The saddest day of the season… winter haul-out day.

The cabin is emptied, every cushion and chart packed away. The sails—those wings that carried us through countless perfect days—folded and stowed until spring.

And there she was… my beautiful, majestic sailboat looking more like a lumbering sea lion as she crept down the road toward winter storage. It never stops feeling strange, watching your boat move on land—slow, awkward, out of place—like she knows she belongs on the water.

Now the dock sits empty. Quiet. A little melancholy.

Another season tucked away under tarps and winter sky.

Rest well, old friend.
