posts that are amonvrena
+ euvrena when amon kept gathering samples on them non-stop without context, when in reality he was making hundreds of clones of them in a locked off section of his lab that kept failing to properly replicate their likeness due to a lack of aetheric density (shards of eleena are less dense due to having been sundered 3x), thus accidentally discovering entelechies and dynamis
"why isn't he doing anything he just keeps observing"
oh he's doing something alright
my partial headcanon for amon acting the way he is somewhat from a preference for self testing before experimenting on others since he has many clones of himself in storage. his sense of reality and self is cracking on the edges from nearly dying and experiencing those kinds of moments often
sorry. im a bit distracted
Hey man not cool
hermes: i think all living things deserve a chance to live even if they dont provide and need help existing. i am really sad that my job is to kill living things that others think worthless and feel i am a mistake in my society. if its my role to judge, shouldnt we judge ourselves as well?
some fans: JESUS hes insufferable kill him
its ok i am a firm believer in hermes venat yuri. despite how much the fans dont get it
Pausing my breakdown. Tell me more. I already enjoy trans lady Hermes and i love your beautiful mind.
this mostly comes from me and my friend wrens hermes and venat alt accounts we play together but of anyone i think venat would be willing to listen and understand what hermes is going through if the situation went like ever so differently in elpis…. i think both could find comfort and a long conversation with each other and that could easily turn into a slow burn romance teehee

The Padjal of the Twelveswood
- Padjal Naming Conventions
Encyclopedia Eorzea - The Padjal: “The youthful and long-lived Padjal are not a race unto themselves, but rather are born rarely into certain Hyur families in the Twelveswood, the process of aging slowing to a crawl as they approach puberty. Naturally attuned to the whispers of the forest, these horned, childlike beings serve as a living link between man and elemental. The Padjal have a long history as the region’s healers and protectors, and as the chosen of the elementals are sanctioned in the use of white magic.”
Encyclopedia Eorzea: “Just as people were growing accustomed to their lives above ground, a child was born to the house of Jorin. Curiously, the child had horns, and never seemed to age beyond childhood, no matter how many years passed. Most extraordinary of all, the child could hear the elementals’ thoughts, and began to act as their emissary. With time, Gridanians came to realize the child was the selfsame blessing given to Jorin - a bridge betwixt man and elemental. These horned beings came to be venerated as Padjal, and continue to be born to Hyuran houses on rare occasions. To this day, they serve as honored leaders of Gridania.”
Encyclopedia Eorzea - Chronology:1076 - “After much trial and error, the conjurer Jorin successfully communes with the elementals. Talks are held in Peacegarden, and the citizens of Gelmorra are permitted to live in the Black Shroud.”
1077 - “The inhabitants of Gelmorra begin construction of the forest city of Gridania. The hamlet of Quarrymill is founded on the site where stone is cut and harvested for building materials.”
1081 - “Brother Jorin’s wife bears him a son, who is born with two distinct round bumps on his head.”
1084 - “The curious knobs on the head of Jorin’s eldest son grow into horns. He soon displays an ability to prophesy natural events—great rainstorms, blight in the apple orchards, and a plague of catfish—and is celebrated as a child of the gods.”
1093 - “Jorin’s eldest son stops aging, and is feared to harbour an unknown sickness. The child refutes this, declaring it a sign that the elementals have chosen him as a mediator between the forest spirits and man. He discards his birth name and takes to calling himself I-Ohok-Pota, which he describes as the sound made by the aetheric waves when the elementals speak unto him. Henceforth, Jorin and his children adopt the surname Pota.”
1117 - “The child of a Hyuran family in Gridania is the second to be born with horns. I-Ohok-Pota offers to take the child in his care, bestowing upon the child the name of U-Kote-Num. Henceforth, the horned children of Gridania come to be known as Padjals, and are raised with great care in the Stillglade Fane.”
1123 - “I-Ohok Pota, who had already been serving as Gridania’s de facto political leader, officially assumes the role at the behest of the Seedseer Council, and is conferred the new title of Elder Seedseer.”
