“Don’t say anything. Just… just dance with me. Right here. Right now.” Jeremy had a grin on, he was pulling you onto the dancefloor of some club in downtown Austin. He had a few drinks in his system (and let’s be honest so did you) but you weren’t one to dance.

“But” - Jeremy put a finger over your lips. “What did I say? I said don’t say anything, now come on!”

He pulled you into the crown and he started dancing but you however, just stood there like an idiot. Jeremy rolled his eyes dramatically and grabbed your arms, flailing them about like a lunatic and you had to fight to stop your smile.

Jeremy waggled his eyebrows continuously as he shimmied closer to you, until your bodies were pressed up one another. You burst out laughing and reluctantly started dancing along with him.

You were a new member for The Know crew and you were still considered a rookie, a highly skilled rookie but inexperienced none the less. You were recruited by Ashley, who seemed to know everything there was to know about you and didn’t seem to have a problem in threatening you to join.

You were a bit sceptical that Jinx, The Jinx wanted you to join the crew. You had your talent in hacking and sniping, but that’s where it ended. You had no idea what it took to be in a crew but there wasn’t really much of a choice at the time.

It’s not like it was against your will, you were amazed that they even heard of you but you were excited you were able to be a part of the crew. With Los Santos being a big city, there was plenty of space to wreak havoc. Which the Fake AH Crew took advantage of. There were several crews that were all linked and had treaties and what not and Los Santos was big enough to accommodate for all of them.

This crew was different though, they didn’t go and make ridiculous heists like the Fake AH Crew did. The Know were Intel. They knew everything there was to know in Los Santos, if a crew wanted to know something they would go to The Ladies but not without a price. They weren’t a charitable crew, if you wanted something, they wanted something in return.

It had been a few months since Jinx recruited you (in which you also learned her name was Ashley), and you had climbed to the top in the crew. You worked hard, you improved your hacking skills (Meg liked to joke that you reminded her of Gavin) and even took up some other trade skills. Ashley now used you more as backup or a body guard for when she had meetings with other crews.

Speaking of, Ashley and yourself were actually on your way to a meeting with the Fake AH Crew. They wanted Intel on a new crew rolling into town from Italy who had quickly set up their own homey little drug ring. The Fake AH normally let small crews do as they please but this crew, you had found, was different. They were bringing a new drug into the market and it wasn’t pretty.

Parking in front of the mall, you parked the car and got out. You opened Ashley’s door for her and shut it behind her. You were nervous, this was one of the busiest places that you knew of in Los Santos and it didn’t help that it seemed to be at its peak.

You followed closely behind Ashley, taking in as much detail as you could and keeping an eye out for anything suspicious. Ashley loved your ‘Eagle Eyes’ as she so fondly named them and was one of the reasons you often escorted meetings as backup. You seemed to be able to notice the tiniest of things and react with precision.

The food court was just as busy if not more as the rest of the mall. It was just before lunch so people were coming in by the dozens. Ashley sat at a booth and you sat at a table not too far off that had someone’s scraps on it. It was too suspicious to sit by yourself on a clean table.

You knew the members of Fake Ah so it wasn’t alarming to watch a bearded man in a suit sit across from Ashley. What was alarming was to watch what seemed to be his backup, sit on my table. He wore a monstrous bright orange shirt, paired with a purple suit jacket and brown pants. It was the opposite of blending in and it made you twitchy sitting so close to him.

“Hey,” He grinned, “I’m Jeremy!”

He held out his hand and you glared at him before looking around the room once again. You saw Jeremy try to speak again but something else caught your eye. You held up a hand to shut him up and focused and the group of teenage boys that were boisterously hanging around the outer edge of the food court.

All of them were keep an eye on Ashley and Geoff, glancing at them every few minutes and trying to move slowly towards them. You whistled a tune to signal Ashley and stood up, ready to follow her outside and get her to safety. These boys were up to something and it wasn’t to hit on her or ask for her number, this was a different kind of nervousness.

Jeremy asked what was wrong but before you could reply one of the boys had uncovered a gun and was taking aim at Ashley. Without thinking, you grabbed your own gun, aimed and shot him right in the head.

Screams had immediately erupted and people started stampeding towards the exit. The rest of the group had fled and you immediately checked over Ashley, making sure she wasn’t hurt. Seeing she was fine, you scanned the surroundings and found an exit. Pushing Ashley in that direction you turned to see Jeremy and Geoff chasing after the teenagers.

You turned and followed Ashley until you got outside, then you pushes Ashley behind you and cautiously walked to your car. You opened Ashley’s door with a grumble, “This is why I don’t like busy places,” Ashley just laughed.

