[Caption: gifs from The Vampire Diaries. Caroline lies in bed wounded by a bite from Klaus and Tyler asks her if she trust him. Later he’s seen bringing Caroine back to the living room where Klaus is trapped, lying her on the floor. He tells Klaus that if he wants to be in control, he can be in control of her life; that if he wants her to die, he’ll have to watch it. Then, he leaves the two of them there, while Caroline directs a pitiful look at Klaus from the floor.
In a later scene, edited in much more muted colours, Klaus says, bitter, that maybe he’s doing this because he’s pure evil and can’t help himself. Caroline, from where he lies on the couch, pale and dying, says it’s because he was hurt, meaning part of him is human. Klaus approaches and demands to know how she could possibly think that, and she replies that she’s seen it, that she finds herself wishing she could forget the horrible things Klaus has done. Klaus asks “But you can’t, can you?” Caroline doesn’t answer directly, instead saying that she knows he’s in love with her, and that anybody capable of love is capable of being saved. Klaus, conflicted, avert his eyes and says she must be hallucinating. Caroline, almost smiling, replies “I guess I’ll never know, closing her yes, beginning to fade away.
In the last two gifs, again in normal colour, Caroline emits a worrying whine; Klaus hesitates, troubled, and finally gives in; he raises her, sitting behind her, and bites on his own wrist. He brings his wound to Caroline’s lips, who starts drinking his blood; regaining conciousness, she grabs his wrist and continues to drink, as he briefly caresses her hair.]