1181 - “I-Ohok-Pota celebrates his one-hundreth nameday, though his appearance remains that of a boy of ten summers.”
1353 - “I-Ohok-Pota passes away peacefully in meditation at the age of two hundred and seventy-two. To the end, he showed no signs of sickness and is believed to have died of old age.”
Whispily-whiskered Woodworker: “In Gridania, there are those blessed by the forest. They are known as the Padjal. The touch of the elementals causes horns to sprout from their heads. They are ageless children, fluent in the tongue of the forest. It is the stuff of faerie tales, no?”
Raya-O-Senna: “The Padjal. Our kind were entrusted as sole shepherds of the now-forbidden art, to serve as healers and bringers of peace while ensuring that this great power would never again be misused.”
Raya-O-Senna: “White magic and conjury are close relations, the two governed by the same laws. The former, however, places the utmost importance upon healing and protection, and demands of practitioners the greatest intimacy with the elementals. On account of this, its use is granted only to those few who are deemed worthy. It is the sacred charge of we Padjal to ensure that the art survives, and in righteous hands.”
Encyclopedia Eorzea - E-Tatt’s Spire: “Like its brethren, this watchspire bears the name of a historical Gridanian hero: E-Tatt-Rai, a Padjal who made great contributions to the advancement of conjury.”
Raya-O-Senna: “As you are doubtless aware, we Padjals are chosen by the elementals to convey their will. Should that will go unheard or be misinterpreted, harmony would be lost and tragedy inevitably befall. In order to prevent this, we strive to hone our sensitivity to the elementals far beyond the limits of ordinary men. And this sensitivity allows us to perceive even the slightest fluctuations in the aether.”
A-Ruhn-Senna: “'Tis no simple matter for a Padjal to leave the Twelveswood. Once again, we must rely upon you, my friend.”
Sanche: “The conjurers I’ve met before were arrogant. Condescending. You, on the other hand, seem far more sincere. I will take you at your word…for now. My name is Sanche. It was twelve years ago that I fled Gridania with my infant child. She was born a Padjal, and you know what that means… The conjurers would have snatched her from my arms, and taught her to be a servant of the forest spirits. By Gridanian law, they were well within their rights to do so. But my husband was dead and Gatty was all I had left. I could not bear to let her go. And so I fled.”
E-Sumi-Yan: “And now I find you concealing the presence of a Padjal─even from a distance, the nature of Gatty’s aura was unmistakable. A Padjali child without guidance is an exceedingly dangerous thing, Sylphie. You know this. Her aether, wild and radiant, will grow even as she does…”
Oha-Sok: “In that sentiment, thou art mistaken. Hast thou forgotten the pact of Gelmorra? The powers granted to the Padjal must not be used in conflict.”
Monoa Mask: “A wooden mask used in Padjali ceremonies. A rough translation of the word monoa is ‘to sit silently on the land and speak.’”
Padjali Loach: “Its strict algae diet keeps this fish in pristine health, giving it a fresh, delectable flavor that fetches top gil with Gyr Abanian fishmongers and renders it a worthy tribute to the Padjal. This demonstrates that contrary to common perception, a life of healthy eating is not always in a species’ best interests.”
Dwarf Catfish: “An undersized variety of catfish found in still, swampy waters across Aldenard. The Padjali name for this fish is ‘gee-gee,’ supposedly taken from the grinding sound created when it moves its fins.”
Sightseeing Vista #040 - Haukke Manor: “Long frowned upon by the people of Gridania as a symbol of excess, the Seedseers would finally submit to pressure from the citizenry, selling the deed to the manor to Lady Amandine of House Dartancours. The word ‘Haukke’ is of ancient Padjali origin and means, ‘to speak without words.’”
The Thousand Maws of Toto-Rak: “Named after a man-eating creature from Padjali folklore, the Thousand Maws of Toto-Rak was built on the site of a natural cave system beneath Silent Arbor. Until recently, it held all of Gridania’s foulest criminals, from arsonists to poachers, but the completion of a new gaol closer to the city heralded its abandonment.”