On the drive back to the penthouse where most of the crew resided, Ashley decided to strike up conversation. The topic wasn’t one you really liked. “So Jeremy seemed to like you,” Ashley hinted. You scoffed, “What he wore made me twitch, I wouldn’t be surprised if these guys found you solely because they could spot him a mile away.”

Ashley just laughed and dropped the subject, she won’t be making jokes for long. As soon as you got to the penthouse, The Jinx would take charge and find out who had the balls of steel to try and make a hit on her. Once the crew found out though, there would be hell to pay.

Meg of course was furious, she immediately called Gavin and asked if Geoff and Jeremy ended up catching them. When he said they had caught only half of them Meg was out the door with her collection of knives slung on her back. Ashley asked you to escort her, slightly on edge that they might try her as well and you followed with no complaint.

Meg was waiting in the lobby, she must have known Ashley would send someone but she wasn’t waiting patiently. Tapping her foot, the minute she spotted you she got into the passenger seat of your car.

Driving to their headquarters was a little nerve wracking for you, you never really entered another crew’s headquarters and it was strange. As soon as the car was slow enough, Meg jumped out, not even stumbling and stormed into the building.

She didn’t even have to ring the doorbell, the door was already open and the purple haired assassin stormed through. She was on a mission and whoever got in their way would surely die a slow death. Her eyes flamed with rage and her fists shook with energy that was waiting to be relinquished on the person who dared hurt her best friend, her sister, her leader.

You were glad that Geoff had someone that Meg could take her rage out on otherwise she would have been a ticking time bomb until we found out who they were. You had a strange suspicion though, there’s only one person who would want to stop that meeting. Ashley was there for Intel about one crew and one crew only.

The question was how did they know? You would have to search the penthouse but in the meantime you told Ashley not to talk about anything important in the Penthouse or do any intel research. You made sure to write a note because anything could be bugged. Although if the Fake AH Crew did their job right, you won’t have to worry about it for long.

By the time you got to the floor where the crew resided in, you could already hear screams. Walking in you saw Gavin smiling wildly, “That’s my girlfriend,” He stated proudly. You smiled and laughed softly bringing some attention to yourself. Gavin spotted you and waved, “Oh hey! I thought Meg would be too fast for anyone to come with,” Gavin said. “Jinx is a bit tense and doesn’t want anyone alone,” You explained. Gavin nodded, “Thanks.”

Jeremy walked in at that moment and stopped when he saw you, “Hey, what are you doing here?” He smiled.

His grin was pretty infectious so you smiled back now that you weren’t focused on protecting anyone, “Stopping Meg from creating unnecessary casualties on her way here,” Jeremy laughed and the sound made you feel a bit giddy.

After a while Meg returned a little more bloody than when she arrived but the hard glint in her eyes was gone, it was now replaced with a satisfactory glimmer. She found Geoff and they went into the office, probably to relay the information she had extracted.

Meanwhile you and Jeremy had really hit it off. You both became pretty consumed in the conversation of games and other things you had in common. Despite his atrocious fashion sense, Jeremy was a pretty cool guy.

You were both sitting on the couch together and it wasn’t until Meg cleared her throat from the doorway that you realised how close you two were. You jumped up and stammered if she was ready to leave. She replied with a perky “yep!” and headed to the door.

With a small wave and a smile, you followed Meg out the door and to your car. Once you were both in, you started driving back to the penthouse where your own crew resided. After a moment of silence though, Meg seemed to strike up conversation.

“So you and Jeremy seemed pretty cosy.”

You focused on the road, trying your hardest to hide the blush that you felt coming up from your neck and over your cheeks, “He’s a nice guy,” You mumbled. Meg laughed, “Please tell me you at least got his number.” “What? No! Why would I get his number?” “Because you two obviously like each other!” Meg exclaimed, her voice going a higher pitch as well as a higher volume.

Staying silent, you tried not to look at Meg who was obviously staring you down. Then out of the blue she whipped out her phone and started tapping away, this instantly made you suspicious. You finally looked at her, “What are you doing?” “I am doing what you were to pussy to do!” She replied.

Your eyes widened as you tried your hardest to keep your eyes on the road. Thankfully you came to an intersection and the lights were red. You immediately launched over to grab her phone but she had dodged out of reach, “Too late! I just texted Gavin to give Jeremy your number, you can thank me later,” “I think I preferred when you were too mad to talk,” You grumbled.

Arriving at the penthouse, you exited the car and entered the building without another word to Meg. She cackled behind you but you ignored her and went to your office. Unfortunately Ashley stopped you half way, “Hey, how did it go?” She asked. “She got the information and it was the new crew that just came to town. Geoff and his crew are going to take care of them,” You reported. “And our little escort was chatting a little somebody up while I was busy,” Meg sang as she walked past.

Jon, who was walking past, seemed to hear what Meg said, “Ooh! Who was it? Ryan? Trevor?” He teased “Little Jeremy Dooley,” Meg said.

