Wednesday Netflix characters named after classic authors:
Isaac Night - Isaac Asimov (author of 'I, Robot' - this fits Isaac's character very well) [Made a reference to Asimov in my latest fic update, which is what prompted making this list. Mainly to organize my own thoughts]
Nathaniel Faulkner - Nathaniel Hawthorne (The Scarlet Letter) and William Faulkner ("...human heart in conflict with itself which alone can make good writing because only that is worth writing about, worth the agony and the sweat.")
Carl Bradbury (Donovan's friend, murdered by crows) and Bradbury tower (a rare case of repeating an author name - could be relevant?) - Ray Bradbury ('Fahrenheit 451', 'Something Wicked This Way Comes')
Enid - Enid Blyton? (Could be a coincidence but Blyton's works are aimed at children and generally very wholesome, matching Enid)
---
Other character names which I guess could be related to media and literature, but could easily be a coincidence:
Tyler - Tyler Durden from the Fight Club?
Coach Vlad - Fencing master - after Vlad the Impaler who inspired Dracula. (Also fun to think that they chose the most obviously Romanian name for the character - the first series was shot in Romania)
Rachel Fairburn - I recall seeing in a comic or the Addams Family movie where there was a book written by a Dr. Fairburn. And I think Rachel is an indirect reference to Nurse Ratched from One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, especially since Wednesday's Novel in S2 is titled 'Cuckoo's Nest'
Tudor-Pole - unseen math teacher in S2 (mentioned by Pugsley and Eugene who were selling solutions to his quiz) - Could be a reference to Edward Tudor-Pole? It's such a unique surname, and he's the first search results and while I'm not familiar with his work, the writers of Wednesday might be.
Agnes - Her surname is french, and she takes a lot of photos so maybe Agnes Varda? But I've seen a comic by Charles Addams where Agnes is the name of an unseen character on the other end of the phone, so that's probably the real reason she's named Agnes.
Eugene - This is almost certainly a coincidence, but there's a track called Eugene's Trick Bag in the movie Crossroads, and it's composed by Steve Vai whose interests include beekeeping.
