This year, the week will run from Oct 18 - 24! This gives us all four months until the big week! The rules continue being the same as last year’s, but of course if anyone has any questions, please reach out!
not too sure how to tackle a day's prompts? or any prompts? no worries! use this token to make any day your free day! just be sure to tag the work with the #free day token tag so we know ;)
Are you tired of conventional RusLiet that either feels too cutesy or too one-sided? Are you a curmudgeon who only sees the negative in life? Are you a contrarian who sees a ship and thinks about how it should fall apart? Do you just want to see Tolys and Ivan reenacting Spy vs. Spy cartoons, blowing each other up and hitting one another on the head with large and unwieldy mallets?
Have I got the event for you.
Your assignment, should you choose to accept it, is to put forth your aversion to joy and conflict resolution into a 3k-10k story covering the power struggle between the two characters. You can make this political or you can focus entirely on the human element, so long as you put the work in to be coherent as fiction. As an “anti-ship” style event, the goal is to explain why these two should NOT be in a relationship, or why said relationship would be fraught or outright doomed.
There are no prompts like in a regular weekly event. I believe the concept stands on its own well enough and with too little fannish exploration, and conventional prompts would actually take away from creator agency. In the absence of prompts, I will offer instead a list of parameters.
Works no less than three thousand words and no more than ten thousand words. This is to challenge writers to write something in a set-up and pay-off format but not grow overwhelmed by too large an idea.
Focus. Show the resentment and its consequences, show whether its unidirectional or reciprocated, show how they curdle the very air of any room they enter together. Please do not depict “the good times” as more than an afterthought.
Relatedly, this is not about what ships they should be in. Other ships should be excluded beyond offhand mentions in order to bolster the narrative.
While it is allowed and encouraged, this is not a horror/gore-themed event. Please be sure to dig into more than Vanya’s entrails.
Please tag your works appropriately with all warnings, and @ me at this blog so that I can share everything. I expect a level of abusive dynamics will be explored, if not more, so please allow people to dive in or avoid these things as they desire. Just as importantly, be respectful of one another. You can always blacklist the ship name and avoid all of this if even exploring it in this fashion boils your blood.
Posting dates: August 10-16 2026.

Traversing Textiles is the second installation of femme☆phenomenon, a free digital anthology dedicated to the women characters in Hetalia World Stars. For International Women's day 2026, the zine followed the theme of "textiles," as the cultural clothing and textile arts of these ladies' cultures deserve a spotlight.
This zine contains 3 textile crafts, 4 fanfics, and 40 illustrations including the cover.
May our beloved HetaGirls receive all the love and adoration they deserve! Happy International Women’s Day to Ancient Egypt, Ancient Greece, Belarus, Belgium, Czechia, Hungary, Kenya, Liechtenstein, Monaco, Seychelles, Taiwan, Ukraine, Vietnam, Wy, and Zimbabwe!

This is an interest check for a potential USUK/UKUS zine. Celebrating 20 years of the ship and many more to come, the zine is set to release
Hey guys! We would be interested in creating and publishing a zine, celebrating USUK/UKUS. The project is still in the concept stages, but we are slowly reaching out to artists and writers, as well as accepting responses on the interest check survey. If you are interested in joining the project (as an artist, writer, moderator or helping hand) fill out the form or contact hariible with your ideas directly. Thank you!
We interrupt your dashboard for an important announcement:
Hello everyone! It's been weeks since the promised release date for the anthology had lapsed. As the spooky season draws to a close, it seemed just right to release this ghost back out for the world to see-- after all, ghosts have stories to tell, and for Razzle Dazzle: A Historical Hetalia Anthology #3, narrative happens to be the theme!
Thank you everyone for your patience regarding the long delays around this particular run of the anthology. We all hope you enjoy this treat of a collection!
(Note: mobile/single-page version will be released tomorrow morning; for now, please enjoy the regular version available!)
The World On A Plate: A Hetalia Fanzine aims to celebrate food from cultures around the world, and what better fandom for this than Hetalia? If you decide to try any of these recipes, please do tag us! We would love to see it!

Alas! The final update; prompts! Now with discussion we decided to release this a bit early to give a head start to the folks who have shown interest to both write & draw for the event, and from August to October we're hoping it's more than enough time for those participating to work on their stuff!