Getting more and more embarrassed, you decide to just turn around and leave. A chorus of laughs being left in your wake. You weren’t terribly mad, it was almost a part of the job description to be teased and made fun of. You never took it to heart but you were nervous about Jeremy having your number.

Coincidence seemed to strike as your phone went off and you checked to see you had a message from an unknown number.

Hey, this is Y/N right? Gavin gave me your number, hope that’s cool?

You smiled to yourself and typed out a reply. From then on it was smooth sailing. You and Jeremy seemed to constantly be messaging each other, with a few phone calls here and there. He also liked to drop the occasional pick up line.

You were currently talking with Meg and Ashley when you phone buzzed. You picked it up and immediately laughed. Are you a magnet? Because I’m attracted to you.

Meg peeked over your shoulder and made a high pitched “Aw!” which made you quickly hide your phone from their line of sight. “You know, I don’t think I’ve received a thank you yet,” Meg stated. You scoffed, “For giving away my number without permission? Meg Turney you are quite the human being,” “Thank you!”

The next day you were on your computer, going through some notes you had collected when Meg burst in. She looked alarmed, “Jeremy… Gavin…” She managed to get through her puffing and panic.

Without thinking, you launched yourself after her and got into the fastest car in the garage. Speeding towards the Fake AH Crew, you glanced at Meg, “What happened?” You asked. “I don’t know, Geoff just called me saying they were taking care of that gang when this explosion happened right beside Jeremy and Gavin and they were hurt pretty bad,” Meg started to cry.

Feeling your own chest tighten, you grasped Meg’s hand and squeezed it tight. She squeezed back but continued to cry silently, “It’s going to be ok,” You tried to tell her but you weren’t sure if it worked because your own voice had caught in your throat.

It was fair to say you had become attached to Jeremy. He made you laugh even if it was at the expense of making himself look stupid, he always made sure you were ok after coming back from a meeting and you were pretty sure you liked him more as a close friend.

You were too pussy to ask him out on a date and this was fate coming to bite you in the ass. It was then that you swore to yourself that as soon as Jeremy was better you would ask him out. If he survived.

Your hands tightened on the wheel, no, he would survive. You don’t know how bad it is, it could be a few scratches. He might have just been knocked out. You prayed it was something that small.

Breaking nearly every road law known to man, you made it in no time flat. Rushing into the penthouse, the elevator felt like it took eternity to reach the floor where Jeremy and Gavin were on. Rushing in, you saw Geoff and Jack, standing in front of the hallway where you assumed Gavin and Jeremy were.

Geoff stopped Meg from storming in there, “They’re still operating,” HE said softly. “Operating?” You repeated, the situation actually sinking in.

Your legs seemed to collapse but Jack was close enough to catch you. He sat you down on one of the chairs and crouched in front of you, she put a hand on your knee. You looked at her and she smiled, “They’re both tough, they’ll make it through this. They’ve been through worse,” She comforted. “What happened?” Meg asked.

Geoff sighed and sat down next to you, “We went to take down that crew that you helped us with and everything was going fine until one of them pulled out a bazooka. Aimed them right at Gavin and Jeremy, he was one of the last guys so they must’ve thought they could take one of us down with them,” “But they’re gone? None of them ae left?” You asked. “We killed every last fucker there was,” Geoff replied.

You nodded and just covered your face with your hands, wanting this to be some bad deem but you know it wasn’t. It was too real to be a dream. Hearing a door open, you looked up to see Caleb coming into the room. Geoff stood up, “They’re fine. They had some shrapnel and I had to deal with some internal bleeding but they’re good now.”

Everyone in the room seemed to exhale, removing the weight that seemed to be on everyone’s shoulders. Meg instantly, without a single word, stormed into one of the rooms which you assumed to be Gavin’s. You weren’t as eager, anxiety was eating away at you. Should you go see him? He probably wasn’t even awake but you needed to see for yourself that he was okay. That he was going to be fine.

“What are you waiting for? An invitation?” Geoff asked and shoved me towards Jeremy’s room.

With the decision being made for you, you started walking towards Jeremy’s room. You entered the room and saw Jeremy. He was pale and had an oxygen tube, the machine next to him beeping rhythmically.  You walked forward and sat down in a chair that was positioned beside the bed.

You looked down and gently grabbed his hand. It was cool and it almost made you panic with how cold it was but his breathing and the machine across from you assumed he wasn’t dead. Intertwining his hand within yours, you took a deep breath and exhaled, trying to calm yourself.

You had been so worried, from the moment Meg burst into your room until now. Anxiety had its firm hand on your heart for the duration of the dive and it wasn’t because of your crazy driving. Leaning forward you rested you head gently on your hand that was joined with Jeremy’s.

