Running people to work/band practice. Bbs.
Parabatied - Herondaleborn
Mal shook her head, denying the need for anything even though her stomach rumbled loudly at the mention of food. Grabbing the nearest clothes she moved to the bathroom, locking the door behind her. The fairy didn’t know how long she spent in the shower, standing under the spray long after the water ran clear. It was only then that she picked up the soap and began to scrub at the grime that had caked into her skin and hair. Sighing under the hot water she finally felt herself relax, maybe this bond wasn’t so terrible if it meant showers and food. Of course the clothes were far too drab for her but they’d do until she could grab something more…her. Stepping out she wrapped a towel around herself, drying off both body and hair. The dark, muddy colour had washed away letting her vibrant purple shine in the light. Tugging the new clothes on she left the grimy shift behind for Jace to deal with, stepping out to take a seat on her bed.
Jace moved to his couch, picking up a book from the side table and opening it to read while the girl cleaned up. He waited patiently, pausing in his reading to put on a cd of nature sounds; something he used to relax and keep the room from being silent. Silence unnerved him. He was laying back against the couch arm when he heard her exit the bathroom, not looking up at first. "How do you feel about pizza?" he asked, finally looking up, his breath catching. He'd admired her spirit, her speed and grace despite the torture his grandmother had caused, and yet now he could finally see the young woman. And he wasn't surprised at her beauty, she was a seelie, after all. What he hadn't been expecting was the sudden, strange pull to her. It was odd and he had to blink a few times. "Those don't look like your taste, we can go shopping tomorrow." he promised, moving to close the book.
Challenging
“You scared of a challenge?” “Are you testing me?” “I dare you” “Just accept that you can’t do this” “This is too difficult” “How about a real challenge?” “This doesn’t have to turn into a dispute” “This isn’t a competition” “I won’t back down from a challenge” “I challenge you to do better” “Do you need something more challenging to do?” “It’s just a test” “I take issue with this” “I didn’t take you as someone to back down from a challenge” “Think you can take me?” “You need to challenge yourself” “I object” “Why are you always so confrontational?” “You’re too competitive” “I don’t like tests” “Are you accusing me of something?” “I’m going to challenge you” “You can do this” “What? You think you’re better than me?” “That doesn’t sound very challenging” “How about we make this a competition?” “This feels like a test” “This isn’t challenging enough”
I highly recommend following this magical cinnamon roll.

“Kiss me,” she pleaded, and he did, hot languorous slow kisses that sped up as his heartbeat did, as the movement of their bodies quickened against each other. Each kiss was different, each rising higher and higher like a spark as a fire grew: quick soft kisses that told her he loved her, long slow worshipful kisses that said that he trusted her, playful light kisses that said that he still had hope, adoring kisses that said he had faith in her as he did in no one else. Clary abandoned herself to the kisses, the language of them, the wordless speech that passed between the two of them.

80% of this community’s issues coulda been solved if ppl solved things privately rather than publicly vaguing abt one another bc there’s a SERIOUS miscommunication and lie-spreading thing going on and it’s not even funny anymore ppl get accused of shit they didn’t say/do and others believe it without having any evidence

Headcanon: When Harry gets his first place after Hogwarts that actually has more than one floor, he comes home after getting a load of boxes to find Hermione using a sledgehammer on the drywall beneath the stairs. And Ron’s like, “Look, mate, I borrowed this stuff from my dad, I’ve got a DRILL and a - what’s it called again, Hermione?” “A stud finder.” “Right, one of those, and we’re going to fix your stairs.” Harry’s like, “But there’s nothing wrong with them.” “Yes, Harry, there is.” Harry’s just sort of standing there in total bewilderment while Hermione totally demolishes the wall. “We couldn’t have done that with magic?” “No, Harry, this is personal. You two take this mess out to the skip.” And then Harry stands around a while longer and Hermione puts in support beams in the appropriate places so the stairs don’t fall in, and Ron’s very excited about using the stud finder even though Hermione won’t let him use the drill. When they’re finished, Harry has this set of shelves. So he says, still completely confused, “I thought we picked this place because it had loads of storage.” And Hermione says, “Go get some of my books. I know it’s just shelves, but it’s not a bloody cupboard.”
And every time Harry moves for the rest of his life, Ron and Hermione are there on moving day and they knock out anything under the stairs, even if it’s just a wall. Hermione reads a lot of books. Ron learns to use a miter saw and a carpenter’s square and practices the nail hammering spell until he can do it perfectly on the first try. And sometimes it isn’t very practical but it looks nice…
And sometimes, when they all get older and have children, it’s cozy and has a purpose…
And eventually Hermione gets the trick of there being nothing under the stairs at all…
Which is the story of how Harry Potter never lived in a house with a cupboard under the stairs again for the entire rest of his life.
Quality post.
I support this 1000%!!

