungmakeadiffrence hahaha! But you get my point!
I researched about diff font types, good blog layouts and even blog organization. Real deal na ito. I guess something that reaches the public has to be carefully thought of.
2: BLOG CONTENT
After beautifying your place for reader's attention and impression, decide your content. Blogging is not an innate talent this can be learned. Through my 7 years of blogging and jumping from one site to another, I've become 3 different types already. This time I guess I know what kind I would like to be. I expose myself to those kind of bloggers to learn, be inspired and influenced by the right persons.
3: COMMITMENT
Keep a schedule and commit to your plans. I think most of us now is only up for the planning part. I know it is exciting to imagine your big ideas which in our minds look exceptional when in reality, it is much different. Don't lose hope. You have to push until you reach the point where you want your blog to be. (Ang drama, I know. It took me 7 years to reach this point and still I have not reached that one place where I want to be. Never settle. Keep moving forward. Not only in blogging, but life in general)!
Speaking of life, it basically is the same. You lay down your goals, you decide what kind of mark you want to leave, and you commit to it.
#TGIVthoughts
Happy Valentine's guuuuyth! How was your 14th? Hmm...
While others kept tweeting about spending the Valentine's day with pizza and pizza alone, I spent it with Pey and pizza. Hahaha. If pizzas can talk I'm good with 8 slices alone. Haha!
After work, Peyborit and I grabbed dinner at Lombardi's not to initially celebrate the day but to satisfy our hunger!!! Hunger ng tyan at hunger ng utak. TGIV talaga! Thank God it's Viyernez for us! We've been too engrossed with work and studies we were getting a little tipsy with all-work-no-play routine so pausing for a while for good food and company is something we did not hold back from doing this time and Lombardi's did not disappoint.
Over Saltimbocca Alla Romana, Pizza Aisalumi and Lasagne Della Casa, and in between our "ang sarap sarap naman nito," we've covered latest chikas picking up from where we last left off and even managed to squeeze in few "tanda mo dati" portions in the conversation; The night was one for the books chiefly because of what we gained from each other.
And I like to share to you one:
Valentine's day so LOVE getting in the conversation would obviously happen. Hahaha.
We talked about factors affecting relationships. Even felt like professionals critiquing a few bumps our committed friends encounter which we try to decode. Ang yabang lang namin! Hahaha!
Recently one of our committed friends had a big fight. Pey and I found ourselves accountable because we became the partners' takbuhan. After giving advices and encouraging them to be better we took it as an opportunity to reevaluate ourselves.
During the reevaluation, Pey being the guy shempre, was justifying all the actions of the guy! Ako naman ganon din! Until we found the common ground for both ends to meet. And we call it compromise. (This needs a separate post.)
We also came to a conclusion that maybe a man and a woman can never understand (as in grasp or interpret) each other. I see it everywhere. In the senate, in the office, at home, kahit kami ni Pey or with ibang friends, the woman and a man always got clashing views. Oh well, kaya nga we are made not to compete but to complement each other. When you say complement, you complete or improve the other. Meaning, you must have something that the other lacks. You must be seeing something that the other cannot. Thus, the clashing views which we can never really take away. It's in both gender's nature. We just have to work out how to use these (usually opposing) traits to our advantage.
So if that's the case, how do you create a good, healthy and lasting relationship?
We say: FORGIVE.
A relationship is composed of a man and a woman. Two very different persons. If these 2 wish to make it to forever they gotta learn how to love. (The real deal) and to love is to not keep record of wrongs, to believe, to hope, and to endure. Refer: 1 Corinthians 13:4-7.
So if you always misinterpret each other, that is normal. What you have to work out is how you react to bein misunderstood and how you help each other when being misinterpreted.
A man and a woman can never master/understand each other. Thus a good relationship is not composed of 2 understanding persons but 2 forgiving persons.
So how is your relationship?
