Detroit Become Human + Blade Runner 2049 Trailer Mash-Up

So, I got a wild hair. I wondered if I could take the trailer from Blade Runner 2049 and use footage from Detroit Become Human, seeing as they are similarly about android detectives hunting down their own kind. It was surprisingly effective! This is the first time I’ve ever done a trailer mashup, so I tried to focus more on framing and theme, along with matching characters when appropriate, vs trying to match the exact color/look. With Blade Runner’s intense cinematography, it was basically impossible to replicate the color grading. So I gave Detroit its own look, while still trying to match the motion and framing of the original trailer.

This version of the video has the original trailer in the bottom for comparison, but I’ll probably upload a clean Detroit-only version soon. And now that I’ve done this one, I want to make a whole series of TrailerPunk mashups, so let me know what crossover I should do for TrailerPunk #2! I’m thinking about doing a David Fincher/Heavy Rain mix of some kind, but I’m open to suggestions.~
