It had been a while. Harry’s not too sure how long, exactly; days blur together during the longer missions. But it has been a while and he’s more than glad to return to the drudgery that is his daily life when not out.

He brightens, though, at the shout. His face breaks out into an excited grin and he laughs, catching the taller man when he throws himself at him. “Heeey~” They’re two grown men, but that doesn’t really matter.

“Yeah, I just got back. Sorry for being gone so long.”

;; » Zack rarely ever cares for what people think of him, as far as his maturity goes, and this kind of situation is no different. Especially since it’s Harry. Harry’s very special, and Zack usually abandons all kinds of formalities and generally adult-ish things when it comes to him.

      Arms loosen about the blonde’s shoulders, his intentions not to hurt the poor guy right after he returns from such an extended mission. Stepping back, one hand still holding onto a shoulder, Mako blues meet Mako blues, and Zack shakes his head.

     “Nah, don’t apologize, dude,” he says to the shorter SOLDIER. “I’m just... glad you’re here again! You’ve missed a lot! I had a mission that involved chocobos but I wasn’t riding mine right or something and she flipped me off! Bam! Right into the dirt.”

Ⅱ✩ She frowned, crouching next to him so they could speak a little easier.

“I don’t get it– aren’t humans nice?” She asked, tipping her helm to the side. “You’re really nice! Isn’t everyone like you?” She tried, smiling. “Besides, I.. I wanted to see what it was like in a human town..” She mumbled, looking a bit embarrassed.

“C’mon, please? I won’t be in danger I’m sure of it!”

;; » Zack sighs quietly at her questions, wishing what she says is true. He hates seeing her disappointed, especially when it comes to humans.

     “Sky, are all of your people nice?” he asks, his voice softening a bit. “Are all of them as kind and friendly as you? If not, what makes you think humans are different?”

      His tone isn’t hostile, it doesn’t bare any ill will or patronizing. She may be oblivious, but she isn’t stupid. Zack knows that.

       Keeping an eye on a giant, alien robot is not something Zack particularly enjoys doing. Of course, he adores the kid. Great, uh.. soul (or Spark, whatever it was she called it before). But that doesn’t necessarily help him keep her a secret.

      “Look, we have to be careful! We can’t get too close to Midgar, people might see you!” he says to her, pressing one hand against her leg, peering up at her. “You might be in danger if that were to happen.”

The standard cadet helmet is tugged down a little tighter over a very embarrassed former blond.  A few strands of bubblegum pink are still visible, despite his motions.

“Yeah? Yeah?  Because I don’t know who else had access to my shampoo bottle last night.  You had better hope this washes out quick.”

;; » Zack lets off a quiet groan and finally looks at the cadet. Well, he isn’t sure if the truth will really help out now --- or if Cloud will believe it --- but the SOLDIER still feels the need to explain.

   “Look, man, I was just.. I thought that was Sephiroth’s shampoo,” he mumbles, bowing his head. “I Didn’t mean to dye your hair pink. But I’m sure you still look just as attractive in pink!”

    Maybe it wasn’t really necessary to add that last part, but Zack doesn’t know how else to help the poor kid.

;; » A loud gasp comes out of Zack at the sight of the other SOLDIER. He had been gone for a mission, and damn, he was gone a long time. Zack hadn’t been sure before when the hell he was going to be back, but obviously, it doesn’t matter now, since Harry is back!

  “Harry!” he shouts, unable to hold it in.

   The fully grown, twenty-two year old man rushes at the blonde, a grin on his face as he more or less throws himself at the other. Arms wrap tightly around Harry’s shoulders, chin resting atop his head.

  “You’re back!”

;; » A small tilt of his head, a twinkle of confusion in his blue eyes. He stares at the woman, obviously baffled by something about her.

   “You don’t look from around here,” is all he says to her.

    He’s lying through his teeth. He tries to keep his gaze averted, tries to not look at the blonde, whatever the cost. If he were to see his face, Zack will be found out for certain.