Mal wanted to rip the blond apart, just like she had the other guards, but the bond stayed her hand. She heard his words but there was no reason to trust him, no desire to try, except for the knowledge that he couldn’t hurt her. He couldn’t harm her in any way unless he wanted to feel the pain himself. It was that reason, and that reason alone, that saw her finally blink the fire from her eyes.
Cautiously she stood, straightening to her full height, which was barely his chest. Gaze flicked between Imogen and Jace, at least her bonded seemed to want to not hurt her which was a far cry from the other hunters. Between remaining a toy for the devil to torture or the hand of her bonded the choice seemed simple. At least one choice offered less pain than her current arrangement.
Hesitantly she placed her hand in Jace’s, still not sure she was making the right descision but at least this one got her out of a cell. Eyes flicking in Imogen’s direction her feet refused to budge, any closer and she’s drive a stele into the woman too.
As she moved, Jace held one hand behind him to stop Imogen, eyes never leaving the girl's as she stood. "There ya go. It's alright. I won't let them hurt you, or me. Got it? We share pain now." He confirmed. "I'll protect you." He looked at his grandmother and made a face, to which she finally moved out of the way. Carefully lacing his hand with hers, he helped lead Mal from the cell and into the main building. As ordered, those in the path he was taking kept distance and eyes down. He led her to his room, carefully letting her inside. "I'm sorry, my grandmother tends to surround herself with morons who enjoy torture. Sometimes I wish she'd put herself under that treatment to see how it feels first hand." He explained, letting her look around. "This is our room, until they can clear a room for you. I've had a bed brought in, some fresh clothes." He offered. "You can tell me anything you want to eat, I can get it."

Mal was young by Seelie standards, on the tail end of her teenage years by mortal standards she was still an infant in Fae years. It wasn’t until she saw the rune burn into place on her skin that she realised what had happened. The bond. The unbreakable union of two souls, her longevity would be his, as would an immunity to her powers. The Clave had finally found a way to shackle her as a guard dog and bind her powers without having to take her head. Well she’d show them just how ‘broken’ she was.
The picture of demure submission she sat and waited, letting the guards in close to remove her shackles. She was bound to the blond hunter, what harm could she do them now? The moment the last restraint was removed she launched herself at one guard, gripping his stele before he could use it and plunging it into his side. Her leg snapped out, bare foot catching the guard under his chin so his head flew up and slammed him back into the glass. Yanking the stele out of the first guard she snarled at the guard who struck her, throwing the silver wand like a dart, a feral grin on her face as it stuck in his throat. Not fatal but he’d need medical attention very soon.
That ony left one hunter. Spinning to face the blond she dropped to a crouch, chest heaving as from a mix of adrenaline and exertion. She couldn’t attack this one, she was bound to him so any pain she inflicted she would receive. Dirty, unkempt hair, bare feet and wearing nothing but a simple slip of a dress, one that had certainly seen better days, she looked wild and feral. Eyes burning green she waited for him to make his move.
The girl was surprisingly fast, he found out, but he douted he would have stopped her if he’d been able to anticipate her speed. Jace stepped back, watching her lash out, raising a hand when his grandmother started to the door. She of course didn’t listen, but he stopped her before she entered, glaring her down. “I can handle myself. I’m not the idiots you surround yourself with.” he mouthed off, moving to put the stele in the pocket of his thigh holster where it was kept. Once tucked away, he held his hands out, showing her he meant no harm. “Hey, easy. I said I wasn’t going to hurt you, remember?” he told her. “Hold still.” He moved to kneel down, keeping eye contact with her as his eyes glowed, activating the iratze on his side and transferring it to her. He watched as the forming bruise on her face cleared up a great deal, but it would need another iratze soon. Imogen gasped as he used a rune on the girl, but he turned to look at her. “I want everyone to back down and keep distance. All the tirture you conducted has given her plenty of reason to be a threat.” he said. “Honestly, you people need to start thinking about this, it’s common knowledge. If you don’t want an enemy, don’t torture innocent people or you’ll get one.” he looked back and Mal and took a few steps closer. “Come on, I’ll take you out, just like I said. I can get you a shower and a bed and good food.” he promised, holding out the hand that could draw his stele to show her she could trust him.