Feeling Jeremy squeeze your hand made you shoot up out of your chai and see that Jeremy was awake, but barely. He tightened his hold on you hand and smiled and without thinking, you jumped up and clasped Jeremy’s face between your hands and kissed him.

You heard him groan in pain and you pulled back, “I’m sorry!” you blurted but Jeremy stopped you. “Its fine, I’m just a little sore. I could get used to waking up like that thought,” He smiled weakly. You blushed, “I was worried,” You mumbled and started to pull way when Jeremy reached up to lace his hand on the back of head, stopping you.

You could easily overpower him at this state and just pull away but you couldn’t. Not while he looked at you like that, “I’ve been dreaming of that for weeks, you’re not getting away so easily,” He mumbled and pulled you forward into another kiss.

The Hippocratic Oath Part 2 || Ryan x Reader Insert

You were positive that you were never going to see Ryan again.

Well, you hadn’t heard from him since he left your apartment almost two weeks ago. You watched the news more than ever now, trying to see if the Fake AH crew would resurface anytime soon. You quickly realised that was unlikely.

You felt a little disappointed that you wouldn’t see him again although your rational thinking was screaming at you that you shouldn’t be pining after a criminal but you couldn’t help it. Something about him made him undeniably attractive and at the time you had blamed your lack of sleep but after a while you realised you had actually developed feelings for the Vagabond.

“You have a patient on bed 3 Doctor,” A nurse informed you. You were signing some documents but you nodded at her and grabbed your stethoscope you had place on the bench and wrapped it around your neck.

Walking through the curtain, you saw a red-headed woman sitting on the bed. She was wearing a floral top with denim shorts. After a quick scan you noticed that there wasn’t anything seemingly wrong with her. Nevertheless, you still approached her.

“So what seems to be the problem?” You asked, standing in front of her. She shrugged, “Nothing really.”

Now you were confused. Why would someone enter themselves into emergency? You walked over to her folder and glanced through to see that she had made complaints of feeling sick, throwing up and having a migraine.

The entire time, the woman didn’t take her eyes off you. Looking down you saw her name was Jack, an unusual name for a female. “If nothing’s wrong then we can just go ahead and discharge you then,” You smiled at her and turned to leave but she grabbed your arm and yanked you back.

Great, she was probably a drug addict that wanted a fix. You sometimes came across people that would go as far as bring a gun to threaten the doctors. After your first incident, you had made a note to take defence classes.

Grabbing one of her fingers, you peeled it off your arm and bent it back. Turning around you noted she was standing so you were able to swiftly turn her around and lift her arm behind her back. Shoving her onto the bed, you were able to pin her.

“Look if you want drugs, you’re better off going to some dark alley. I hear drug dealers are like rats in this city. Coming to a hospital was not a smart idea,” You hissed at her. She laughed, “I’m not here for drugs! I just came to see why my friend was so infatuated with you. Looks like he really knows how to pick ‘em,”

At that statement you let her go. Was she talking about Ryan? Jack stood back and turned around, sitting back on the bed like nothing had happened. “You mean Ryan? I haven’t spoken to him in weeks,” You said. She smiled, “That may be so but he hasn’t shut up about you. Driving me insane mind you, I’m the only one who he really talks to. I got curious and decided to see who would be crazy enough to deal with Ryan’s shit,”

You blushed when she said that. It seemed that Ryan couldn’t stop thinking about you either, the thought made you smile. Realising that Ryan hasn’t even contacted you made your smile drop. “Well, I only made sure he didn’t die. If I wasn’t a doctor I would have left him there. Now if you excuse me, I have some real patients to take care,” You told her before turning around and walking out the curtain.

Honestly, you were confused. It didn’t help that you now know Ryan seems to be interested. You shouldn’t be attracted to a criminal but dammit, you couldn’t help it. You tried to take in the fact that he was a murderer, a thief, a wanted man! You tried to keep that I the front of your thoughts but every time, your thoughts drifted back to that kiss in your kitchen.

“You’ve only known the guy for not even a day and you can’t stop thinking about him, something is wrong with you,” You muttered to yourself as you made your way to a scheduled surgery.

Later in the day, a nurse informed you that a man had broken their bone and you were the only one that could cast it. You didn’t have much experience in broken bones but since all the other doctors were busy, you had no other choice.

Waking into the room, you immediately recognized him. Could you not catch a break today? You hadn’t spoken or heard from any of them in weeks and suddenly they’re all falling out of the sky. “Yo,” The Hispanic grinned. You glared at him, “I cannot deal with this right now,” You muttered and walked out of the room. “Hey, ae you sure no other doctor are available right now? Heck, why can’t a nurse cast him?” You asked one of the nurses at the desk. “The break is pretty severe, we need a doctor or that,” She said.

