Good or Evil
What determines a person as being good or evil? What determines actions as good or evil? Does religion or the God that someone serves determine how they should live or determine what actions are good and what ones are evil? Does one’s actions justify them as being good or evil?
I believe that one is only as guilty as they feel. I one didn’t see anything wrong with the crime that they committed, then it wasn’t a crime to them to begin with. If one knew it was wrong before they did it, then it was probably wrong. But if one knew it was wrong before they did it, then it essentially the social class would classify them as evil. I think one is only evil if they are cognizant of the fact that they are evil. Evil is defined as being profoundly immoral and malevolent. But everyone doesn’t share the same morals and values.
Good is defined as being desired or approved of. So for me, it is safe to say that being good or evil is determined by who is judging you.
What determines a person as being good and evil? If you knew something was bad before you did it, does that make you an evil person?

Effective Branding
Without a doubt, Starbucks has the best branding for coffee around the world. With the green and black logo, a Starbucks can be spotted from a far distance. As a consumer, one can smell the coffee and the brewing of the coffee, just by seeing the logo. Starbucks not only serves fresh brewed coffee to those everyday people, but it’s so great of a franchise that celebrities such as Magic Johnson have invested in a chain of them.
Allstate is another example of effective branding. Allstate has its own slogan, “Allstate, are you in good hands?” I believe this is effective because when watching an Allstate commercial, it will make the viewer question whether they have the appropriate insurance provider. The slogan ends as a cliffhanger, which sets itself apart from the competition. It has branding that is persuasive with indirectly telling the customer that they aren’t in good hands. As well as having two hands as their logo.
Every girl’s dream! Louis Vuitton is a major brand in the fashion industry. Louis Vuitton has a big hand in the clothing industry, but is more known for its genuine leather handbags. With its unique monogram LV stitching, many other companies have tried to mimic Louis Vuitton, but have all fallen short. With the history that Louis Vuitton has in the handbag and clothing industry, they have done such a great job of owning the runway and accessory industry, that Louis Vuitton doesn’t have market their brand as others may do because the name speaks for itself.
Choices
If mandatory to grow old, it's a choice to grow up! But never loose your youth
My new short, animated script entitled "Hope," is about a young woman named Hope, who has a fear of public speaking, but has dreams of mentoring young children, some who often come from broken homes and are headed down the wrong path. She feels as though her messages are strong, and can change the way people think, but she constantly doubts herself and believes that her voice isn't powerful enough to reach the masses. With the help of Lucky, who is her future self, in the form of ghost, she gains a mentor that pushes her let go of her fears and live life with no regrets!
Gamification and Media Convergence
Gamification and Convergence
Angry Birds, is a game that I used to play all the time when I was bored in class. I remember upgrading to a bigger Samsung phone just so when I sung the bird back on the slingshot, so I could see the bird better. Now after years of being played on people’s cell phones, tablets and computers, Angry Birds has been turned into a full- length movie. I believe that with the movie, it gave the birds a voice and bought them to life. When playing the game, the player isn’t really able to live through the character of the bird because the birds don’t really talk. With the movie, the audience will be able to directly relate to a character within the film.

I find gamification at work everyday when trying to complete daily task. I work for Hertz rental and everyday it is everyone’s responsibility to keep the branch’s sales numbers up and become the best seller in the branch. I have accomplished this numerous times while working for this company, and I definitely see it as a competition amongst the employees. There is no reward for being the highest seller except recognition. Though I do not care for the recognition as much as others, it still feels good to know that I am the number one seller. This keeps me in a competitive mindset and it’s almost like a game to me when working with a client to sell a product.

The kindle, Nook or tablet allows for readers to be able to read books digitally rather than flipping through the pages in a traditional book. I still go to Barnes and Noble and buy books, but the great thing about having these devices is that when traveling, I don’t have to carry a bunch of books that I would like to read, or if I can’t find a book in the bookstore, I may be able to find it on my tablet. The bad thing about the tablet is, if it dies then you can’t read or search the web. Another example of why it could be bad is, when reading on a tablet, you cannot easily flip back and forth between pages to reference back to something that you have previously read. It is a little bit more technical, swiping through all the pages to get to the one that you want. Some things in my mind shouldn’t change; picking up a book is one of them. I find myself a little distracted at times trying to read a book digitally. I always leave the page that I am reading and search the web. If I am reading a regular book, I am able to concentrate better.

Are all people fundamentally equal?
We are not fundamentally equal due to of other ethnic back rounds having more privileges than those of African American decent. Racism plays a major role in today’s society and directed mainly towards people of color. Those of color are not granted the social, economic and political gain as those of the Caucasian ethnicity. Many young black men are being killed in the hands white police officers, who are often more than not, seen as innocent rather than guilty for brutally killing a black child. Due to the new media and technology, injustice and inequality is shown to us at the hands of our smart phones. It’s continuous and seems as though it isnt going to stop any time soon. Are black boys a target because they are a threat to white men? Are they a target of jealousy? Is the white man trying to emasculate the black man as they once did during slavery? These are questions that should be asked at this time when we say that America is fundamentally equal!

Ad- Hoc Writing Staff
As a Grad student at Fullsail University, I became a part of the ad-hoc writing staff, which is responsible for creating a web series that allowed me to generate an episode. I was not the creator of the web series, but enjoyed the opportunity to help bring someone else’s vision to life by adding my creativity to what I felt was already a great series. I’ve never written for anyone else or been able to build off of someone else’s material, but with this I could definitely see myself joining a writing staff for a sitcom. I believe that I would be a great writer for a sitcom like Blackish, which airs on ABC. This assignment taught me how to work with a team and take constructive criticism from others. Sometimes I can be sensitive about my work and at times I will not let others read it, but this gave me the chance to open up and see how others may view my work. I also enjoy the fact that we are able to communicate back and forth with each as a online class and tell each other how to better our writing. When writing sometimes, I tend to prattle on about things that don’t matter and I think it’s good as I write it, but being able to post it to the online chat, my classmate will give their honest constructive feedback which helps me as a writer. As stated earlier, I can definitely see myself doing this for a living. I plan to reach out to the career center and begin to take the steps necessary to find position pertaining to my craft. As of right now, I find little writing gigs online where I may write an article or two, but would like to write more for a series or TV sitcom. Writing for the episodic series that was given to the class to read, helped me to learn more about including tags, which I have never done before. I’ve been so used to writing scripts for movies so this class has definitely taken me out of my element, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. I hope that I will get another chance to collaborate with my fellow classmates and graduates of the M.F.A. program because this was definitely an experience for me.
