some reunion, huh ; kido
Ā Ā Ā If thereās anything she could say, with certainty, that she regretted at this moment, it was that she hadnāt been wearing pants the last time sheād gone to school. Skirts donāt do much to protect your knees, unfortunately.
Ā Ā Ā Ā Pale fingers tightly gripping the stone window sill of a - thankfully - sturdier building, Ayano felt the aftershocks of the earthquake rock through her body as she watched a store further on down the road crumble into a heap of brick, glass, and debris. She hadnāt been in the city for very long, less than a full month, and though she was slowly coming to terms with the fact that no, this wasnāt anotherĀ āgameā that serpent occasionally tried to force her into, she couldnāt definitively say that she was any more content here than sheād been there. Her knees and shins were bruised and, judging by the stinging, a bit cut up, and her ears rang from the cacophony of destruction and screaming.Ā
Ā Ā Ā At the very least, she now knew that she probably shouldāve stayed inside today.
Ā Ā Ā The young girl squinted her eyes as she suddenly caught sight of a purple lump across the street, only a little ways away from the rubble of the now-destroyed building. Dust and smoke filled the air, and with the sky and buildings no longer providing any source of light, it was hard to make out what it was. A person, maybe? She couldnāt remember seeing anything that color before the earthquake began - if it was a person, she prayed they were alright. The lack of movement, from what she could see, didnāt bode well.Ā
Ā Ā Ā Her legs were about as steady as the ground, but even so, Ayano forced herself up to her feet and took a few shaky steps forward. There was a decent chance that the figure was a person, and it was just as possible that they were injured. She refused to leave someone on their own out here, especially if they were hurt - who knows what else might happen? Cupping her hands around her mouth, Ayano inhaled deeply, and tried to raise her voice over the noise still echoing through the street.
Ā Ā Ā āA-Are you alright over there? Can you hear me?ā