You cursed your luck and begrudgingly walked back into the room and put on some gloves. The Hispanic grinned again, “So how did you break your arm… Ray?” You asked, glancing at his folder for a name. “Parkour.”

You stopped looking at his arm and looked at him in the face, “Are you experienced in Parkour?” You asked, continuing your examination of his arm. “Not really. I just thought it would look cool,” He shrugged.

You just stared at him. You couldn’t help it. You were fixing an arm of a notorious gang member who seemed to be more like a child than anything else.

“So, uh… You gonna fix my arm doc?”

Snapping back in reality you muttered a yeah and made sure the anaesthetic was fully induced before setting the arm. After that was done you left as soon as possible, too much was happening in one day. You were ready to go home and sleep the insanity away.

Your shift ended and your head was swimming. One minute you were a normal doctor, and the next you were running into gang members left, right and centre. You were never one to commit a crime, aside from underage drinking and a petty theft when you were in your young teenage rebellion years.

Walking into your apartment complex, you decided to take the stairs, give yourself a few more minutes to think. It’s not like anything could actually happen between you two. He’s a serial killer, he’s a psychopath! He probably doesn’t know what feelings are.

“Since when were you attracted to psycho?!” You shout at yourself, just as you opened the door into the hallway leading to your apartment door.

Looking ahead you stopped in your tracks. Standing in front of your door was none other than the Vagabond himself. You wanted to die right at that moment.

You noticed he was free of face paint and the mask you saw him wear often on the news. He was wearing a smug smirk as you walked up to your door, “Attracted to psycho huh?” “Why are you here?” You asked, desperate to avoid the topic. “I figured you might want to do a check-up… Doctor,”

The way he said doctor made you want to shiver. You held back that reaction and fought desperately to keep your professional expression on your face, “I’m sure your crew has a medic that can do your check-ups Ryan,” “But I’m already here!”

With a sigh, you unlocked your door and let him in. Dropping your bag on the kitchen counter, you motion for Ryan to sit on one of the stools in front of the counter. He does so accordingly and immediately takes off his shirt.

Trying your best not to ogle, you focused on his wounds. You ran your hands over them before you thought about it. Completely unprofessional medically speaking but you couldn’t help it. Dropping your hand you looked up at him, “They’ve healed very well, I can take the stitches out if you’d like?” “Sure,” He nods.

Nodding, you go and collect the necessary things and turn back round. Putting on the gloves you start to cut the stitches and removing them. After a few minutes of silence, you feel the urge to tell him what’s been on your mind since you last saw him.

“You’re a criminal,” You blurt out. Not the best way to start but you’re a little too preoccupied to think much else. “I am.” “You kill people,” You tell him next. The one thing that had bothered you the most. “Does that bother you?” You scoff, “Does it bother me? Of course it does! I’m a doctor for crying out loud, it’s what I do!” “And I’m a gang member, it’s what I do. I don’t kill because I want to, I do it because I have to. That doesn’t mean I don’t like it though, but I’m doing some good through evil. I’m protecting my crew, I’m protecting my family,” He said it with such a calm and patient voice you didn’t really know what to say.

You were struck speechless. Taking out the last few stitches, you step away and go to throw them in the bin. You let his words process for a bit, Ryan shed some light and now you didn’t know what to do with this information.

Turning back around, you were slightly disappointed that he had put his shirt back on. Nevertheless, you looked him in the eyes, “So why exactly are you here?” You ask.

He stood up and approached you, getting extremely close and in your personal space but you didn’t really think to move away. You felt like prey at that moment, the way Ryan was looking at you. He reached up and brushed away few strands of hair that had fallen into your face, “You captivate me,”

You tried not to think how that sentence alone made you feel a little warm. He knew how to be charming, that’s for sure. “And where exactly is this going to go Ryan? You’re a criminal, a mass murderer, I’m a doctor who doesn’t have single scratch on their record!” “Do you honestly care?” “Of course I c-“

Ryan interrupted by kissing you. Without thinking twice you kissed him back, you couldn’t help it. He was too damn good of kisser not to. When he pulled back, you were in a daze a struggling to remember what you were talking about.

Grabbing his face, you pulled him back down and crashed your lips together. Fuck it, you were past the point of caring now. You had thought too hard and all that resulted in was multiple headaches. You had made your decision then and there, and started pulling him towards your bedroom.

The next morning you woke up next to Ryan. You were surprisingly happy. You should be feeling regret but you couldn’t make yourself feel anything like that. Looking at the clock, you realised the time and was out of bed in an instant.

That seemed to have woken Ryan up and he just silently watched you rush around, “What are you doing?” He mumbled. “I’m running late, I have work in ten minutes,” You said, putting on your scrubs and rushing into the bathroom to fix your hair and brush your teeth.

Walking back out Ryan still hadn’t moved. He was laying in your bed, a sheet teasingly covering his lower body. He caught you staring and smirked, “You can call in sick,” He suggested.

Snapping out of your trance you immediately went back to getting ready, “I can’t, the hospital is short staffed as it is,” You replied and put your shoes on. “Let’s hope none of your crew are there again today,” You called from the kitchen. “What?” He walks in a few minutes later only in a pair of jeans, “What are you talking about?” “Jack and Ray were both there yesterday. Ray broke his arm,” You explained. Looking at the time, you swore under your breath and picked up your bag. Hesitating for a short moment, you turned and gave Ryan a quick kiss. You shouted to lock the door when he left and rushed out of the apartment.

Los Santos wasn’t the safest of places. You knew that, hell – everyone in Los Santos knew that. That’s why you always carried a gun while you walked home, better to be safe than dead.

You were walking through an alley, not the brightest of ideas, but you had just worked a 36 hour shift and you were desperate to get home and into your bed. That decision instantly came to bite you in the ass when you were stopped by a dark, looming figure. The gun that was instantly in your pocket clicked, signalling that the safety was off.

He looked down as you pulled your gun out of its hiding spot and he straightened himself up. You instantly noticed how he was favouring his left side when standing. Looking more closely, you spotted that his right ribcage was bleeding.

You looked back up to see him staring you down, “Your hurt,” You told him. “And if you knew what was good for you, you’d continue on your way and shoot anything that moves.”

Your eyes, now adjusted to the dark, were able to study his face and you saw the face paint splattered across his face. Putting the gun back on safety, you stashed in in the waistband of your pants behind you.

You walked up to him and lifted his leather jacket, hoping to see the wound more closely, “Hey!” He yelled.

You knew the great Vagabond wasn’t much of a threat in this state. You got your torch out of your pocket with practiced precision and grabbed his face, forcing it down to your height. Shining it in his eyes, doing a quick check up you realised you didn’t have long. The almighty criminal of Los Santos was on deaths door.

You could leave him here. You could do the city a favour and just leave him here to die. It’s not like he’s going to find the cure for cancer or stop world hunger. He’s a criminal.

In the end, you looped his masculine arm over your shoulder and cursed the oath that you swore on as a doctor. Even if you weren’t in a hospital, you still had to uphold the oath. No matter how much you hated it.

Lugging a man that could easily be twice your size was easier said than done. You thanked whatever god was out there that your apartment was just outside the alley.

Once he was on your couch, you checked his vitals once more. He was still alive but barely. You went to your box of stolen stock and got out the necessities. Working at a hospital had its perks sometimes.

By the time you got back to the couch, the Vagabond had somehow woken up. You crouched in front of him and grimaced, “You should’ve stayed asleep buddy,” “Where am I?” He asked, his words slurring. You took off his leather jacket before so all you had to do is deal with the shirt which you would be able to take off without more substantial blood loss. Ignoring his question you looked up at him, “Do you like this shirt?” You asked. “What?” “Do you like this shirt? Yes or no?” You were wasting time. “Not really – Wait! Hey!”

Without missing a beat you grabbed the scissors and cut straight down the middle, revealing what looked to be a shot wound paired with a stab wound. You whistled lowly, impressed he was still standing when you had found him.

You didn’t have any anaesthetic on you so you had grabbed one of you leather belts, to which you handed to him now. He seemed to immediately understand what you were going to do and put it in his mouth.

“I don’t have any anaesthetic on me unfortunately, so I’m going to have to get you to not move. Rip that belt in half I don’t care but if you move while I’m digging this bullet out will result in more blood loss and if that happens your dead. Got it?”

He seemed a bit awestruck but you clicked his fingers in front of his face, “Got it? I’m going to stitch up the knife wound first. Then I’m digging the bullet out, I hope you have a high pain tolerance,” You muttered the last part to yourself before putting the gloves on and getting to work.

Stitching up the knife didn’t elicit any reaction from him which made you look up a few times to check he hadn’t passed out but every time you looked up he was either biting down on the leather or just watching you.

Once you finished stitching up the knife wound you took a deep breath. You didn’t know how deep the bullet was so you were going in blind, always a lovely combination.

You saw his whole body tense when you put the tweezers in the whole. He started screaming and you heard the leather strain from his bite. Thankfully, you were almost an expert on bullet wounds seeing that you worked in Los Santos so you were able to get the bullet with practiced precision.

His head lolled back after you got the bullet out. You had a moment of panic, “Hey, you still with me?” No response.

You raised your hand to feel for a pulse in his neck and sighed to feel a faint heartbeat. You went back to stitching the bullet wound up and cleaned both wounds and wrapped gauze around his torso.

You had been kneeling on the floor so your knees had popped once you stood up and started walking around. You took the gloves and all your other dirty cloths and tools and put them in the bin. You looked at the couch to see he was still sleeping. You had moved his position to lie down, so he was comfortable.

Every now and then you walked up and checked his pulse, relieved that it was getting stronger every time you checked it. It had been a few hours, you hadn’t gotten a wink of sleep and you were on your fifth cup of coffee. You groaned as you stood up to go check on the Vagabond again and crouched down in front of the couch.

Now that you were in proper lighting and most of the paint had worn off, you found he was actually attractive. Not that criminals were your type, but he seemed a lot less threatening when he was sleeping.

“What are you doing?” You groaned to yourself. You can’t go crushing on criminals, albeit it might just be your sleep deprivation making you slightly delirious.

You raised you hand and placed two of your fingers on his neck, you looked down at your watched and started counting. At thirty second, your hand was grabbed and a startled shriek escaped your lips. Looking up you saw he was staring you down coldly.

That look made you feel chill to the bone. You suddenly understood why he was feared by all of Los Santos. That one look explained it all.

You oath once again jumped to the forefront of your mind and snapped you out of your terrified episode. Slipping back into your professional persona, you snatched your hand away, “Good, you’re awake. I can take your vitals properly now,” You had made your voice steady as possible and was glad it was.

You turned to get your stethoscope and sphygmomanometer, turning back you kneeled in front of the couch again. His face had dropped the cold look thankfully but now it was just blank. Like he was trying to study and assess if I was a threat.

“You’ll have to sit up, but please do so slowly and carefully. I don’t want to stitch you up again. You’ve already ruined one of my belts.”

He did as you instructed, although it was with a low groan. You grabbed your stethoscope and warmed it up with your breath before placing it on his chest, “Breath in,” You told him. He did as you asked and you repeated that process a few times. Then you grabbed your sphygmomanometer and wrapped it around his arm. Taking his blood pressure you noted it was low, “Considering you lost quite a bit of blood, I’m not surprised it’s low. It’s pretty much expected really,” You told him, he just nodded.

You grabbed you torch and held his chin, he flinched at first at the sudden contact, he must had a bruised jaw. You paused, “Sorry, I can be a bit harsh in my check-ups,” You muttered.

He said nothing as you gently grabbed his chin and shone the light in his eyes. Instructing him to look straight ahead, he instead looked at you. You checked his pupils and saw his dilation as normal and that he had some really blue eyes.

It was then you realised you had been staring at him for at least 5 minutes. Snapping out of your trance, you cleared your throat, way to be professional, you scolded yourself. You looked back up to see him looked smug, “Your vitals are good. They’re strong considering you’ve been shot and stabbed,” “Are you a nurse?” He asked. You glared at him, “A doctor, if you must know.”

As you went to walk away he grabbed your hand, “Thank you. I know a lot of people would have just let me die in the alley way,” He said softly. “Not a lot of people swore on the Hippocratic Oath,” You replied.

He just grinned, “Do you have a phone, I need to let some people know I’m okay,” “I know who you are, I’m not stupid Vagabond,” You replied handing him a phone. He simply stared at you while you held out your phone. Once he took it, you turned to make yourself another cup of coffee. Once you were in the kitchen you let out a big breath that you didn’t know you were holding. You thought for sure you would be dead once he found out that you knew. Well he is calling his crew, there’s still time.

Of course, he knows where you live too. He can kill you anytime he pleases, he knows you’re a doctor he can easily find out where you work. You have actually gone and killed yourself. You got yourself into a huge fucking mess.

You went to get the milk but you had run into a body instead. The Vagabond trapped you between himself and counter and attacked you.

You didn’t even have time to scream before his lips were on yours. Your eyes wide with surprise, it wasn’t long though before your sleep deprived mind went along with the insanity and you started to kiss him back.

Your hands found their way into his hair and you tugged at hem painfully. He groaned before lifting you up onto the counter and kissing you more viciously, “Your wounds,” You managed to gasp as he started kissing down your neck. “Fuck ‘em” He muttered as his lips found yours.

You took off your shirt and grabbed his face to kiss him deeply, someone coughed beside you and Ryan instantly pulled a gun on them with missing a beat. You turned to see a guy in a brown leather jacket, he had a head full of auburn curls and freckles. Behind him was a Hispanic in a purple hoodie, “I feel like I just walked in on my parents banging,” The Hispanic muttered.

You blushed a bright red and Vagabond handed you your shirt back. You muttered a thank you and hastily put it on. You got down from the counter and walked into your lounge room where the three of them were talking.

The Hispanic and the curly-haired one left the apartment but the Vagabond stayed, “How did they get into my apartment?” You asked him. “The probably picked the lock,” He shrugged.

You sighed and rubbed your face, when you looked back up he was there about to caress your cheek, “You look tired,” He murmured. “I’ve been looking after you for five hours after doing a 36 hour shift at the hospital. I’m a little tired Vagabond,” You snapped.

He just chuckled and turned to leave, you followed him out but he paused in the doorway. He turned around and gave you another kiss on the lips, “The names Ryan, and get some sleep, ok?”

Without another word he turned and walked into the elevator at the end of the hall and gave me a short wave as the doors closed. You turned and walked back into the apartment, closing the door. You leant against it and slid down to the floor, “I just kissed the most wanted man in Los Santos,” You muttered to yourself in disbelief.

Caffeine Buzz || Michael x Reader Insert

Pairing: Michael Jones x Reader Rating: PG -13 for a little cussing Word Count: 858 Summary: After being friends for a while, Michael finally grows the balls to ask you out on a date.

Working in the animation department was amazing. It was hell reincarnated, but amazing none the less. Whenever you seemed to be running down though, your very own devil in disguise would come across the building just to bring you a coffee.

You caught sight of Michael coming your way with a cup of steaming coffee and a can red bull and you felt the tension drop from your shoulders. Seeing Michael does that. “One black coffee, for Miss I-refuse-to-sleep-like-a-normal-person”

You rolled his eyes at his antics. Ever since you had caught him rolling around the animation desks like an idiot after a rage quit you guys had become fast friends. You had gone out to your car, to grab a jacket because the office had started to get cold while Michael had searched for any remaining employees. When you got back, Michael had grabbed a chair and was firing a wooden gun at god knows what.

He launched himself at the chair and it was fair to say that it didn’t end well. He grumbled something about not leaving him alone and went towards his phone he had positioned. Was he filming himself? It wasn’t that he turned back around that he saw you standing there, he froze and looked at the commotion he had just caused then back at you.

“It wasn’t – I was just – Content!”

Since then, you guys had talked whenever you bumped into each other which was normally in the kitchen. Then Michael started to bring you coffee at all the right times. He was slowly becoming your saving grace, especially when it was crunch time.

After Michael stayed for a few moments, talking while you drank your coffee and he drank his red bull he walked back to the achievement hunter office. Watching him walk away you sighed almost wistfully.

“Mm girl, you got it bad,”

You jumped and turned to miles who was in a chair next to you, leaning back so far he was in a lot of danger of falling. You looked at Miles face, where he was wagging his eyebrows constantly. You looked back to Michael’s retreating frame and back to Miles, “Me? And Mich – no, definitely not. We’re just friends.” “Don’t pull that bullshit on me, I just watched you swoon at him!”

You blushed furiously and glared at him, “Did you just come over here to pick on me or are you actually doing something productive for once?” “So glad you asked! I actually am, I need you to go over some lines in the recording booth,” Miles grinned.

You rolled your eyes and stood up, following Miles to the recording booth.

It seemed the whole company was running late into the night. By now, it was just you and a few other editors straggling behind but it seemed fairly busy. Achievement Hunter was making a ruckus and that wasn’t very usual this time of night. After a while it seemed to die down and they all started to leave one by one.

It was nearing into the am when you were once again, the only person left in the building. Unless, that’s what you thought until you spotted Michael walking up with your cup of coffee. You couldn’t help the smile that snuck its way onto your face.

“You enable my addiction, you know that right?” You hummed happily as you sipped the coffee, the caffeine working quickly through your system. “Anything to get to see you every day.”

It was things like that that made you fall a little deeper in love with Michael Jones. He was just charming, without missing a beat and it always made your heart beat just that little bit faster.

It was then Michael started to fidget and you furrowed your eyebrows, a little confused. Michael was never one to fidget, he hated it. It was pet peeve that quickly set off his jersey rage, “Is something wrong?”

“Go on a date with me.”

It was so quick and sudden you seriously thought you had imagined it. Surely you must have fallen asleep at your desk again, and you’re dreaming the entire thing. You just stared at him, “What?”

“I mean – what I meant to say – fuck! Would you please go on a date with me?”

Ok, so you weren’t dreaming, you had slyly pinched yourself on the leg very painfully. Nor were you hallucinating. You were speechless, until Michael called out your name to bring you out of your daze. “Uh, yeah, sure. Of course, I’d love to.” You managed to mutter out.

Michael seemed to relax and smiled the biggest smile you had ever seen on his face. He jumped up straighter, “Great! See you tomorrow night at even,”

He kissed you on the cheek and walked off. Whistling and kicking a little skip in his step you were pretty sure you were in shock. You couldn’t believe this was happening. When it finally kicked in that you had a date, that you of all people had a date with The Michael Jones, you couldn’t keep the grin off your face. Suddenly, tomorrow seemed like an eternity away.
